So after you using a bunch of different firmwares on different units (judging by your previous posts) you just happened "not to cry" here as well as BlackPrapor and note that it is in same day and both of you are not even active on forum anymore.

Is it only me or is this fishy?

Take it for what it's worth, makes no difference to me.

Not to meaning to blast this thread with posts. To be clear in this situation it is 1 firmware on 3 different S17 models. Not several firmwares. Overall the firmware is awesome and I have no regrets using it.

well blackprapor was gone for more then 20 months.

sierra8561 was gone for 10 months and did overclock.

i my self over clocked 22 s9s for ten days with other firmware and had bad results.

to me this firmware will shine with underclock.

the t17 can do 200 watts less with the same hash or close to the same hash.

on this firmware.   so for every 10 you down clock you can add a t17. no harm to gear and more hash. much more sound method of using the firmware.

I'm active on a telegram group with you.

I have yet to even try one t17.

But I will do so soon.

Once it works  I will shoot for 45 watts a th and 42th hash power.

If I do it I will buy more of them.

I always tend to jump right to the overclocking route. I've admired how you always explore underclocking, which in several cases has been the right way to go.

I've also had some dead boards at recommended settings. I've been very careful and understand the risk. I wouldn't have bothered posting about it because I know their can be consequences. What the other poster stated was true, although it has been a small number in my situation. To be clear I'm not blaming or crying, I know what can happen the minute I flash a aftermarket firmware.

EDIT: I'm trying the firmware on S17 56T, S17 50T Pro, S17 53T Pro

I really like the firmware, no complaints works very well. Job well done to dev team. Only problem is, and I'm no mathematician but dev fee seems much higher than 1.5%. Before taking steps to mass deploy, I'll need to figure that out.

After upgrade to Cobalt, I have several S9's now showing 1 fan? So they won't hash. Anyone else seeing this issue?

Love the OS, great work. I do think implementing a fix for the temps should be a high priority.

Thanks, whatsminer.net looks like a scam site ftw.

If you're comfortable PM'ing contact info to your rep there please do. Still hitting a brick wall with them.

Just to confirm, whatsminer.net IS NOT THE OFFICIAL SITE? sucks you have to be so careful these days. I can only imagine the horror of sending funds to a scam site. It could financially ruin people. Thank God for this forum doing what it takes to spread correct information.

Sent my 4 machines back to hosting. Three set @ 725 MHZ are ceasing to hash randomly. I have remotely rebooted them. One was ceasing to hash so frequently I lowered it from 725 to 650. Now that one appears to be periodically resetting itself. I am running the Autofreq FW on all four. I think I may have heat issues. Any suggestions? I need these babies to stabilize.

Why are you using autofreq? with fw from post 1 you can change just about anything. If memory serves me correctly the very first instruction is get rid of autofreq.

Does anyone know of any reliable Antminer S9 re-sellers (UK/Europe preferred, but if not will look to US supplier)?

There aren't any, you'll need to buy direct from Bitmain.

I am interested in buying these miners, forum please provide any insight into these. Many thanks.

 Smiley Smiley Smiley

The demo clip is not convincing. There no real correlation between the unit and the software.

Well there are some big names in btc mineing who have posted on that cos twitter account about how they have seen these miners running and were in specs..  and slush pool also said last night that even tho its not an endorsement by them. They admitted to the people who noticed that some of the cos demo video was shot in there offices. and that they are excited to see something like the dragon miner with its open source software and hardware coming to the market to help decentralize mining out of the hands of just a few who dominate the market.

So its starting to look more and more like they are a real co that is going to be shipping a real product.  Only thing is they are still using words like "should" be shipping there first big batch sometime around march..    So its hard to know what should means exactly..

Being a new product and their first batch I don't blame for using words like should. As with any new business or products, hiccups wouldn't surprise me.

Edit. Some very respected names in the crypto community have seen the DragonMint in use and verify its authenticity.

