Re: LIVECOIN HACKED

Is this even legit?

They are writing:
Quote
Our clients have to contact us via email verification@livecoin.news to get payments after passing verification procedure

Did anybody try to write to the provided email address? In which case: What information are they requesting?

Can this be itself a scam to try to collect private information?

Please comment if you have some news.
Or what can we do to escalate this?
I don't have much money locked in, but I read here that many people got a big deal of fiat locked.
There is 98% chance that you won't get your money back, with all the scam accusations all over the forum. Still wonder how you used them without doing some background checks.
- Warning! CryptoCapital doesn't pay!
- Warning Cryptocapital SCAMMERS!
- Crypto Capital Do Not Pay
- Cryptocapital Scam Alert
- Scam Alert!!! Crypto Capital (Panama) - Cex.io partner
- CryptoCapital Withdrawal Problems
And so many more
He opened a scam accusation sometime back: Warning! CryptoCapital doesn't pay!

You are right, but not few times scam cries are fake or from incompetent people, so it is very difficult to judge... But yes, given the number of complaints, the probability that it was true was quite high.
However, what I firstly blame myself about is not to have checked before with CexIo their availability to receive money from Cryptocapital. Knowing that CexIo was not accepting money from Cryptocapital would have been enough for me not to send my money to CC in the first place.

Stablecoin based on average of major currencies
by
Rodrick12
on 10/12/2019, 10:26:21 UTC
Probably the idea has been already put forward in the past, or maybe the concept has even been already implemented, but I could not find (but I did not search extensively...) any reference on the web...

All stablecoins that I know about are stable when compared to specific fiat currencies or assets. For example, DAI and USDT are stable compared to the Dollar.

Some of them are backed, like USDT, other ones are algorithmically stabilized, like DAI.

Let's consider the second ones for this idea.

In the view of a global economy, would it make sense to create a stablecoin, which is algorithmically stabilized on a price which is a weighted average of all the major currencies?

The idea came to my mind when thinking that, as the USD is not my local currency, holding USD based stable coins could represent an issue when the USD should fall in value compared to my local currency.
Having a stablecoin stabilized towards an average of the major currencies would reduce this issue.
And, in general, would make my investment resistant against possible unbalances between major economies.

I'm not economist, so maybe the is a flaw in the reasoning... But I would be interested in hearing your opinions!

BTW, a couple of days ago I tried to connect to they site and the browser warned me that the site is unsafe. Did you experienced the same issue?

Blah, didn't get done tonight... shooting for tomorrow right before the 16:00 UTC time Poloniex kill time.

Miss our projected time... hoping to have our exchange "live" live in less than 5 hours.

I will update soon.

(Also, Poloniex withdraws are working great for me atm too.  Maybe Polo listened to dooglus single line of code fix finally after 10 months... lol. smh.

I'm sure they actually fixed their CLAM wallet just to delist it in a relatively smooth fashion. Roll Eyes

Right! But, isn't this paradoxical? If they had fixed the wallet before, CLAM would have had a better chance to trade with higher volume, thus reducing the odds of delisting. Why waiting? I have some obvious ideas in mind, but I'm curious to hear your opinion.

I just withdrew my last Clams from Poloniex. I was surprised how the withdrawal process was flawless this time (got my Clams to destination address in matter of minutes), compared to the daunting difficulties in the past weeks/months. It may just be a coincidence, but I'm wondering: How come all that wallet issues disappeared at once??
Are you also experiencing flawless withdrawals now?

Any news on this guys? This silence either means you got them and forget to write a note here, or that the situation is unchanged. I hope is the former.

@investbitcoin, @eryaran, @rolypoly, have you finally find a way to get your money out of Cryptocapital?

To me, support still replies, but in odd ways, suggesting to do things which don't work, like sending the money back from the exchange they were coming from.

The wallet on Bittrex seems to work, but the question is: Would sending Neos from Bittrex to a Donito wallet work?

Yes it will. Bittrex have already updated their wallet to Donu even tough it's still shown as Neos. It's been discussed a few times on Telegram. Please feel free to join TG or Discord channel Smiley

OK thanks. Done, I can confirm it works.

Another question: When will staking be available?

Hello,

Can I send my Neos from Bittrex to Donito desktop wallet?

At this point you would need to contact Bittrex support for that. Let us know if we can help at all.

Thanks, that's informative. So at the root it might be an issue with the CLAM network, or, as one could infer from Poloniex reported answer on this Reddit post (https://www.reddit.com/r/poloniex/comments/ax03k0/clam_withdrawal/), a lack of miners??

Have them copy/paste the raw hex transaction into the form here:

https://just-dice.com/pushtx

Then it will confirm very quickly.

Thanks for the advice! I'm not expert, but if we have the txid, couldn't we do that ourselves? I guess we would just need to convert the txid into hex (I'm not sure how/if it is possible, though...), right?

I'm also starting to get no replies from the support. And my CLAMs are still in the limbo. I don't think any help can come if not from Poloniex itself, but they seem not to care much.

But maybe the experts here could provide some speculation on how it can happen that Poloniex got and provided us with a txid, but the transaction doesn't even appear on the explorer: That's a complete mystery to me!

