ETF will not happen.

Hmm...Winklevii said it's ready to launch in first quarter of 2015

Yea, I'd say you've been debunked.

just to be clear, ETF and Gemini are two different things

I don't know how they are going to make it regulated in a way. Or in a way, does bitcoin need to be regulated in the first place? Even if they have managed to do that, what impact would it bring especially when you already have tons of other bitcoin exchangers around.

i think it means that they're aiming to go fully legit on a fiat side of money transmitting service, regulation wise

When did you request refund?

I did it early in september'14, right before FTC moved on with shutdown, still waiting...   at the very least your post gives me hope

I don't think you should get your hopes up too much.

actually, my hope is to get my refund sooner than later.

I joined a couple years ago and there were even less females on this board then than there are now.

I think there have been times when I asked a stupid question and I have been treated a little nicer than some perhaps, but I have also been made fun of for my username too.   Undecided

That's what I thought and probably I'm not the last person who makes fun of your username. I don't approve people indicating that they should somehow be treated differently than the majority because they have something else between their legs than the majority. Last time I checked bitcointalk.org did not have dating subforum and thus advertising your gender in these forums seems inappropriate. While it's good to know that there are females in the community, asking for special treatment basically says that you don't want to be treated equally to men. The latter gets you in a pretty uncomfortable position, considering the hypocrisy in feminism. If this place was anything like 4chan, any reference to OP being a girl would get an instant answer "TITS OR GTFO".

last time i've checked, bitcointalk.org isn't zoo or animal care forum, so hyena's should be inappropriate for these forums more than any gender humans Wink don't ask for special animal treatment by calling yourself some animal.  maybe she is an alien trying to fit in with us humans and some animals ?!
all of this is pointless bs

yeah, bitcoin almost died, almost like you 'predicted', last time it went south to $2 from its first run up in 2011.  Edward, why are you still here, on this forum?

one thing i learned about bitcoin, is not to underestimate it. expensive couple of lessons. as well as not to get one's hopes too high

nothing is confirmed until it actually happens. trend line is just that a trend line, they meant to be broken.

sellpressure by merchants is a myth. I don't believe this story. Merchant use is very small compared to tradevolume.
I think the story is a try to explain this market but i think it's not the correct explanation. There is other more important factors than Microsoft selling 500$ worth of items every day for btc.

so in your view, everyone realized how useless this bitcoin tech is and quietly dumping everything they have, i mean that's the only way we could actually reach a Zero?!  why now? why not earlier, why ever at all?!

bitcoin has been pronounced dead so many times back in 2011 and yet we are all still here somehow..  why would it be different this time, Gustav?

has been pronounced dead by whom? Not me in 2011 ... Who was the sender of the message? Sceptics.

Who  is  the sender this time of the message? People who have been activel using and trading it for more than 1 year, so not the sceptics this time.

Again: not saying it certainly does this or that but i see a problem with that line breaking and others will too and that's when it gets potentially hairy - once the super-longterm-trend is broken you are in mid air and have no idea if it's zero the next morning so i think it's more likely to actually go to zero once the line breaks.

Actually if we are below that line for 14days+ i'd be ready to make big bets on a total fail within this decade.

Actually below the line there is a lot of unease, panic, selling and more selling.
No way to get new investors in or a bullmarket going at that point.

Crypto is not backed by anything - this makes it possible to rise like crazy but also to go to nothing very fast because it's not tied to anything other than the liquidity in the markets. And the liquidity is what potentially goes away if the growthtrend is broken. Because why hold it if it doesn't grow and just becomes more risky?

Only a suicidal person would buy coins below the break of that line. Not catching a falling knife there, bro.

It can break the line briefly - no problem but if this  shit breaks lower and stays lower i am out the door and others too.

you're thinking only in terms of speculation, there are many supporters of Bitcoin, that why it has any value in the first place, because people realize how brilliant and independent this first of a kind digital exchange value system is.    in my opinion, zero is simply impossible, no broken trend line will make me think otherwise.

all i'm seeing now are speculators taking advantage of down pressure caused by widening merchant adoption, nothing else. - and that's a good thing, bitcoin at bargain prices, thank you santa Smiley

total bitcoin fail?! very unlikely

because why? The hero member said so? ... sure ...  Roll Eyes

I don't know anymore what's likely or not after 1 year bearmarket and a selloff right behind us (few hours ago) and NO rebound! .
So why is it unlikely?

yeah hero member, exactly ))

more and more people keep finding out and learning about bitcoin, government officials in many countries noticing it.  it has many uses, much unrealized yet.   i cannot simply see it reaching an absolute zero any time soon

People won't be excited about bitcoin again until the community can come up with a real world usage case for it. What we need is for someone like PokerStars to accept it.

Looks like you just may get your wiiiiish.

According to Online Poker Report and other sources, PokerStars, the largest online poker room in the world, is preparing to accept Bitcoin.

Gambling Compliance was the first to report that “PokerStars and major Asian-facing operators are among those pushing for Bitcoin’s acceptance.” Shortly thereafter, sources confirmed to Online Poker Report’s Chris Grove that the global market share leader is in the “advanced stages of developing the internal infrastructure necessary to integrate BTC into the platform.”

only bad news, US players won't be able to play there legally, no matter fiat or bitcoin until US legislature turns around on online gambling or at least for online poker.
