In addition, I don't mean to cause offense, but if you can't afford to run an open bounty, then don't.
Paying $2 for hours of labor is just insulting, anyway you look at it.
Perhaps your dev thinks it will give the coin some cheap publicity, without realizing what a poor reflection it is on the coin and the community as a whole.

I wasn't going to criticize your video out of respect, but you are asking for it now. Your video was junk and that is why you received a low bounty, not because I don't want to pay for quality. If you were to deliver a video like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=000al7ru3ms - you would be swimming in Glowshares. Don't quit your day job.
Oh come of it. You don't get to talk about respect after paying someone $2 for a video.
That shows a fundamental lack of respect for people, a very telling character attribute.
And for the record, I responded because your minions taunted me, while you watched silently. Understand?

Prey tell, what do you know about video quality, considering your comment on the first video submitted in this thread? lol
The fact you think your $20+ can get you that Dogecoin video shows you don't have a clue about the skill, time and effort needed to created a proper video.
Further, at this stage of GSX development, that type of video wouldn't have achieved much - as I've explained in my previous comment.

In summation, you get what you pay for. And if you don't pay, you won't get anything - regardless of how much you think you know.
Don't quit your day job as well. This coin ain't going anywhere with that kind of disrespectful attitude.

I just returned back your 'some coins' and disabled the video.

Accepting your coins would mean accepting your insult that the video was worth only $2.
I guess you guys are just fans of videos made from templates.

Aww, I'm sorry yer giving up, I dunno how much you expected to be tipped but the bounty amount depended on the overall quality of the video. I agree 25GSX should be good enough for this one since max bounty is 300.

With a budget of a few hundred bucks and minimal direction I doubt any professional editors are going to jump at this opportunity but we'll see. Cheesy
Give up? Not at all. Just not interested to be taken advantage of.
Ask yourself whether you can get any type of video for $2 anywhere online.
And I'm not even talking about a properly rendered HD video with call-to-actions, keywords, tags and an original About, like mine.
Which is why my video ranked on top of any Glowshares search on Google for a day until it was taken down.
When we talk about promo videos, the things that comes to mind to most experienced videographers are CTAs, virality potential and SEO.
Simple and basic concepts that many just don't seem to grasp.
Using video templates and copy pasting texts from websites do not constitute the definition of a good video.

He was hoping for the 300 coins HAHA, its ok his actions show he was not really in it for the glowshares community but just a quick dump of the coins he made for BTC, Good Riddens, go play with some other shitcoin, coins like glowshares need supporters, not dump and run pansies HAHAHA.

If you check my wallet I still have all the coins I ever received (which isnt many) however I didnt do things to dump and run for profit. I want to see the coins I invest in ( no matter if with time or money) Last.

GO GLOWSHARES.

I actually didn't plan on revisiting this thread, but your moronic post deserves a response.
Before posting next time, ask yourself these questions.
(i) Am I contributing anything to the discussion?
(ii) When I use childish insults, how does that reflect on my level of maturity?
(iii) Does posting my address while praising my own loyalty to a coin seem farcical?
(iv) Will people think I am stupid because I can't even spell or express myself properly?

Re: [ANN] [DGMS] DigiGems |No Premine|scrypt|No IPO
by
Remington_Steele
on 19/01/2015, 01:10:20 UTC
Hi, I have been thinking about what would be the next steps of Digigems and here are some of my thoughts:

*We need to create a management of Digigems.
This needs to be a fair and transparent management, so I am thinking that ANYBODY can join and able to give a hand or express his / her toughts.
But it needs to be contained somehow for keeping it healthy for making decisions and execute them.
Like 25 people with equivalent vote. And for others there will be development,  management and advertisement topics in forum (what I can set up).

*We need to think that how will the voting and other management tasks work… gdrive or any other service?

*MAIN GOAL - We need to associate Digigems with a GAME / GAMES, like mmrpg or other games that use coins / gems for in app purchases or dealing game inventory on some site… like auction site. Presumably we need to create a application layer between Digigems and apps or modify wallets to support that.

We need to collect donations… bounty needs to be set. The bigger the better. We need that for our goals.

Any other toughts / goals?

Edit: We got a free Promo offer, where we give some dgms for followers and retweets, it starts 20. jan.

Okay Jarno.
I'll send 500DGMS over to start the ball rolling.

Guys, I think this is the best place to post this message. I have decided to stop using this forum at least for a few months becuase I am a student and being active on this forum really eats up a lot of time. So, to stop distracting myself and to concentrate on my studies, I am stopping using my account for few months. I will be available on my email (microman497@gmail.com) to some extent. Just hope, when I return, this forum would have been a great place like it has never been before.

Love,

grtthegreat.

Thanks for letting us know. Imagine if one of the 300,000 accounts here decided to PM you during your absence. At least with this thread, everyone will know. I will also save your email address in a txt file on my desktop for emergencies (I'm sure email scrapers trawling this board will also keep a copy of it for emergency).

