Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1)

What a week though!

First Lille crushed Lorient by 7-1 away. Actually Lorient didn't start the season horribly so this score might seem a bit unexpected. However I saw some results such as 4-0, 4-1 too in their head-to-heads so I shouldn't be too surprised.  Tongue

And finally PSG showed what they were made of in offense. A 6-3 win... The defense was really poor at the same time. I'm expecting improvement against Lens next time.

Coming through Benfica's youth system, Neves impressed during his time with the reserve side, winning the UEFA Youth League in 2021–22, being instrumental part of Benfica's first European trophy in 60 years. He will be very instrumental to PSG with his current form.

And PSG’s next game will be at home to Lens in a fortnight, after the upcoming international break and just before they begin their defence of the Champions League title at home to Atalanta on September 17..

Re: How quickly do you forget a loss
by
RealNoblee
on 31/08/2025, 17:25:37 UTC
For experience gamble its normal about how much loss and win, its not matter for them one day loss because the next will win so easily forgetting when loss position.
In my case it is different, I tend to forget whether I win or lose, because for me playing another day is another game session and I don't like to think or bring up past experiences so as not to repeat such mistakes, it's like a restart.

Actually there's no quick way to "forget" a loss in gambling; instead, the goal is learn to be patiently calculating to cope with loss because for as long as you keep pushing to recover what's lost, the more vulnerable you are to more losses.

While the intense frustration of a loss will eventually diminish with time if you are not too anxious, because you will likely always remember the rate of input and the loss, but you'll find ways to move forward with new approach.

Re: 99% of players will never get rich on bets.

Just by looking at the terms and conditions, it's clear that players have a lower win rate than loss rate, while the house edge has a higher win rate and a lower loss rate. But this shouldn't be surprising, as this is normal, as they're seeking profit, and this is a business. If you enjoy gambling, you must set limits and maintain discipline so you don't overdo it. And don't place high expectations on gambling, as this can lead to ruin.
[/quote]

Another factor is how the bookmaker arrange the odds to cover themselves and tempt bettors into going against their own instincts.
For example, if betting on Manchester United to beat Burnley, you will get very badlow odds. To make any decent money, then, you’ll have to put down a huge wager this can still go wrong, either by Burnley pulling off a shock win at the Old Trafford Stadium, or the game resulting in a draw, meaning you lose a lot of money.

Betting on Burnley will get you some relatively good odds (but not so amazing that you could retire on the winnings) so you can place much less money on it – but then you’re likely to be throwing that money away, simply because the likelihood of Burnley winning is so remote. Over a period of time, then, gamblers tend to make too many mistakes and come out down overall.

I don't think it will be wise for Donnarumma to join Galatasaray when he has an option like Manchester City, because it will be a down grade from my own perspective.  He is a world glass goal keeper a day deserves to be playing in the big leagues and I also believe that Manchester City will be a good fit for him.
Ederson is also a very good goal keeper and Galatasaray could make do of that option and it will also be a good bargain for them.

Donnarumma's move to the Etihad is said to hinge on City's former first-choice keeper Ederson, who is wanted by Galatasaray, departing the club.

PSG have already moved on from Donnarumma, replacing him with former Lille keeper Lucas Chevalier.

Who else noticed that while Bruno Fernandes went to take the penalty, Ruben Amorim bent his face down and became fixated on his shoes more than what was going on on the pitch? It seemed funny, like he wasn't so confident in his players and their ability to deliver. I tell you, Ruben would have more eyes on him now that it's a fresh season and even with the players that have been signed, there would be lots of expectations.
One loss and a draw in two games and that has never been a good record. I'm not going to lie and say that the way Man UTD are playing now isn't more improved than that of last season because we're seeing it. The connection between Bryan Mbuemo and Matheus Cunha is electric and the way I see it, it won't be long before either of them records their first goal for the club.

Mr Ruben Amorim must understand these things if doesn't want continue in putting his face down through out the season.

Bruno Fernandez is not a Central Midfielder and he will never be! Bruno is a complete and very good attacking Midfielder and must not be played out of position

Amad Diallo is one of the best One v One Right wingers in England... He is never a wing-back... Playing him out of position will continue to be a disãster for Man United

How can you have many strikers in your team but insist on Playing Mason Mount as a False-9? Why not play Rasmus Hojlund or Chidi Obi as your striker if you don't want to start Benjamin Sesko?

Change your formation immediately, Your 3-4-2-1 has never worked at Old trafford, pls change it... You are making Man United Fans a laughing stock for no reason.

Also according the statistic. Amorim records more games instead of points. Enough to say he's fraud, his strategy is flawed. The better they without him rather than has a manager that has no use to the club. If their gamble to him won't pay back this season, i'm sure they will finish at the half bottom again. Interesting to wait how they will play against Burnley. If they can't even win against Burnley, sack him, then bring Glasner in.