I speculated earlier in this thread that the CLAM client's wallet could be corrupt in some way, so the client was occasionally generating transactions that appear to be good from Poloniex's side, but in reality are double spending. Such transactions will be immediately rejected by the network, and will never confirm.

After experiencing my own stuck withdrawal, I'm less inclined to think it's that, because the txid they provided at withdrawal time is the exact same transaction that made it to the network (eventually).

I wonder if it could be related to the problems that CLAM has with syncing from the network.

Frontend support is polite but effectively useless for more complicated issues. There doesn't seem to be any interest in discussing the problem, let alone fixing it. I reported a minor issue with the API and the reply basically just reiterated the problem without committing to a fix.

Now they refunded the failed withdrawal, I proceeded with another one, and also this one shows as "COMPLETE" with txid, but the txid is not present on the explorer.
I have had several mishaps with CLAMs on Poloniex in the past, but this time is starting to get ridiculous... And yes, replies from the customer care team are void of useful information.

I've also experienced it like you, and I don't understand what really happened, I sent a ticket to their team but there was no reply at all maybe someone can help me here

What is the maximum time you waited for a CLAM withdrawal from Poloniex, from issuing to completion?
I lately got a withdrawal showing "COMPLETE", with even a txid, but coins didn't arrive yet and the txid is not to be found on the explorer.
It is already a couple of weeks this happened and Polo team said they will look into the issue, but nothing changed since then.

Similar experience here. Just a couple of form replies and then it was fixed, without any explanation, or addressing my specific "this keeps happening" concerns.

How long did it take from start to end?

Same situation here as well.

My original plan was to send fiat from Cryptocapital to CexIo, but the latter told me they presently don't receive money from Cryptocapital and didn't know when the situation will be changing.

Then I issued a wire transfer to my bank and the money are in pending status since a couple of months now. Got in contact with customer care, and got the same answer regarding problems with intermediary banks.

I had similar situations with CexIo in the past, but they always got solved at the end, even if some stayed unsolved for several weeks. I hope that this will be the case with Cryptocapital as well, and that it is only a matter of patience.

In any case, let's keep each other informed about any progress of our cases through this thread.

Just wondering is this normal? because its more then 6 confirm and its been 6 hours

Similar situation here. Stuck at 2 of 3 confirmations - but the transaction has in fact tens of confirmations on the blockchain...

To CEX.Io: What is the reason for this? The transaction HAS BEEN confirmed plenty of times, why it is not on our accounts already?

To CexIo credit: BTCs have been finally credited. To CexIo debit: holding my BTCs has caused potential loss of revenues.

We will try to find out what is the reason and ensure that you receive your BTC.

Still pending after so many days, I used to have my BTC sold already, price are lower now...

https://imgur.com/UA6yN61

It is very annoying the situation that you are going through and the fact that they take a long time to respond and solve your case becomes even more worrying, you already have losses because of this problem and the question is if they will compensate you

still stuck in CEX.IO

You have to be calm and if a few days your problem is not solved, so you must create a thread in this section:  Scam Accusations

I know, but last time when I withdrawal USD from CEX.IO it took about 30~40 days to completer, so maybe they are just slow as hell, I would wait  a bit more

I think this is a different issue: with the fiat I can imagine problems with the banks, but in this case, the blockchain clearly says that the transaction has got multiple confirmations. Either they are just holding back our BTC for whatever reason, or there is an issue with their software. In both cases, they are responsible for that, thus *they* make us lose money.

Kraken Relentless Order Placer
by
Rodrick12
on 26/11/2017, 14:47:18 UTC
Hi! I made a small piece of software to help dealing with recent (well, not so recent...) problems with order placing/canceling on Kraken exchange.

Find it here:
http://satoshibox.com/kuicmk5ehfa3ho8mft3yj54c

Before buying:

1) Look at this video with a simple demonstration to see if you may really be interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPo4OWcXox8

2) Test this mock-up version to see if it runs on your PC: https://files.fm/u/95shjjb2 (this moch-up version is functional in all the accessory functions, like order listing, showing asset ask/bid prices, and so on..., but it doesn't allow placing/canceling orders)

Kraken Relentless Order Placer
- Detailed Description

Haven't you noticed that lately cryptoexchange Kraken - like few others - is showing issues with order placing/canceling? Namely, when trying to place an order, it is not always guaranteed that the order will make it through, and if it made it, you don't get notified about it. So you are forced to carefully check if the order was really placed. Most of the times, several attempts are needed to finally being able to place or cancel an order. This happens not only with orders placed through Kraken's website, but also through many other trading platforms.
"Kraken Relentless Order Placer" comes to rescue by making the process of placing/checking orders automatic. When you press "Place Order", Kraken Relentless Order Placer will try to place the order continuously until: 1) it succeeds, 2) a fixed maximum number of attempts is reached or, 3) the process is aborted by the user. The same is valid when canceling an existing open order. The app displays fresh Bid and Ask prices and automatically calculates the cost of limit and market orders (including fees). On the Option tab, you can insert the API keys (which can be generated on Kraken website) and adjust various parameters, like the fees and the maximum number of attempts.

IMPORTANT: In order to activate the app, please PM me the 'personal code' generated when starting the program for the first time: you will receive your personal activation code.
