Spiking...did Saylor (or someone even bigger Wink) buy a massive amount?
Probably more institutional investors are buying massively, so the price hike?

Can we be able to see whole green dildo this week?

Any ideas on what new things I'll do this year?  Roll Eyes
No any clues at all on what new things you gonna do this year but how about electing some old folks as "Bitcointalk Forum Kingpin" who has broad knowledge and shares within, would be much exciting to see who is more recognized for a position.  Smiley

Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻
by

For now people prefer to use Bitcoin as an asset rather than a currency. There are other factors that are also limiting El Salvadorians from embracing the use of Bitcoin as a legal tender such as poverty and lack of basic infastructure. Maybe more people will consider using Bitcoin as a currency in the future when it has achieved stability and the economic conditions of the country have improved.
The government keeps getting applause on appreciation for making bitcoin as a legal tender from different nations but what about the elsalvadorian's who are still unaware on utilization of bitcoin? Have they taught about some decentralized wallets? Also, have seen few old videos about what people doing after government legalized it, the more people they have been making transaction for the daily life groceries, simply electricity bills payment etc thru some centralized exchanges, exchanging for fiat asap after receiving btc from somewhere thru another mid man, few other hopium about will make profit- keep holding on someone's centralizedwallet? What you think about this, is the country making mistakes not developing in infrastructures from taking out the unrealised gains from holding massives 1000's of bitcoin? I think people better hodl their stash instead quick sells for bucks soon(does they took bitcoin as a simply digital cash system of fiat for their country for the daily basis trade?).

Re: Does the DCA strategy inspire newbies to invest?

I find investors using the DCA strategy invest for the long term.
Yes, many applies this strategy for the personal gains. It is an interesting option for the people who don't wanna spend much time keep staring on price chart to buy only in desired price. In sort, it helps in accumulation of bitcoin in different prices neither high or low makes balances between of both regret and fear.

Special Considerations Should Beginners Follow the DCA Method for Bitcoin Investments?
Just keep buying Bitcoin regularly no matters how much in quantity where the price leads if you believe in it, and hodl till retirement. Then you will know, you know. But Op, I've seen few posts of yours, you've been always talking about other investors what they think about on different approaches. what about you? Are you not intrested towards bitcoin on investment purpose for the long-term? Are you afraid to stack now because of new ath/observation before jumping in or else?

Good day, I heard that bitcoin investment is a way to get profit in the future. I got to know Bitcoin is a good investment through a well-known person of mine. Is bitcoin actually able to give me a high profit?

Suggest and help me to move forward.

Even if you started stacking bitcoin right now you'd still be ahead of 99% of people. It would be good decision if you started your journey owning some stash, it's actually a mind blowing that the amount of people still scared to invest on bitcoin  Grin.

It's bit of roller coaster ride with along ups and downs but hodling tight for the long term will definitely shows up with fruitful growth lateron instead thinking of short term gain with huge risk. But op are you thinking about jumping in or just to see how price stick around?

Re: Will NFTs make a comeback?
by

OpenSea's overall matrics looks pretty bad

can also roughly reflect the state of NFT, the trend isn't coming back, there might be several occasional big NFT coming out but I won't expect the overall NFT hype to be as big as it was back then, the thing is, NFT already labeled so bad after the previous NFT market crash, people also too fixated on speculating meme, lower entry barrier and faster money circulation.

I don't even know who still trades NFT these days.

Nft's were the tech version of the Beanie Baby collectibles fad. No one knew why they were valued so highly and after becoming the hottest new thing quickly plummeted to worthlessness after people realized they had invested in trash. Then, like much any pump and dump scheme, it was a scramble for everyone involved to sell as quickly as possible before everyone realized what they had paid big money for was completely worthless  Grin. These days ain't lot a stick around with or to invest their money in such ponzi scheme and I don't see the potentiality that Nft's will comeback in market sadly after it ruined the people's trust.

Re: [CHALLENGE] Run A Bitcoin Node: 14 Days To 14 Merits
by
STINKYBEE
on 17/11/2024, 20:32:45 UTC

Dear brother, the initiative you have taken is definitely good. Those who join before December 1 will get 24 merits instead of 14.

Here it seems that we have been discriminated against because when we ran this note earlier, we were given 14 merits. And now everyone will get double merit, this seems to me to be discrimination. However, it is your personal matter, you can give whatever you want. However, I come here sometimes, although I will not be able to run this note anymore, but I sometimes see if those who do are doing it properly.

My opinoin is that since those who run and complete this note at present will get double merits, accordingly I also deserve merit because we also have the right here because earlier we had successfully run Bitcoin Core and downloaded it.

Anyway, don't think anything, I just said it jokingly, brother. I see your work and post, you do very good quality work. I posted here again after a long time.

OP recently stated that on Nov'14 only those who join the challenge for 14 days will receive double merit from 14 to 24 before December first. So, I don't think you've been discriminated neither any of old participants complained about being discriminated too. This argument makes no sense afterall i guess.

Re: Some dude claims to have met Satoshi in 1993.