I have a question for anyone willing to share.  According to the US Tax Authorities, blocks should be reported as income when they are earned or when they are paid (your choice as long as it is consistent).  Although this obviously is hard for anyone to track, but I am going to report this to reduce the chance of issues with my other crypto investments that is harder to report (little piggy is cute / big piggies get slaughtered).

As part of that, I am building in historical prices so any of us can import rewards and the system will give you the US dollar (tether) value based on the average price for the day it was found.  Going forward, it will have up to the minute BTC prices.  I am going to build in international currency tables as well and would like to know which currencies people have interest in and how far back I should go.  I have a data source that will give daily values for 166 currencies going forward.  I have another with history for 2017 for these currencies: AUD, BRL, CAD, CNY, EUR, HKD, INR, IDR, JPY, MYR, MXN, NZD, NOK, PEN, RUB, SAR, SGD, ZAR, KRW, SEK, CHF, TWD, THB, TRY, GBP, USD, VND.

First off, is anyone interested in this at all?  Secondly, would you like a currency other than these?  Third, does anyone need this data before 2017?

I’d love something like that for BTC and LTC

BTC is considered a commodity in the US I'm definitely not a accountant, but only claim BTC as income when converted to USD.

As per bitmain it can't be done via sd card. You'll need a new board.

S9's still in stock, are sales slowing down??

They are only accepting BCC as payment. Not many people mine that compared to BTC

Hi kano. 1 August with BIP 148, do we have anything to worry about? Us miners in kano? I'm a bit stressed. I've read alot of OPINIONS, and I would rather want to know what you have to say.  Regards!
Ignore BIP148 - it's simply an attempt by a bunch of users to take control of Bitcoin away from miners - mining is the design of Bitcoin and it will stay that way.

I'll sort it out within the next week.
I'll hopefully be able to put the new KDB code live tomorrow, so that will finally be out of the way.

Looks like I'll simply have to accept that Bitcoin mining majority is going to accept some form of SegWit - and make sure when it activates, the pool will work on any and all SegWits that happen to be blundering around ... Tongue

Pretty much every block now has the /NYA/ 'expression of interest' in it and NYA effectively means SegWit also.
Seems Core has managed to con/force everyone into accepting it, pretending it's a block size solution Tongue

Don't forget that if it activates, your 1xxx addresses will cost 4 times as much to use per byte than 3xxx addresses
(yeah they really like their dodgy P2SH addresses and are forcing everyone to risk all their BTC on those dodgy addresses)

Once I've got that all ready I'll post about the details and then switch over the main work generator to using whatever is necessary.

For those of us that run full nodes, is there a certain one you suggest?

Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners
by

"Awesome Miner can manage and monitor up to 5000 miners. For these large number of miners an Ultimate Plus license is required. The license is only available from 300 miners and above, and the price of the license is $350 for every 100 miners. VAT will be added for customers in EU and other markets where required."

$800 bucks for the full software license with a limit of 200 miners .... $350 bucks for every 100 miners thats a daylight robbery....

There are many happy customers that use Awesome Miner with 200 miners and more. The software provides much value for these customers as it saves them time, trouble and ensures that their mining operations run smooth with as few interruptions as possible. When having these number of miners, Awesome Miner is really saving money for you.

If you run 200 miners, you have already made a significant investment in your mining operations. If you have 200 Antminer S9 for example, just the hardware and PSU will cost you $1200 per Antminer. That's a total of $240 000. Awesome Miner Ultimate Edition for 200 miners will only cost you $800. That's nothing for the customers running these operations.

Please let me know what kind of mining operations you are running, and I'm sure we will see that Awesome Miner brings value for you at a price that is very small compared to the total investment. Thanks!

Patrike, thanks for all you do. Your software has been worth every penny. And your right I'm running almost 200 S9's and it is a very very small price to pay.

Is there a way to switch all my bitcoin miners from one pool to another? Or am I stuck doing is one at a time?
