So DeltaNineDev has had his BTCT accounts banned? I'm confused. If I am reading this correctly he received a ban and then a further ban for creating the YesWeCANN acc. That seems a little excessive considering how little moderation there usually is.

Sorry if I was a little rude about the whole greed thing, we all lost some and we're all a little bummed about it but I really think focusing on using the coin as intended at this point is paramount to both launching the coin and increasing the market cap. I'm trying not to think about it like that though, I lost a loved one this year to a disease that is treatable with cannabis, she died because of the laws in my country so I am motivated by that more so than the profits.

All this price talk makes me sad, sure we all want to make money but lets focus on the sick people first, everything will come together eventually. All the talk of whales and PnD's just exposes all of us as greedy dicks, lets not be greedy dicks and do some good for people who deserve it.

Okay so I am in the process of placing an ad in the classified section of azmarijuana.com, they have a section where people can donate cannabis etc so hopefully they will approve my ad and people in AZ can see it!

Am I the only one(other than the devs) working on getting coins to patients? If not I would love to hear your strategy(s) since it seems a little difficult from outside the US.

I know 95% of the people here are just in it for the money but think of all the good we can do. If you have lost a family member to cancer, AIDS, ALS or just about anything else then you know the pain they suffered with. We can reduce that. It isn't all about profit, it is about ending unnecessary pain and suffering.

If I start getting interest from azmarijuana.com I may post a donation address to help me along but so far I am committed to give 1k CANN for free to patients. I know it is only a few dollars for me but it can be a new lease on life for the person who receives some.

Okay, lets brainstorm. How can we contact MMJ users in Arizona? I have looked for some but not had much luck, I went through azmarijuana.com and contacted everyone seeking donations of cannabis explaining how CANN works etc. I'll see if I get some replies but there wasn't many people.

I can give 10 CANN to anyone who shows me a valid AZ MMJ card(photo of them holding, just not a scan) for like 100 people but how do I reach them?

Clasically a pump and dump is when a large holder(or rich manipulator) drives up the price of a coin by buying large amounts. Once the price takes off a little they sell their holdings at a profit and drive the price down. Some may accumulate more from the wreckage, others may keep the profits and move on.

This is irrelevant for CANN and here is why...

Cryptocurrency have fallen prey to it in the past because they have no backing, no true, intrinsic value. PnD's only work in a limited market such as isolated cryptos, if you bring in enough 'outside money' such as from cannabis related VC's then the whales won't be able to do a thing.

Commodity backed currencies are new and just figuring out how they work, our society is so divorced from 'backed' money that most people don't even understand it. Back in the day money used to be nothing more than receipts/vouchers for gold, now we can make our own money and use a consumable commodity which in many was is actually better.

Most people on this thread do not really grasp the finer points of the legal marijuana trade or how backed currencies function. Sure when you back your currency with X amount of gold you need to have that same x amount gold held. If you back it with a consumable product you just need to be able to keep up with demand which at the moment is fairly low. Stoners are creative and will do anything for cheaper bud, CANN will inevitably rise through people buying in with outside money(IE not 'whales') and many people hodling. People were hoping to make huge profits overnight but that was fairly unreasonable anyway.

The fact is that 1 Cann = 1g of bud, given a long enough time frame the value will rise.

Personally I think this is the time to get some donations to med patients set up, some sort of CANN fund. Imagine being able to say that you donated KILOS to poor med patients. That will not be possible in a few months or years.

Edit: If you are new to crypto you probably also need to know that we have some of the most creative and diverse trolls, don't believe anything you see or read that could possibly have an agenda. Just be nice and ignore all the horrible, vindictive people that lurk around.

I meant that their technical skills seem fairly strong, there has been some crossed words and things handled poorly, I agree. The problem with crypto is that 9/10 people are trolling for one reason or another and it creates a hostile environment.

I wasn't trying to push CCN really, just pointing out that they are different. I agree completely that they should have handled the address issue in the previous thread more professionally.

I think that site is for CANNACOIN(CCN), not CANNABISCOIN(CANN). CCN is probably a good investment as well(I have a few) but they are not the same. Be careful when sending coins as CCN addresses appear valid to the CANN wallet so you can loose your coins.

I suggest checking out the CCN thread, they are great devs.

Oooh, that is a good idea, I've never used Craigslist before but I will have a look. I've got 1k CANN just waiting to go to some patients, it is a few dollars to me but it could literally save lives and that is more important.

It would be great if D9 could set something up that is a bit more formal but for the time being I'm happy to hunt out a few benefactors myself.

It would be really, really nice if we could shift the dialogue here away from price and on to more important aspects like building infrastructure with charities and as you mentioned setting things like PayPal -> CANN.

I have been scouring through azmarijuana.com looking for patients who need meds, I have contacted as many as I can find who are in need and have sent them a simple explanation of CANN and offered to send them enough to get some meds, if anyone can find a better way of finding those in need I would love to hear it.

Personally I don't think the discussions should be so focused on the price and PnD's, we should be looking at building infrastructure to help sick people who can't afford $20-30/gram. That is what the coin is for, not filling the pockets of crypto nerds.

Hi first post here but I was lucky enough to get in before the pump so I'm still in profit, the dump has made me(I imagine I am not alone) a little disheartened but it seems like the perfect time to set up a charitable fund.

Unfortunately I am not capable of organising it (at least at a local level) but I was thinking that it would be a great idea if we could hook up somehow with local MMJ clubs, veterans groups, cancer groups and others that have a lot of people who require med as cheap as possible.

Is there anyone in Arizona who can think of any groups that would benefit from having CANN donated? It should be easy enough for them to set up a CANN wallet and distribute it amongst those who need it.

This is a great opportunity for us to show that crypto is not all about greed and it could really help push forward the #YESWECANN movement. If we can donate kilos of MMJ to those who need it then at the very least the spirit of CANN is doing what it should be.

This is more important than any media attention or pumps to the price, we can help the people who really need it.

I will happily donate 1k CANN if we can get a system set in place to distribute to those in need.

Any thoughts or even if someone can point me in the direction of a group worth contacting that would be greatly appreciated.

I found the lack of contrast in the original a little glaring, I felt a stark black/white was serious enough. It is just a very rough draft, if you would like it tightened up I'll be happy to have a play around with it.

If anyone has any suggestions or comments I would be happy to hear them. Please bear in mind it is a rough draft to gauge whether t is worth spending a couple of hours on.
