Blue wallet is 100% safe because is opened source and no vulnerability?

It's as safe as your device. If your phone is infected with malware, you can't expect your wallet to remain safe but yes, the developers of the wallet cannot access everyone's funds.
I knew about android phones since version 1.0 but till this day I have never seen a n android phone getting infected with malware, I don't think it's possible but correct me if I am wrong.

Re: Does GPU used on mining is still good?
by

on 06/01/2023, 11:28:58 UTC
I have a friend that selling his GPU that use on mining for a year. He is selling his GPU for only 30% of the original price. I'm planning to use to upgrade the GPU of ny desktop that I used for gaming and watching on Netflix.

I'm just concerned that GPU work under mining stress is very prone to early break. Any feedback from second buyer or miner that convert there mining gpu to typical gaming gpu?
I have been a PC gamer before I knew anything bout crypto mining, the fact is many believe that using a GPU that was used for mining in a gaming PC won't last but it's 101% a big lie, I build gaming PC for people and most GPU's I used was purchased from miners.

Should I be worried?
by

on 18/12/2022, 13:14:10 UTC
Once upon a time I used to be into everything that has everything to do with Artificial Intelligence and I was happy that some blockchain projects are into A.I but they never seem to get better adoption, A.I is something g the world wants but it just seem too early, now I've give up on crypto / blockchain A.I projects but now

What about Metaverse? Will this use case faces the same fate? I am worried that we are too haste into the future like we won't be needing this until some several years later, is this something to be worried about?

Are you crazy?  Huh Steam Deck can't handle crypto mining with that tiny closed case, if you can afford a steam deck then you can afford a gpu bro, go get one and get on your mining fantasy.

KYC to mine a blockchain for privacy applications? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
I thought this Aloe project is different, asking KYC means the team doesn't even know what they are doing, why is a proof of work privacy project asking for KYC, it makes no sense.

Re: The kind of hard disk to keep your bitcoin blockchain data on Laptop
by
SadGoodbye
on 02/12/2022, 07:05:31 UTC
I just explored hard disk several days ago because I want to focus to download blockchain data to run the bitcoin core wallet or maybe
next to run a full node.
Oh please don't use Goldenfir junk drives, it's time ticking self-destruction drive, and speed is much lower than advertised especially for stuff like Bitcoin blockchain.
When you are looking for SSD drives it's much better to check out used quality drives that have higher life expectancy, something like Samsung evo 860 or evo 870 would be just fine.
Just look at higher TBW number or bigger warranty if you are purchasing new ssd drive, and they usually have better controllers built in.

Here is one good forum post for all good SSD drives in all tiers:
https://linustechtips.com/topic/1092033-ssd-tier-list/

but, i heard research by Alvin Cox, JEDEC, that SSD drive is not safer to keep your data and will be lost in a couple of months if not turned on because SSD frive have limited life where different like HDD in general. so dwyor
HDD drives don't have unlimited life, and the have their own issues like noise and much slower speed.
Good SSD drives have big warranty and can last you five or more years or until you fill up all space.
I was once a victim, I stored a private key with JSON file on an SSD that follows my OEM gaming PC from abroad two years ago, I reconnect the SSD to my new PC in January of this year and it isn't working, after few trials the SSD forcefully worked but EMPTY.

Re: What's the worst threat to a crypto trader?
by

To me, the biggest greed and evil is always the greed to make more money. Because even though mankind has made a lot of profit, it does not stop. He is constantly waiting to earn more money because this will increase even more. Afterwards, that crypto currency experiences declines and then, sometimes, it has to sell at a loss. I've had these, and I still do, sometimes. I think crypto investors should get rid of this greed.
Greed is not something that anyone can easily get rid of, it's part of us all, you have to get disciplined and stick with been discipline to be able to control your greed, when you are in a high profit take it, when there is a big time it's time to buy.

Crypto investment with Stock under same roof, why not?

I have some questions about Crypto/Stock investment under same roof.

