Just to make it clear, I am not looking for free Bitcoin.  I lost a significant amount to a fraudulent online trading platform which has now been shutdown.  I have accepted my loss and am not soliciting these people who randomly contact me.  I would never pay anything upfront to these individuals.  if someone claims to have access to any of my investment funds and wants to transfer them to me without an upfront payment then I would do my due diligence first.  My first inclination when someone contacts me is that it is a scam.  If I am unsure then I seek the advice of the forum members to educate me.  In this instance I knew nothing about Bitcoin.org but you guys have educated me and I now know how what red flags to look for.

The person who called me claims that they can send me money that I had invested in an online trading platform that was found to be fraudulent and was subsequently shutdown.  This person claims that my funds will be sent without me making a payment to them until after I have received my funds.

I just received a phone call from someone in Scotland claiming to be with Bitcoin.org.  What is Bitcoin.org and what is its purpose?

Someone has sent me BTC from their Electrum Bitcoin Wallet using the Bitcoin Lightning Network.  The transaction is pending and has been stuck for 3 months.  Is there anyway to confirm where this transaction is and get it to go through?

Someone has sent BTC on the Bitcoin Lightning Network from their Electrum Bitcoin Wallet to my personal wallet address.  The status of the transaction is pending and has been stuck in the Lightning Network for 3 months now.  How can I find out why it is stuck and expedite the transaction?

Thank you everyone.  This is the final confirmation that I needed in order to be convinced that this transaction is a fake.  As there was a large amount of money at stake I needed to be sure.  Unfortunately I have lost a significant amount of money to these individuals who claimed they could recover my funds from a fraudulent online trading platform.  I have learned a hard lesson from all of this.

Below is a text version of a screenshot of a supposed Electrum transaction that was sent to me.  As there are missing numbers and letters from the middle of the transaction ID, I am thinking that this is fake.  Can someone confirm if this looks like a transaction or not. I am sure that the Electrum window would show the entire transaction ID without any missing letters and numbers in the middle.  Thanks.

The company that is claiming they will send me the BTC says I am required to pay 0.59 BTC in order to receive 12.4 BTC and that the 0.59 BTC will be refunded with the transfer of the 12.4 BTC.  I received an "Incoming Transaction" which requests this amount with the following wording:

"Required Minimum Hash Power on Reflection ID: 0.598647 BTC"

What doesn't make sense to me is that they are using Lightning Network to transfer this large amount of BTC.  Also I have no idea what Hash Power on Reflection ID means.

The company that is claiming they are going to send the bitcoin is stating that I need to transfer 0.598647 BTC in order to receive 12.4 BTC.  They are using Lightning Network.  This is what they have stated:

"Required Minimum Hash Power on Reflection ID: 0.598647 BTC"

They say once I pay the 0.598647 BTC I will receive the 12.4 BTC and that the 0.598647 BTC will be refunded.  I have no idea what they mean by "Hash Power on Reflection ID" and why the fee is so large.

Is the Lightning Network used strictly for small transactions between two parties or can one party use it to send a large quantity of BTC (e.g. 35 BTC) to the other party?  Is there any advantage to sending large amounts using the Lightning Network vs. using the normal bitcoin Blockchain?

My understanding is that on the Bitcoin Lighting Network, both parties, the sender, and receiver must make a payment on top of the outgoing and incoming transactions.  Why is that?

The email address showing up on this "Incoming Transaction" is transaction@encrypted-blockchain.com.  The bitcoin was being sent by Crypto Fund AG in Zug Switzerland.

This "Incoming Transaction" was sent to my personal email.  It showed up with an official Blockchain.com logo on the document and came from an email address: transaction@encripyted-blockchain.com. I don't have an account with Electrum.  My account is with a different blockchain platform.

I received the following "Incoming Transaction" referring to a transfer of bitcoin to my blockchain wallet from another company through Electrum and Lightning Network.  This "Incoming Transaction" requests that I pay a minimum hash power on Reflection ID fee which they say will be refunded with the transfer.  I have deleted the wallet addresses in the message below.  Is this legitimate?

The trading platform is Bullgeko.  They are requesting a 0.75% hash power fee for a transfer of $500k.
