Re: How to recognize a Pump's going on
by
RedNovember
on 17/09/2017, 19:17:20 UTC
Can you tell me please  how  to recognize  that  a  coin is probably being pumped, so that one can enter at  a  good  entry-point level?

I think that  can be achieved  observing the chart of  a low cap  coin ... if  it's  quite stable for months and  then  suddenly it breaks out this probably means  that the  coin is  being pumped and if you are fast ebough you can ride the rally to gain some profits..

I say  a coin with a low market cap because  they  are esiear  to pump, because it's  enough a  small ammount of  money to pump coins  with a small market cap

Another sign I found is to ask myself did anything change to cause this random rise in price and volume. If not, it's probably a pump.

Another thing is popular YouTube channels will tell people about a coin and randomly people will buy it to pump it.

Twitter followers and popular YouTube's can cause the value of a coin to randomly come up

Usually it's temporary rise

Plus it's promoted by Floyd Mayweather so it's bound to suck . STAY AWAY FROM CELEBRITY ENDORSED ICO's ( especially ones that have no contact with tech like Floyd Mayweather and Paris$
bsolutely agree, I remember Floyd advertised Stox. The first time was a pump, but where is the stox now? in the second hundred

Celebrity endorsement comes with a steep risk to the consumer - celebrities are only interested in their own gains they don't care about the consumer

Re: What price would make you dump you bitcoins?
by
RedNovember
on 17/09/2017, 17:23:22 UTC
I think it wouldn't be wise to sell any bitcoins at least until the next block reward halving in 2020. After that the price can skyrocket again and I think at that point we could be talking $100k per BTC easily.
So just HODL and don't panic during short-term dips like the one we're experiencing now Smiley

Agreed.
Bitcoin is like ETF for cryptocurrency.
And cryptocurrency dont have any real consumer applications yet.So its basically at the beginning of its grows.
I think we will see 2 major jumps.
1) Government regulation. When they come around and provide legal framework for taxes and licenses. This will signal financial sector to start investing into cryptocurrency.
2) Creation of real applications for consumers. Now its just weird numbers for very small group of people. When Verizon and AT&T start to ship phones with preinstalled wallets, thats will be cash out point.

That is probably a good 5 to 10 years out at least

I believe crypto currency Wil go mainstream in about 2 or 3 years and they will grow exponentially. It would be smart to take money out in small amounts in case a crash come like .com boom

I would take out like 20% every time it hits an all time high

Re: red pulse ICO worth it?

What are the thoughts on this first ICO on NEO platform? Thinking about investing 200 NEO in it,  the team looks pretty good. 30% bonus on day 1 of crowd sale. If you are 1 of the 100 people selected for pre sale you get 40% bonus. 1 neo = 1,000 rpx coins.

What dose everyone think of this ICO. This would be my first ICO investment

First ICO on NEO. Good project, I will be investing.

I don't understand how it it's banned in China how it can be a good buy? What's the point if Neo is suppose to dominate the Chinese market but it's first ICO is banned then doesn't it lose it's appeal

Re: POSW Comeback?
by
RedNovember
on 17/09/2017, 17:17:23 UTC
There have been rumours about the infamous POSW making a comeback. Earlier in April, we saw it's price increase over 1000% in a short amount of time. Many inexperienced investors got greedy and ended up holding bags of it which they purchased for up to 20k sats. The price right now has been holding steady at around 2k sats for over a week and throughout the recent drama with China and JPM. This can only mean people are accumulating in anticipation for something big.

I did a little bit of digging and asked around my network of investors. I found out that POSW had released an Info site not too long ago. They are promising a new more enhanced experience than the clustered interface we saw last time. They have also recruited new staff members. What investors have been waiting for in a new Announcement thread which is to be made this weekend.

All in all the service is very useful and important for those who don't understand staking. But my question is

Would you use POSWallet's service again?

Would you invest in POSW short-term, long-term or invest at all?

The info site can be found at posw . io
it is really a risky trade i invested 0.45 BTC in POSW but lost 100% i sold at half of the price and value keep dumping, it is really very very shocking trade i have ever made so lets see if POSW will pump up this time might be i will make some profit here

Thanks
Regards

Lots of bag holders to go around. - still I believe the average person who does not know about staking, a good well developed site will be huge

If you read the bitcoin ico you would see it's amazing - then compare it to other ico whitepapers and you can see the clear difference.

