Many players still don't understand the action points in OFC.  They play with a short stack, and if they hit fantasyland, they have very little action left.  They win much less than they think they are supposed to, and think it's a software glitch.  As a result, these players may stop playing, and that's bad for the games.

Perhaps there could be a pop-up briefly explaining that you can't win more than your starting stack on any given hand, and that fantasyland counts as part of the same hand that qualified for it.   This can show when someone joins a Chinese table, and of course a check box to stop showing the message to those who have seen it.

I thought you had to have x amount to join (like, say, at least the maximum you can lose), a lot like hold'em (where you can't just join with half a big blind).

Example:  Someone was sitting with 43 points worth of chips.  He made Fantasy Land and won 38 points total from his two opponents.  Since the best you can do is double up on any given hand, and FL counts as part of the same hand as the one that qualified you for it, he only has 5 points left to win.  We play the FL round and he wins his 5 points.  Then he says "there must be a glitch, I should have won 30+ points there", and leaves.

I wonder how many entrants will be in the 5btc freeroll tomorrow. I'm guessing it will be under 10. I have 136,000 krill so not enough. Most of the players who consistently play on the new SWC don't have enough krill to get in so it should be easy money if you qualify.

I'll take the over.

Why can't you respect the fact that the owners of this site wish to remain private?

Don't play there if you don't like it.

From one of his conversations on skype they also quoted him " “You can give me a quick google and see that I started SealsWithClubs.eu in 2011 and amassed a considerable wealth with the increase in Bitcoin price,” Micon wrote in a Skype conversation. “I plan to relaunch the (Lock Poker) brand and make all players whole.”"
which doesn't sound like him being a spokesperson.

I'm going to speculate that he was just trolling Jenny Larsen in that conversation, or just trying to get information on Lock's financial status.  He did have a radio show at the time and could have been looking for material.

I just download and install software (poker client) but when I run it I've message box "The client must be restarted. Press OK and restart the game client."
I restart client and I've this message again.... and again...

(About: Client Version: 1.1.0332)

How can I play poker?

When this happens, you have to uninstall the client using Control Panel, and then download and install the new version manually.

I had a Full Tilt black card.  It was metal.

The most coveted card in poker!

I'm not familiar with this.  Is FTP Iron Man a points system? a rakeback system? what is/was it?

It was a rewards program on top of the 27% rakeback we were getting.

Basically you earn 1 point for each dollar of rake paid for each hand you were dealt into, or 7 points for each dollar of tournament rake.

To earn the top tier (Iron) for that month, you had to earn 200 points per day for 25 days, while other tiers could be earned with less play:

The medals bonus you got depended on how many months in a row you earned the status:

Medals could be used to buy cash bonuses or other items in the Iron Man store.  There were also bonus medals if you got over 500, 1000, etc. points in a day.

The details aren't that important, it's just the idea of having something to shoot for by playing almost every day.

Obviously connectivity would need to be super solid before initiating a program like this.

Rather than just having more freerolls for active play, consider doing something like FTP's Iron Man was. That was excellent at getting action onto the tables on an everyday basis.

Yes, this.  I always made sure I played just enough to get Iron every month, always checking that calendar too.  It was just the right amount of play for me to shoot for after work, and allowed for a few days off a month.

Also they really should open up their affiliate program to all users, as you can see from my signature that is standard for other cryptopoker sites.

I do think affiliates can play a big role.  But what we really need is not the type of affiliate who is going to stick a link in their signature on a bitcoin site, but one who will actively recruit players who have never used bitcoin at all.  They can hand-hold their players through the process of getting set up with an exchange, setting up an intermediary wallet and backing it up, and the ins and outs of safely moving bitcoins around.  This is a tougher sell than the old days of hand-holding people through the process of getting Neteller and connecting it to their bank accounts to deposit on Party Poker circa 2004, so it needs to be more rewarding for the affiliate.  More ambitious affiliates can sell bitcoins directly to their players, and take a little commission there.  This would be a good way for a winning player to make some money on the side and convert their excess bitcoin to cash without going through an exchange.

This is the world's tiniest bug and it's probably silly to complain about it at this point, but when you have save username and password checked the focus of the login box ought to default to the GAuth field rather than username.

Yes, totally agree!

Withdrawing should require Google Authenticate, for those of us who have it enabled.  Just requiring the password is not secure enough.

I got a nasty bug that happened yesterday and today.  Not sure if this is how it happened yesterday, but today it happened exactly as I was about to enter my timebank in FL.  A bunch of exception windows kept opening, and I rushed to kill the task and was able to log back in and finish the hand.

Maybe consider making a weekly or monthly volume promotion that is based on number of hands played only.  This way people can grind it at the nanostakes, and fill up the cash tables from the bottom up.

Or do something like the old FTP iron man.  Small amounts of krill per day, but you have to play a lot of days each month.

i'll prolly get flogged for saying this, but i really like the idea of lifetime krill earning higher rakeback percentage and rewarding active players with freerolls.

currently lifetime krill earn 2 types of rewards (rakeback and freerolls).  to earn rakeback they have to risk their own bits.  for krillrolls there is 0 risk.  if your a high enough level why not just wait until there is 0 risk?

You might get flogged by donk4u, but I agree.  Give people an incentive to put real money in play.  The site needs activity, and should not feel obligated by prior promotions from the old Seals.  What good would it do to try and keep those if the result is the site cannot sustain itself?
