Liverpool played some good football yesterday against Manchester United. It’s surprising that they have not brought in a single player in this summer transfer window but they have won all their preseason games. There are different from Chelsea that lost yesterday to Manchester City. Liverpool’s squad is a stable one, they will only need to adjust to the new manager's  details and those new stuffs aren’t too different from what’s obtainable under Klopp. All of the players played together last season for one.. so it wouldn't be a strange environment.
With the way they have been playing in the preseason, it’s obvious that they are going to challenge for the EPL title with Arsenal and Manchester City. They have a good and decent squad. Maybe one or two defensive signing(s) will keep them going into the season.

Liverpool defeated Manchester United 3-0 while Chelsea lost to Manchester City 4-2 in the preseason. With the way Chelsea played, I don’t really know what to think of them. The half time stats shows Chelsea had better ball possession. That’s quite strange especially against Manchester City, that plays possession football. They tried to pass the ball around and work towards a pattern, but they were failing at some simple things like picking runs and making quick decisions. Honestly, I think Chelsea will be embarrassed before they understand Enzo Maresca’s style of play.
Sometimes I don’t blame Todd Boehly for sacking Pochettino. Chelsea were almost getting themselves towards the end of last season. They seemed to have gotten a grasp of Pochettino’s demands. They would have been a force in the new season because everything was clicking and they were playing better.

Chelsea have been on the spot light when it comes to the transfer window and they haven't disappointed themselves in getting players they feel are their problem but I know the fans are not really impressed by how they go about business in this transfer market. They know the particular department they're really poor at but they neglect it and act like everything is fine. With Conor Gallagher on his way to join the Spanish side Atletico Madrid (that's if he hasn't join yet) I think they are now losing more of the experience players who are suppose to guide the younger ones to do better. With the recent development at Chelsea, can they finish at the top 4 of the league table? Are they even doing the right thing or are they ready for the pressure ahead of next season 🤔?

Once again Arsenal have secured a quality player and I think the decision to sign Mikel Merino is the right one. This will give Arsenal a much more creative midfield and Mikel Arteta a lot of variety in attack. I still remember Mikel Merino scoring one of the important goals when he was with Spain in the Euros and since then I think he is an underrated player who is rarely noticed.

The fee is much more affordable considering Arsenal have no competition for Mikel Merino's services and I don't think the fee from Real Sociedad is too big to increase profits. What is clear is that the relationship between Arsenal and Real Sociedad will be better in the future and I can't wait for another transfer from Arsenal that will be even more surprising.

Aston Villa, who finished fourth in the league the previous season, bought up to five players because they believed they could not continue with their current squad. Several clubs have increased the amount of players on their squad to improve their performance next season. Arsenal, on the other hand, has just signed one player, I'm not sure what they're waiting for before adding the players they need.

Some Premier League clubs have yet to sign players since the transfer market opened, with Liverpool being the only top team that has refused to do so. I think Liverpool is waiting until August to sign the players they want for next season. Arn Slot must do his best to bring new players and strengthen the club since I believe Liverpool needs a midfielder and a defender to improve their game.
