Re: College Football, anybody?

Thanks for the link.

Betting the lines is fun and all, but one of the best parts of college football is talking trash and making personal bets to back up that talk. That's more what I was looking for...

College Football, anybody?

Any college football fans out there interested in betting on any games?

I set up one NCAA related bet:

But would love to bet on other games, if there's enough interest.

Ooops that should've been 24btc... (and 2 btc for the power supply, but because I want to get rid of it, I'll leave make it 1btc with the 5970, so 25btc total for both)

Want to sell my 5970 - 26btc or $300, shipped

Also for an extra 1.5btc, I'll throw in a perfectly working 650W power supply

I can email a pic of the card with my screen name, if necessary.

Re: "What does Ron Paul have against Gary Johnson?"

My opinion is that Ron Paul is trying to change the Republican party and use it as a vessel for his libertarian ideals. As far as strategy goes, it would be a bad call to alienate many in the party he is trying to change by endorsing a candidate from another party.

Ron Paul and Gary Johnson are very similar ideologically - I wouldn't be surprised if Paul will vote for Johnson in the actual election (just not make it public).

Haha well thanks for rubbing it in...

The only difference with my system though seems to be the Catalyst driver version. I'll try rolling that back and see what happens.

I don't think it's the configuration settings - pretty much tried every reasonable combination there. I also tried downgrading the SDK to 2.4 from 2.6 (albeit not all the way to 2.1), with no luck.

The problem is that the GPU cores only see 50% load. It's like the miner (or maybe the driver) distributes the load for one core across both instead of running each under full load.

This is my first time running the 5970 so it could be I'm missing something basic, but my problem seems to match exactly that of the OP.

[WTS] X-Power Pro 650W PSU

Just upgraded PSU from 650w to 1000w. Never had any problems with this unit. Was going to make a small mining rig, but no time.

6 BTC local pickup (Los Angeles area)
8 BTC shipping in US

I have a pic of it working, which I can email on request. This would be my first transaction on the forum, so escrow from a respected forum member would probably be needed. Thank you.

And as far as escrow goes, using something like:

bitcoin-escrow.i2p.to/
btcrow.com/

or having a trusted forum member hold escrow?

What you say is true. It just means the other person needs to trust me, which I don't necessarily see happening as I have no references, etc to prove that trust.

Pretty new to the forum and a little paranoid/suspicious about how the marketplace section works. (I eventually will be trying to sell an unused 650w PSU)

What's the best way to ensure a transaction occurs honestly? Using an escrow service? Or just being very selective with who you're working with (ie checking references, etc)

Unless you're willing to backpack around with a large battery, I don't think you'll be able to mine at night. That said, check out http://www.raspberrypi.org/ for a sweet little, low-powered pc that you could use to run the FPGA.

Sounds good. 360 MH/s is more in line with what I've been seeing elsewhere on the board. I'll just have to fiddle with the clocks as soon as I can upgrade to ubuntu 12.04 and get the new catalyst installed. Thank you.
