Re: [ANN] ❤ Medic Coin ❤ Folding@Home GPU Mining Masternode Coin

Just did some digging today, and found some interesting things about the MedicCoin white paper (https://mediccoin.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/MedicCoinWhitePaper.pdf.)

Almost the entire white paper is plagiarising a plethora of different uncited sources, yet the author cites a whole page of different sources that are supposedly used. It seems like the sources page itself might be conveniently copied and pasted from elsewhere. Example: Page 9 in the MedicCoin whitepaper is entirely snipped from www.americanwell.com/how-hospitals-are-reducing-medical-costs-with-telehealth, yet you don't cite the source or author Beth Principi. Same goes for page 8 using text from healthcarefinancenews.com/news/5-ways-telemedicine-reducing-cost-healthcare and author Steff Deschenes.

Page 3 and 4 are 100 % taken from another crypto white paper for the project atlant.io https://grupo4s.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Atlant_WP_publish.pdf. According to searches, atlant.io published their WP on July 29th 2017, 13 days after mediccoin.com was registered as a website. Maybe both projects have the same "devs" for all I know, since I just read about atlant.io on Bitcointalk and....surprise.... it's another scam. Scammers often create and operate multiple scams at the same time, and create new ones once the "old ones" start running dry. Unfortunately, there's an almost unlimited pool of victims for them to scam in crypto, which is why projects like these keep appearing.

The thing is: If you can't be bothered to author a quality whitepaper, and have no issues with stealing other people's publications, then why should we trust you at all?

In my opinion, the ONLY way you can prove that you are not a scam, is for every single member of your team to come clean with their real identities, what their skills are related to this project, complete insight into the status of the project, who is doing what and so forth. If you are not a scam, then unfortunately your team does not possess the capabilities of creating any meaningful product within a reasonable timeframe in this industry, and we are all wasting our time here.

First post. Could someone in the know give me their thoughts on if Masternodes are a profitable endeavor and if so which one recommended. Been watching crowdcoin, but really a novice at this.
Thanks

Here are my suggestions:
Did you notice of masternode coins coming out every week or even everyday?  How do you evaluate these coins to lessen your chance of being a bag holder?

First, you have to look at their website.  Does the website look like it is hap hazardously put together to catch the masternode frenzy?  This is a sign of a bad coin.  In this case, the owners just want their coins to be listed on masternodes.online and sell for a couple million dollars then create another coin and abandon ship.  You can get burn very badly because you are chasing after the 3000% ROI.  What's the point if it is going to crash a week later?

Second, the coin needs to show who the developers/owners are.  This is one of the only way to know that they are serious enough to develop a coin for long term.  Why is it ok for these masternode coins to hide their identities?  It is NOT ok.  This is a big red flag.  They want to hide their identities so they can create another masternode coin the following week and continue doing that onward.  It is very easy to fork another masternode coin.  So a coin without a team is a BIG RED FLAG.

Third, ask to see if this coin has a community or products to support it.  If there is no products or community to support it then you will be a bag holder very soon.

So these are the top three suggestions to evaluate masternode coins, as they are breeding like weed and you don't want to be a bag holder.

I highlighted the most interesting points you made in that other thread. Thanks for clearing that up, founder, we are now bagholders.

H.O.D.L

Masternode hosting platform is doing great.  Medic Walk is a good app.  Protein folding to help scientists is in full force.

1. No it's not, there is nothing special about your hosting platform that others haven't done before, and it's completely useless with respect to what Medic Coin was "supposed" to do. Just another cog in your scam machinery, an attempt to create more buy volume you can dump your premined coins on.

2. There's always something wrong with the app, and a twelve year old could've made a better version.

3. Protein folding really has nothing to do with Medic Coin, it can be done by anyone with computing power, you're just using it to lure people into your scammy project.

Your scam coin is currently trading at 5 satoshis, and it will probably reach 1 in a few months, and I guess that will be when we don't hear from you ever again.

If I upload CSV files to sync from Exodus, will it keep syncing later on, or will I have to upload CSV files regularly?
Hey Propagandalf,

A CSV file is just a text document with the transactions at the time of the download.
It can not sync automatically and you will have to import new files once there are new transactions in your wallet.

But you can try the BTC Wallet Import, which can automatically import all your transactions from a Coin address.