So, there's more to this story of Scottie Pippen. He has tweeted some good prediction that did happened although on the exact date but with the price that he has mentioned. Now, he has met Satoshi in 1993? only him can tell the truth, maybe true, maybe for the sake of attention.
Do you think scottie was smart enough to met satoshi back then in 1993? Probably I'll say pippen is a weak guy whose wife left him and started dating Jordan's son, also refused the invitation by Kim jong Un from north korea while he had opportunity to visit there but later on rodman went N.K. I've seen twice, thrice post of him on Twitter claiming that satoshi came in his dream and told him that blah blah blah about bitcoin future, i don't remember but yeah he gave the actual date that bitcoin will reach ath or something (whatever happened/'ll/s that is only an imposter prophecy for the audience) and probably those dreams are day dreamed after a one cocaine snort.

Re: Do not share your bitcoin holdings with everyone

The only people you can trust on this earth are probably your parents and then your spouse, and trust your spouse if only you know he/she is trustworthy because you have been together for years, and it should be easy for you to understand that when you are living together.
In my case, I trust my parents, so it's not an issue for me to share personal details about my finances with them, just like they share everything with me. But that is my case, therefore I can't say every parents are going to be trustworthy and loyal to their children, because there are situations where parents took advantage of their children and even commited crimes against them, while the opposite has also happened in other situations.

To tell people to not trust anyone is too extreme. I think you have to discern who you can trust from who you can't. At some point in your life, inevitably you have to trust someone, otherwise you are going to have a hard time doing business, making friendships and building a professional career.

I would avoid talking to women about personal finances, though. If you don't avoid, it's going to be pretty hard to conclude if she is interested in you or in your money.

That's nice @uneng, at least you have your parent's to share these investment thing's within, how about someone who lives in a country where Bitcoin and other cryptos are termed as illegal interms of investing or so-called money laundering in government term? Now everyone knows bitcoin is the future and slowly it will known as a reserve treasury for the nation by replacing gold in the same time how about a dude still buying small amount of/ in twice, thrice a week after knowing what bitcoin is as much as possible in incognito thinking will have bright future while taking huge risk if caught out will be sentenced minimum as a 10 years for the jail time (no matter how much in quantity bought/traded/sold or hodl either 100 Btc or 0.00001 BTC)? Is this dude trusting parents?friends?gf's? or faith on government? Should this guy need to trust someone? I guess none should be trusted, showing off seems more scary these days. Thanks for the post OP.

Re: The internet is now the Biggest markets in the world 🌍 Today
by
STINKYBEE
on 16/11/2024, 16:08:53 UTC
There is no doubt about this, but many problems have arisen due to the internet. The main issue is that while it connects people around the world, it also boosts feelings of loneliness, and people are afraid to face each other in person. There are many other things that have been negatively affected by the internet. It has many benefits, but at the same time, it has some bad consequences.

Two sides of a one coin with both pros and cons but depends on person how he/she takes internet in use on personal life. To be frank, i was the guy much addicted towards porn, kinda nerd, used to smoke weeds (inspired by snoop dogg and wiz khalifa), bunking class only reason to look like gangster to tease young ladies way back then in 2015-17 and it was the time that internet was peak at my country. Later on, used to spend my much time on facebook keeps uploading pics day by day with different kinda low level poze to impress other but sadly didn't learn any good things at a time (wish would have heard one single word "Bitcoin").

These days I'm an adult and i have responsibilities towards my family, study which is about to complete. Now works at little bit good office to earn some penny to fulfill the desires and these days i don't much use facebook and other chatting sites because now i like to have a real social life, if someone wants to talk to me about something then come and meet me or give me a one call, none of these talking behind screens all day but i love spending quite more time reading og's post on bitcointalk. If people want to talk there's nothing wrong with going out and doing with it in person,  i think these social chatting sites should only be used when families or friends live in large distance.

Man you all posting shit about it and not sharing bets:P

I'm not into boxing betting. I don't even know who the hell Jake Paul is.

But Sportsbet recently had a promo and its still ongoing in case anybody wants to take. Bet any amount, you get freebets minimum $5 worth.

And when I saw it was Mike Tyson, well. I couldn't believe it. Who the hell fights a guy more than 2x his age?

Hope I'm not being dumb but I shoved in all my USDT Smiley

Too early for the odd? Thought i will not bet on this match but yeah the odd on paul winning shows up climbing 1.3 to 1.7 nearly. I'm in with the 80$.

Re: Don’t Buy Bitcointalk Account as a Newbie
by
STINKYBEE
on 15/11/2024, 18:00:20 UTC
Is people still buying bitcoin talk account for what ?
It is safe to assume that there is still a market for Bitcointalk accounts given how much time and effort it takes to reach for example the Sr. Member rank, let alone Hero or Legendary (the latter takes approximately 3 years).

If I had to guess why, it's probably either for joining signature campaigns or attempting to scam someone, which is much easier to do with a high rank account.

I don't think the next account handover user will be honest as much as previous real owner of account with other members on forum and I guess anyone who takes the quick route to get a higher rank easily without learning anything from here either sr-legendary member by buying with the purpose of enrolling into sig campaign or to grab other benefits like loan service etc cannot be trusted imho.