On Twitter I read, that DigitalNote (XDN) will be the next coin which will be pumped.
Its 60 now, people say will be pumped to 125

Where on twitter did you read this?

Don't believe it, there is a saying that if it's on Twitter on YouTube it's already too late for these type of sitauations

Re: ICO forbidden in China? Will same thing eventually happen in all countries?
by
RedNovember
on 05/09/2017, 21:56:56 UTC
Recently the government of China has forbidden all ICOs and initiated a major check of all projects. Moreover, all ICOs now have to return the funds to investors.
Do you think same thing might happen in other countries as well, or everything will stop on China?

No way, there are many countries like Japan and Malta doing everything in their power to accept bitcoin and then I think subsequently other alt coins as well

China just affects us more right now because it's such a large market but I really believe the scales will tip in the favour of more countries getting on board with crypto than those banning it

The fact eos and gno have such high market caps to me is disgusting. I hated both of their icos and doubt they will succeed long term

The other coins seem solid

I think if you do a bad start you should be wary of the future

Re: can one trace a stollen btc?
by

on 05/09/2017, 21:51:29 UTC
Yes to a certain extent you can trace stolen bitcoin, there are forensic tools available that will allow you to trace the money flow. People think bitcoin is anonymous but it's really not. Especially for the guy who used the dark web and thought they were immune it showed they can get caught.

Thats why alt coins like xvg or pivx in my opinion are going to be important, privacy is gonna be huge in future.

Re: is bitcoin bulletproof?
by

on 05/09/2017, 21:48:39 UTC
Bitcoin survives so many challenges yet the value still growing eventually.

Started thinking bitcoin is bulletproof after witnessing so many challenges that may easily kill it yet still thrives.

No doubt, bitcoin is the invention of the century. I think bitcoin will shine more in the future because no country that can stop now.

What is your thoughts on this? Share with us what you think, please?

Honestly it's too early to say it's the invention of the century. Artificial intelligence, nano bots, things of that nature will have huge impacts on society as well.

This could definitely become one of the most innovative technologies to emerge, but until it's widespread and widely adopted it's hard to say what impact it all have long term

Re: The END of ICO's?
by

on 05/09/2017, 16:59:24 UTC
The whole premise of the blockchain revolution with bitcoin was that country states would have less say in controlling the market

Bitcoin maximalists would say this doesn't change anything

Personally, I think this will be a temporary thing, China can't stop it completely, they'd still want to phase it in

Hard to stop a technological revolution

Re: PUMPED COINS - CAN SOMBODY EXPLAIN?

Hello

Almost every day i see some pumped coins and i am sicking tired of not making any money on this. Its looks so easy to make big profits in just 24h. For example unbreakablecoin lately. The problem is that i am always too late to put some money into the pump, and when is already high i am affraid to loose my money. Last time i do that on Syndicate and lost some money on 17-18.07 . Ofcourse i was too late for this pump.

Who is doing that?

And next question is it possible to predict some way which coin will be pumped next?

I am also here for long term investments in altcoins and this is my main purpose to be here.

I am just wondering if you guys play on this ridiculous pumps and make money on shitty coins?

Or just forget about that and invest long term only? Please tell me! Is that worth my time sitting all day on my laptop?

Regards

Pumped coins lead to BAGHOLDERS - people who buy at all time high and get stuck holding the coins that are not worth what you bought it at

I know it's tough, but honestly you need to buy a good coin with good technology and hold it. If you feel bad missing profits just think now how bad you feel when you buy a pumped coin and its value plummets when a whale exists and drops price in the process

That is a worse feeling for sure

I have 250 ETH, Hold or SELL?

How do you think about the price of ETH end of this year.

I lost just small amount (5 ETH) because i bought the highest price.

I don`t know I hold or SELL.

Give me your opinion.