BTC climbed to 1.7% of global money
by

on 24/08/2025, 12:36:36 UTC
Bitcoin grew to account for about 1.7% of global money, a figure that includes aggregate M2 money supply data for all major fiat currencies, the largest minor currencies, and gold’s market cap.

The data assumes Bitcoin has a market capitalization of $2.4 trillion, which it topped earlier in August. However, BTC’s current market cap is approximately $2.29 trillion, which brings its total share of global money down to around 1.66% which is a great deal.

Re: What do gamblers have in common?
by

on 24/08/2025, 12:11:39 UTC
Gamblers has this act of risking something of value on an event for an outcome that is not certain and with the hope of bigger return.
This applies to all forms of gambling, from lotteries to casino games and even social casino games that enhances betting.

But while the act of gambling itself is a common behavior, it's also necessary to recognize the potential negative consequences that follows it, such as financial stress, emotional distress, and relationship difficulties.

Strategy does not ‘move the price’ of Bitcoin,
by
RealNoblee
on 22/08/2025, 13:05:31 UTC
It has been found that Bitcoin has had mixed behavior around Strategy’s most important purchases, with some cases where Bitcoin increased, and others where it decreased after a Strategy buy.

On Nov. 25, 2024 the company said it had acquired about 55,000 Bitcoin for $5.4 billion between Nov. 18, 2024 and 24, 2024 at an average price of $97,862 per coin.

Just a few weeks later, on Dec. 17, 2024 Bitcoin reached an all-time hike above $106,000, following a broader rally following President Donald Trump’s US election victory, CoinMarketCap data shows.

Another instance, on July 29, 2025 Strategy bought 21,021 BTC for about $2.46 billion, yet within four days the price fell nearly 4%, sliding to $113,320 by Aug. 2.

But with all this, traders and investors still get fulfillment when Saylor posts a Bitcoin price chart in the hopes the company will announce another large Bitcoin purchase.

Hard fought three Points for Arsenal today against Manchester United, they did not have much chances but they took the one that came and converted it into a goal. Manchester United fan should also be happy even though they did not win the team has improved significantly and I believe that the will bounce back in the next match.

My take on the new players is that Victor Gyökeres is physical and he will survive the English premier league, Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo had a good game too but Sesko did not do much when he came on.
The best player in this game based on my opinion, is Gabriel and William Saliba. These players were solid in defense and made it difficult for Manchester United to get a goal. Gabriel had an impressive three blocks while Williams was solid with seven clearances. It was a good start for Arsenal as they got three points from a strong team.

Airlines in the UAE accept Bitcoin foe flight bookings.

Some people will always argue that Bitcoin is been used only as an asset. But day by day there has been an adoption of Bitcoin as a currency. For airlines in the United Arab Emirate to have the option of using Bitcoin and other coins means that customers have demanded it.

Airlines like Emirates, Air Arabia, Travala and Alternative Airlines, now support cryptocurrency payments for bookings. This is an indication that Bitcoin adoption and use are growing. So the perception that Bitcoin is used only as an asset is not true.

Re: Are foreign products getting cheaper?
by
RealNoblee
on 30/07/2025, 07:07:57 UTC
these days, it is rare to see a direct reflection of the dollar price on the price of imported goods when the naira is gaining. even if importers pays less  amount to bring the goods down to Nigeria and even get the goods at a cheaper rate, it is rear to see them reducing the price or taking it to normal. the phone i bought at the time the exchange rate was really on the high side is even more expensive at the moment than it was at the time i bought it.

the statistician general of the federation just released a statement that the inflation rate has dropped down from the 34.80 percent recorded in December to 24.48 percent. ideally, such difference is supposed to have an obvious effect in the price of goods but we all know the difference between figures and what is really happening on the street. maybe those that are at the forefront of importation and exportation business might have a clue regarding how the current exchange rate has placed them at a better position but for the commoner that is at the receiving end, there is nothing to show for that the naira is even gaining.

Absolutely, price control on itsms or goods in this country is as occasion serves you.
Individuals determine their price not only based on how much they bought or market regulations but for how much they have targeted as profit.

On like other countries where there are authorities institutions that regulate market price for goods.

The foreign goods are not really cheaper. The matter is that, price of items over there ads are not mostly updated so as to attract buyers who will later find out the real price of what they felt is cheap.

Re: Major guidelines that can ensure a successful bitcoin investment
by
RealNoblee
on 27/07/2025, 20:53:18 UTC
I get the point you are driving at an all the point you raised here makes sense, but I feels like their are few more that should be added that is not here , and the one I can remember now is that if you are investing in Bitcoin, it's very important that you invest with an amount you can afford to lose, so that if things doesn't goes as planned, you wouldn't be contemplating suicide, this is why it's very important to invest only with your discretionary income, because your discretionary income is the money left after all your basic needs have been met.
So for you to be in control of yourself if your investment in Bitcoin doesn't play out as expected, you must invest only what you can let go, because in as much as the potential of Bitcoin is very bright and huge, nothing is guaranteed in the future, so invest with caution.