Is there any Coinbase like crypto exchange or platform where we can buy stocks from?

Since all this while why haven't we see Stock investment with crypto investment in one open box?

Why haven't top giant exchanges like Binance or FTX implement Stock investments too?

Do you think it's stupid as a crypto investor to want to invest money on stocks too?

Warning

Are you sure you understand what you are about to venture into?

Crypto mining is not profitable anymore, if I were you id buy Asic miner to mine BTC or Doge coin.

All Pow coins that can be mined using a graphic card are not profitable anymore, even if you have free electricity in your home it's still not profitable.

Use mining calculator to do thoroughly calculations first.

Re: What is Trust wallet and is it safe?
by
SadGoodbye
on 02/10/2022, 13:28:33 UTC
A close wallet that do not give the option of a changing address. I can not recommend a wallet that encourage address reuse.
While generating keys and addresses on Trustworthy, no option for passphrase
Not supporting multisig
No coin control and anything like address freeze
It may be a good option for altcoins to many people, but for bitcoin, I can not recommend it. Use Electrum or Bluewallet or other reputed wallets for bitcoin. Going for altcoins, open source hardware wallet would be the best option.

It seems that BTC is the only crypto that has open source wallets, maybe Ethereum too but when it comes to multi wallet I haven't find a wallet that's open source and supports 100s to 1000s of tokens, if I am wrong someone should please drop a name.

Re: Any SSD SATA Ports adapter?

US $97.68  31%OFF | PCIE SATA Card 24 Port with Cables, 6 Gbps SATA 3.0 Controller PCI Express Expression Card Support SATA 3.0 Devices Chia Mining

This is way better than the solution I posted haha, but it's a premium price too.
If OP needs more than 4 or 5 satas he'll probably need to buy this one you posted

This is just general advice, not a comment about "mining" chia.

After you plotted the hdds, the usage is minimum, from time to time the miner will check the plot and it's ok
What´s more consuming is the phase of plotting, but you need to plot only once

To mining chia it's fine. But if you're going to use only SSDs like you said, to another usage, the bandwidth will exceeds for sure
Yeah, I believe 5 SATA is stop small for Chia, one needs to get at least 100TB to earn a little over 30$+ every month so 10TB in five places makes 50TB and they are hard to come by too but in OP case it looks like they are trying to use old HDD meaning they are either from 500GB to 2TB max, he sure going to need lots of SATA slots..

Please only PM if you have at least 8 units of the same model.
You said now that mining is dead but you want 8 units of same model, what for if not for mining? 👀👀 hehe smart dude.

The danger awaiting a book is lesser than the danger awaiting a saved recovery seed online, right? Books can get burnt or torn apart if carelessly handled and the worst that can happen is losing access to your coins, it's still better than someone stealing your coins.

Re: New to crypto and want to learn

What can a newbie use to practice crypto mining? What software and how can I go about it?

Don't know if you heard. But right now there is no profits to be made with GPU mining. ETH had high profitability for years and 2 weeks ago it went POS which means you can't mine it anymore.

You can mine many coins right now, however you will not make a profit when you factor in your electrical cost. There is also ASIC mining which might be profitable with low power but the equipment is not cheap. And that type of mining is not done on a computer but its stand-alone equipment.
Based on my research I read it's not going to be like this for long, I read that mining is more profitable in a bull market and it's better to build a rig when a bull market is about to start, funny thing is how will one know when bull market is about to start?

There are cases of hotel CEO using people for rituals in every form this day, one was caught with JUJU implanted under customers' beds, and since then my mama always warns me about going to hotels, you will never know what bad things are already inserted in that room. May God have mercy on our souls.

How strong are hardware wallets
by
SadGoodbye
on 28/09/2022, 15:19:18 UTC
I read about hardware wallets using the forum search but I still have a question about it, since the wallet is a physical piece of hardware if thrown away or get lost is the assets onboard going to remain safe if the founder know nothing about the key 🔑?