Like I said above he is clearly trying to silence the opinions that he does not agree with which is not something that the trust system was designed to do.
Yet when Vod did the same to iCEBREAKER, you defended Vod. Bit hypocritical, isn't it?

Anyway, it's interesting to see BadBear adding you, an account seller, and Michaeladair, a ponzi supporter/operator, into his trust list. More interesting than watching you and Michael flinging handbags at one another.

Not gonna lie, I make enough I could support two people easily, I could buy us vacations and nice things so f*** it if she turns out to be an idiot and I say this nicely, I'd marry that girl above in a heartbeat. I make $200k yearly n I'm 20 so yeah. If you ain't as pretty as her tho then 50/50 personality n looks I want Smiley
So not only are you 6'3" and amazing in bed, but you also make $200k a year.
Not bad for a 20-year-old, even if your girlfriend cheated on you and dumped you.
Sounds legit.

Consider hiring some extra hands legs. It might gift the booth some color, and a lift.  Cool
Handing out some monogrammed balloons or pen might also draw in the crowd. Just saying.  Wink

no news from  dev?  Huh

i guess not. I'm mining, but thinking of stopping. This doesn't look good when dev just goes cold turkey!!  Undecided
I've stopped mining, have some dgms and not think to sell, and hope dgms in polo Smiley

My miners are not fast enough... only 2.5mh/s.  Sad

With the difficulty as low as it is, even 2.5 mh/s can be quite effective.
Correct. Spend some time on it an accumulate some Gems, just in case it is suddenly listed on a major exchange.
And even then, hold on a while longer, just in case it is suddenly pumped.  Wink

I also noticed that the Storj whitepaper is co-written by Ethereum's Vitalik Buterin. Personal contribution or is Ethereum involved with the project?

Vitalik was a technical contributor to the paper. He contributed on a personal level and not officially on behalf of Ethereum. That being said, when Ethereum goes live we'll certainly be interested in integrating Ethereum contracts.

I think since it is for http://cryptobettingindex.com/dice-invest/ that it should not be animated to keep with the current style as no other banner is animated.

If JD does then all the other sites will ask for animated banners and the page will be a mess, It should be kept clean with stationary banners for all.

Just to cover all the bases, a static banner as well.

And for good measure, another animated one.

Is there any kind of documentation?

http://metadisk.org/metadisk.pdf

http://storj.io/storj.pdf

https://github.com/Storj/whitepapers

The DriveShare whitepaper is listed as 'coming soon' on the storj.io website...-thumbsup-

Noob question. In the Metadisk whitepaper, it is stated that copies of data will be stored in three separate locations in line with current industry redundancy standards. In the Storj whitepaper, it is stated data will be broken down into byte multiples such as 8 MB or 32 MB. It is also stated that a "farmer must be able to prove cryptographically that it has the shard, and has not modi fied it in any way." What are the chances of a malicious actor 'damaging' all three shards and destroying the data?

I also noticed that the Storj whitepaper is co-written by Ethereum's Vitalik Buterin. Personal contribution or is Ethereum involved with the project?

The malicious actor would need to given all three redundant copies simultaneously.  This is only likely if there is only 1 drive share farmer
Understood. But what is the probability of said actor obtaining all three shards within his own network of farmers? Hypothetically, what if he has 50 unique farmers through 50 NAS+ Drive Share with distinctive IPs? Expanding on this, are the shards distributed geographically? What if those IPs were in the same geographic range?

Re: Remove VOD from the Default Trust List - clear case of neg for calling out abuse
by
Remington_Steele
on 09/01/2015, 09:35:08 UTC
VOD clearly didn't remove those ratings because he "realized the error of his ways" or something, he did it because the community finally stepped up and called him on his bullshit, even if the staff made sure they were looking the other way. He has had a clear pattern of excessive behavior just like this over and over and over. This demonstrates to me VOD is only sorry when it effects VOD, therefore he is a liability to this community in his position of default trust. If that doesn't concern the staff, Badbear, Canaryinthemine, and Tomatocage, well I guess that is just what the community will have to suffer from because they are unwilling to make hard choices and do what is right for everyone, not just their buddies.
This is arguing against your own point. If this were to be true then when the community as a whole (not the people who can scream the loudest, or who can open the most threads) argue that a trust rating is invalid then such rating should be removed by the person who left it. If they do not then they should not be trusted to be on default trust.

The community did the same to you, and you refused to remove the negative rating. As a result you were removed from the default trust list.
He was never in the default trust list. You don't seem to understand what is going on.

I'm glad we were able to contain it to just one thread tonight.
You revoked all three negative ratings from three users after pressure from other forum members. You accused one of being hacked, another for providing false postal code and the third for lying about you. Turns out you were wrong on all three counts. Others before you have faced repercussions for just one 'inappropriate' rating. Do you think you will also be punished?

Can someone organize a bet on this? I'm willing to bet 100 satoshis (I very poor miner) that Vod will not face any censure at all. Any takers?