Despite having a discretionary income and investing with an amount one perhaps be willing to let go incase of any eventuality.

One must also understand that investing in bitcoin with a borrowed fund is a dead trap in disguise because it's an investment that requires servicing for better returns .

You can make all the researches but not when investing with a borrowed fund.
You can be patient but not when you are investing with a borrowed fund.

To effectively prevent scams, individuals and organizations should focus on a multi-layered approach that includes being vigilant, securing personal information, and utilizing technology for fraud detection and prevention. This is being careful of unknown requests, you must verify the legitimacy of what you going into.

One must not be too ambitious or greedy.
Be skeptical of unsolicited requests:
Don't respond to unexpected emails, calls, or messages asking for personal or financial information.

It is not every thing you see you click, Verify the source:
If you receive a message from a company you do business with, don't click on links within the message. Instead, go directly to their website

It is impossible not to be hacked if you don't Protect personal information:
Never share sensitive data like passwords, bank details, or social security numbers over the phone, email, or on unverified websites.

Also one nees to create unique, strong passwords for each online account and enable two-factor authentication whenever possible.

Re: Keep gas away from your kids
by
RealNoblee
on 23/07/2025, 08:54:14 UTC
Bringing this ugly experience of mine to this forum is another way of telling God thank you for taking away sorrow and bad news away from my household this year, it was about few days ago when I and my family was just having our afternoon rest (asleep) we never knew  that my junior son has already woken up and then went straight to the kitchen to open up the gas handle, after some time I didn't know what really woke me up but I will say it his God, the whole house was engolf with gas pollution  I ran straight to the kitchen and realized the gas bottle was opened by my little boy, 6kg gas well filled became empty I picked up my son call my wife and the rest of them and we all now went out of the house, I opened up every door and windows for free air flow.

Then I now ask my self what would have been of us if someone smoking was around or any neighbor around the neighborhood was using fire at that point in time, God did a great thing for me and my family.

Pls keep gas away from your kids, let it be totally out of there reach to avoid story that touch.

All thanks to God for safety.

But on the contrary, you can't keep your gas out of the reach of children only if you constantly lock the door to your kitchen which is not 100% guaranteed.

Some parents have this habit of sending their little kids without minding their ability and mental strength to the kitchen to set things of fire when they complain of being hungry.
And this kids engaged in this task most times without proper working knowledge on how the gas works and safety measures.

Therefore when they need food and you can be reached, they enter into operation which sometimes leads to what you and your family experienced.

To streamline these happenings, we must teach and show them how it works by bringing them close when we are using it.

It obvious and disheartening that the entire system in our country has been criminalized by some greedy and selfish individuals who has no atom of value for life.

Our judiciary has lost dignity of purpose with so much biased judgment.

The government is so much be clouded with unnecessary activities without focus.
Without focus on the state of the nation.
Without focus on her citizens wellbeing.
Without focus on insecurity that is destroying lives and properties and crippling the economy.

The Creator Manual said "(Ecclesiastics 10:15 The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.)"

All these in abilities of the government and the judiciary gives room for some few folks to feel they are more important than others in the country and they can do anything without the law holding them.

Re: Would investment serve as a business
by
RealNoblee
on 20/07/2025, 13:58:54 UTC
.

My questions are:
→How can you relate investment and business?
I think that you have already said it in your op post that investment and business are not the same, a business is an act of buying and selling that generate income for you in a weekly or monthly basis, while an investment is anything that you put your money in that appreciate in value overtime and gives you a return in the future.
That being said, you can rely on your business for survival, but you can't rely on your investment to survive because it takes years to give back a better ROI.
Quote
→Can an investor also be called a businessman?
No, an investor makes money even when he is as sleep, while a business man must put in a lot of work physical and mentally for it to yield profit.

Actually, business and investment are inter-related.

A business person puts in money to buy goods despite how small or big in exchange for  returns.
Though it requires his presence  efforts and time to make it profitable.
For as long as he remained in that business year after year, the value of those goods either appreciate for greater income  with eas
 or  the value depreciate.

So also is an investor who invested in an asset.
You there not sit with a folded arms to watch.
You must be present, spending time seeking for more knowledge and constantly checking up on the investment which might with time appreciate in value for greater profits or depreciate.

on 19/07/2025, 07:52:30 UTC
The reason the crypto space is no longer the way it should be is due to some factors

More law and order
As long as the crypto space matures, it attracts increased examination and a guaranteed avenue to making quick money is no longer visible.

Increased Scrutiny and Risk:
Im the days before now,,  crypto saw a lot of experimentation and projects that were not thoroughly vetted. Now, there's a greater awareness of the risks involved, including scams, fraud, and market volatility.
