First of all, I don't think Coinbase own by US government. Its a company from Estonia. The tax will only be calculated when you want to transfer your fiat money to the bank from your country.
I greet all the members! As a new member I want you to help me and advise me in which coιν it would be the best choice to invest! Thank you all!
Same here. I am new to crypto too. I am doing lots of research. reading articles. watching lots of youtube videos before I go and invest money in ICO. I suggest you do the same if you are a complete beginner.
Welcome to both of you manospan and Ringtoo! Cryptocurrency is a new world that's why we really need to research and being up to date to what is happening currently in the cryptoworld. Good for you Ringtoo because you are already doing a lot of research and I can say that in this forum alone, you can find so many information that sometimes you don't need to go anywhere else because this forum is already jam packed will all the information and the members in here have something to contribute. All you just need is to ask if you can't find the information anywhere else.
As for manospan, you should follow what Ringtoo is doing because more often than not when you ask the people what coin should you invest in, they would suggest a coin that they already bought so that price would go up. Invest only what you can afford to lose because cryptocurrency is highly speculative. For a start, bitcoin would be the best choice.
very valuable advice from a Sr member. I am on less than a week and I am already noticed most of the people asking me to buy new coins. now I know the reason behind this. thanks for being honest.

Re: Coinbase to Gdax Btc transfer lost in cyberspace?
Apporoximately 6 hours ago I transferred approx $90 worth of bitcoin from my coinbase wallet to my Gdax account using the Gdax transfer option. The status of the transfer shows up on both Gdax and Coinbase as complete but still no btc balance in my gdax account.
Something is obviously wrong as the transfer from Coinbase wallet to Gdax is supposed to be instataneous. Of course no way to speak to a real person at coinbase or gdax for assistance.
There are fees at every step, but the main fees is the deposit fee if you use your credit card, depending on your bank it should be something between 2 to 5% with a minimum I think, all the informations are on the coinbase website
I am aware of the coinbase's credit card deposit fee which is 3.99 %. But I am wondering about the creditcard fee. If I use my credit card to buy stuff, the credit card company doesn't charge anything, but if I want to withdraw money from credit card, then it charges a high-interest fee. So my question is if I use my credit card to deposit money in caoinbase do I have to pay the credit card withdraw money fee?
many thanks
Depends on your credit card company ToS.
I have one credit card that refuses purchases at Coinbase.com ,while my two other cards work completely fine. However I'm sure most credit card companies will consider this type of purchase as "standard digital goods" purchase, hence no money withdrawal fee.
oh, that what I want to hear. ...because I don't mind coinbase charges 4% because I probably will make that money there. but if credit card company also charge it probably not worth it.

How can anyone possibly answer this question for you when we have no idea what card or bank you're using? Every bank will be different with many different accounts and fees as well so go ask them not us if you're so concerned about bank fees and stop being so godamn lazy .

I think it depends on your investment strategy. it will probably not work for day trading right away. But again to say, "Bitcoin is higly unpredictable" by the looks of it.