Really hard to time the market Anyone who tells you when to buy or sell is just guessing as well

Your best bet is to sell when it's at ATH and everyone thinks Eth will go to the moon

Re: Is Humaniq(HMQ) is dead??
by

on 05/09/2017, 02:02:15 UTC
I'm curious if this multi million fund coin will rise up again. HMQ is now currently worth 0.12$ each and the trading volume decrease hard. I want to know what are your thoughts on this coin?  Roll Eyes
Humaniq just a crap coin with non-sense innovation by the greedy developers to asked millions dollars from the investors.
Honestly, i strongly dislike about its project. But the more people are trying to give fake hype for the project. This coin will have ended with pump and dump.
There is no valuable thing on this project rather than a crap thing.

I was taking all of my consideration from this one. This will not worth to be your investment place.

No coin will be dead in this current bull market. All you need to do is to be patient and HMQ will rise again.
Nobody cares whether the coin is crap or useful unless you plan to hold for several years. If you can make profit, it really doesn't matter.
The volume for HMQ is simply too little for anybody to cash out. I am sure big whales will pump the price to a ridiculous height before they cash out.

This has been my experience to date as well probably the best advice for you. I had a few coins I thought were dead coins like xvg but now they r doing good

Re: Job Vs Bitcoin
by
RedNovember
on 05/09/2017, 01:58:14 UTC
I think if you can manage your time well, why not do both. You can have passive income in your work while having active income in bitcoin as well. It is better to diversify your attention also to avoid being stressed out focusing on just one side. Just enjoy what you do and make the best out of it.
Good idea to just manage both because your job will become the back up for getting money if something went wrong in cryptocurrencies for example is the scenario right now. All of the altcoins goes down and that is because of the banning of ICO in China and if you don't have a job then you are in a deep lose in bitcoin.

I think the best quote is that the best investment you can make in life is to invest in yourself. Focus on improving your skill and abilities so that even if you lose money you can earn it back. So many millionaires and billionaires suffered huge setbacks but they knew how to build themselves back up

Supposed you become millionaire through bitcoin, let's say value goes way down, what do you have to show for yourself? So you still have a job to support yourself?

I think it's because they are really risk averse in the sense that this technology is really uncertain right now and nothing can be proved. Which is dumb because that's what their job is, to invest in unproven technology in the off chance it pays off

I really don't know why they don't invest heavily in this field

I think a good example of blockchain applied to healthcare is Patientory. They are trying to solve the healthcare weaknesses and problems using blockchain, and they are doing it very well.

Please, look on the following news: https://lfb.org/could-cryptocurrencies-save-healthcare/

Yep I was going to say the same thing I never got pationtory myself but the idea seems interesting - I think I'll probably get some when I see some good development coming forth

Re: XRP is the best crypto safe haven?
by
RedNovember
on 03/09/2017, 18:01:44 UTC
In my latest blog I talk about the precarious state of the economy and what investors might turn to for safe-haven assets in a stock sell-off:  https://xrphodor.wordpress.com/2017/09/03/is-xrp-destined-to-be-a-safe-haven-asset/

I believe that investors might strongly consider turning to XRP as the next "gold standard" in crypto safe havens.

Let me know what you think.

Twitter: https://twitter.com/Hodor7777/status/904375295578447872

I think Ripple is gonna be huge in the future with all the banks coming on board and them having a legitimate business with hundreds of employees.

At the same time, I bought xrp when it was 20k satoshi. It's dropped to 4k satoshi

Is that a safe investment? No it's not. But I believe in the tech and the work being done. It will recover, price is not the sole determinant of success. Once it goes mainstream I'll be happy I got it for 20k satoshi

Re: Do you think Ethereum could break $1000 as well?
by
RedNovember
on 03/09/2017, 17:54:00 UTC
Ethereum will definitely reach $1000 some day but when? The question is this. Maybe next year, maybe 2 months later, we don't know. But I'm pretty sure that we'll see $1000 in very short time. Ethereum is too good to stay in 3-digit numbers.

I was watching tv and big news channels like Bloomberg are even talking about ethereum and some analysts are saying it will hit 1000 maybe by end of 2018. If it surpasses the market cap of bitcoin the original people who own ethereum must be billionaires

Does anyone think vitalik will be a billionaire? I do