Best,
Dario

Thanks for the reply.

Is there a limit to how many portfolios we can create and join to the same (unlimited) account?

Do you have, or will you add support for assets hosted on the Bitshares platform?

HOW TO JOIN AIRDROPS

I'm just speechless when comments like this come along with full caps and no punctuation, especially when the snapshot block has already passed. The question you should ask yourself is: Why should we spend our time answering you, when you can't even be bothered to read a few pages in this thread? Ironically, I have already wasted time on answering you.

That was a very good read, thanks. I agree with you!

Do you reckon it is more likely that new ASICs based on 7 nm chips won't reach the markets before second half of 2018?

IMO I would say this is for sure.

Chip manufacturers are saying something like this:

https://www.hpcwire.com/2017/06/13/globalfoundries-7nm-chips-coming-2018-euv-2019
http://www.androidauthority.com/who-will-be-the-first-manufacturer-to-7nm-757916

So how long does it take to develop new ASIC models from these chips may take some time so maybe it will be 2019 until retail level can buy products based on these chips ?!

Hopefully we will see a lot of new ASIC manufacturers popping up -> lower prices and more availability. Maybe new unexpected players from Russia or other countries ?

I can confirm that the iBeLink DMG11G sounds like a jet engine, lol.

How long have you had it / any idea of how many more theyre sending out and looks like this a5 30 gh/s is a bit of a cluster . . O_O

I have had it for a few weeks already. I have no idea about how many others are being sent out, sorry.
How long estimated until you ROI?

About 6-8 months in my case (I paid a high premium), but ROI is tricky to work out since prices are volatile, and also since I don't sell all my minted coins right away.

The Spreadcoin wallet takes a day to download the blockchain so alot of people who have only coins on Bittrex and no local wallet would get F...ed

*snip*

*snip*
But you are right, it takes a day at least do download and sync the wallet. That's why I have already downloaded and start it up for an hour once in every other day just to keep it synced in case Bittrex won't participate.

Even if your wallet is not synced, you can still see your address for receiving coins, can't you? If yes, then you can still send coins to your wallet, but you won't be able to see them until you are fully synced. If I am correct, then nobody is fucked so long as you can view your address.

There's a good chance many people will dump their SPR right after the HLM snapshot, so dumpers will need to be quick off the mark. It's therefore going to be exciting to see whether price continues to climb towards the end of month (snapshot), or if people will dump a couple days before to ensure a nice profit (but forfeiting their HLM claim). Hodling both can of course be worthwhile too. There are many ways to play this game. Nonetheless, I am excited to run a master node for the first time.  Cool

There seems to be so much exciting stuff happening with BTS, and the entire platform in its current shape is functional and great too. BTS appears to be one of the most promising platform out there, in my opinion. Yet, the value is so low. Does anyone have an educated guess as to why that is?

Prospector is definetly the better miner for AMDs RX than sgminer:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2033185.0

Prospector 0.0.5 alpha: 20,2-20,4 MH/s @1350/2100 @RX480
Never seen the Reddevil before over 2x,x MH/s.

And it has alpha status again. More is possible.
Stable by me with 17.7.2.
seems better hash rate....

Anyone had a chance to review the code yet, in case there is something nasty hidden there?

Nuclear bomb or what? Cheesy

What's the utility/purpose of the Bitshares coin within the Bitshares decentralized exchange?

Do Bitshares coin holders get the trading fees (are there any?) from the Bitshares decentralized exchange?

Thanks

It's the basis currency for blockchain, like including rewards + fees (although through currency pools you can pay fees with some tokens too)

Bitshares lets you vote and help fund and change the bitshares network through workers (there's stuff on that in original post) or even just select a proxy to vote for you if you are busy.

Bitshares was the first DAC or more commonly now called DAO, before Dash and Ethereum. The entire blockchain works through delegated votes for witnesses as well. http://docs.bitshares.org/bitshares/whatis.html

You can also use BTS as collateral to borrow smart coins like bitCNY or bitUSD into existence which are kept at CNY or USD value through smart contracts, redeemable for that much worth of BTS by settling by anyone in their possession.

There's fixed number of them total as well.

Hope that helps.

I think maybe he is wondering if you receive any kind of dividends from holding BTS, rather than reinvesting BTS into for instance OBITS. At least I wonder about this.
