Well, because this is current as of this week, Smodcast, the insanely poplular podcast of Kevin Smith and Scott Moshier released their seven year anniversary episode, and one of the topical discussion was the fabled "money pit". Only a brief discussion, but still and interesting topic. The sheer amount of companies and people who have gone after this thing is astounding!

Did someone listen to this weeks smodcast?

Here is my review so far (good and needs imporovment)

I leased a 24hr 1.6mhs scrypt rig from Hostkey dirrectly (Hostkey20).'

First I deposited coins into their wallet to fund my lease (took 2 confirms)
Ordered my machine and added my worker info.
Hashes start coming in within 12min of deposit.


Nice work!

Now for the part where imporovement is needed.

The machine is currently reading 1300 khs and submitting share on average closer to 1.1mhs. This would be an underperformance of 25% or so. I know variance could cause this, but I have mutliple workers on the same pool that are not having this issue. Also, the stats on the LeaseRig site show it to be running around 1.59mhs. Now that dosent mean anything bad here. Im sure that the op will take a look into the issue and correct it, but I am just posting the facts here for research.

At the end of the day, this is a great service and despite the small issues, I am sure this will be something great. Good job.

Edit: Moments after I submited and two hours into the contract, speed is climbing. I would say if you have this issue, give it time.

Well we all knew he was around. After he burned the name SynOps to the ground, he tried to make a comeback as BitFi. To bad Bitmit didnt take him down before he tried scam a few of us there.

This may just be me here. But what if he hasnt let the network sync up? I havent used Electrum that much before, but I do remember its just like qt in that it has to pull the blockchain first. Is it possible you just havent synced yet?

Love to see some pics of that. Sounds impressive. How did you overcome the power issues of getting it from the street to the site? Thats a huge amount of amperage being pulled down through your box.

P.S. If my math and my own payouts from the pool are correct. from Decmeber to july, the most you could get from a 24hr period per 400mhs gpu was 0.012 and that became less than 0.01 around march. Thats bassed on a single worker and payout records for that work during that time.


Edit: So at 0.012btc a day per gpu, and no difficulty change, you need to be running 34+ gpus non stop until the pool closed from december for 85btc.

I would love to see your math on this. What type of hardware did you use btw? Im curious so I can have something to compare my own numbers too.
