Messi didn't play but there is guarantee Argentina would have won if he played either. Plus, they got a red card in the first half you know. It was still going to be a tough game for them.

Apart from that, they already secured their lead in the group in the end. They didn't need the win. Maybe they beat Venezuela anyway but Ecuador are much more powerful. They benefited from it well.
Even Scaloni said it before the match that he wasn't going to feature.
They are managing him just in case he makes a decision to play in the next world cup.

IS funny to see here in this thread we are talking more about the shit game between Liverpool and Burnley instead of the main one who is Manchester United against Manchester City, can anyone said to me why?

So lets change that.

What team do you expect to prevail in the derby of the weekend? Are we gonna see a close match or a open one?
The reason why is because that match doesn't look like one to talk about.
Asides the fact that on paper, both teams are still trying to find their angles especially United.

Nottingham Forest has appointed Tottenham Hotspur formal coach, Postecoglou as Nuno Espirito Santo replacement after he was sacked yesterday by the club. From the last 8 coaches that has been incharge of the club, it's Nuno Espirito that has been the better coach among them. He has stayed the second longest before his sacking. Can the new coach handle what Nuno Espirito couldn't? Well, only time can tell if he can perform better.
From Nuno to Ange, from defending to attacking. This is such a weird move for sure. Picking someone who has 90 degree different in term of club's philo is unacceptable. It can be considered as a big gamble and their chance to be relegated is big. I also wanna say "Welcome to the championship, Forest".
Nope I don't really agree with this. Ange is a conservative coach not an attacking coach and I believe he'll fit in perfectly with the Forest squad.
I'm looking forward to replicating his abilities as he did with Celtic.

As posted by Fabrizio, Nottingham Forest has parted ways with it's manager Nuno Espirito Santo, these's was a tense situation at the club between him and them, I believe that's the main reason why he was sacked. Nottingham Forest has started off this season with a win, a draw and a lose in three matches. I believe that's one of the major trigger as to why he and the club management has fallen off and it resulted in a sack.

I read the news and was so speechless for some minutes because I couldn't believe it until I confirmed from multiple sources. He's the first manager to be sacked in the Premier League this season despite trying his best for the team. This Man made Nottingham Forest to compete with the likes Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool fighting for a top five finish last season but unfortunately, they couldn't make it through. As for this season, it's just getting started and still very early to conclude the manager is their problem.

I don't understand how some club owners think some times because they made silly decisions when they're supposed to calm and very calm when they are supposed to make a decisive decision. Tottenham sacked their manager too just after he won a trophy with them and here Nottingham Forest sacked the coach that gave them hope. It's interesting and funny, Ange is coming to Nottingham Forest as reported and circulating in the media.
I don't think his performances was the reason for his sack. Probably because of some internal issues with the board because Forest are in the Europa league and he took them there.
Plus they've made additional signings to increase the quality of the squad. So I don't understand the board's decsion to sack him 3 games into the season.

Which team do you think will win the match between Arsenal vs Nottm Forest? I am thinking of betting on Arsenal in this match. I don't know how well Arsenal will perform. If the players of Nottm Forest and Arsenal perform equally, then this match will be a draw and if there is a draw, the points of the two teams will have to be divided equally.

Predicting the Arsenal vs. Nottingham Forest match this season isn't difficult, in my opinion. I see Arsenal as significantly better than each other this season. So, Arsenal certainly has a strong chance of winning this match. I think I'll bet on Arsenal winning this match.

Last season, we saw Nottingham Forest play really well, and their last meeting ended in a 0-0 draw. However, this time, I think Arsenal will win, and it won't be too difficult to beat Nottingham Forest. I think Arsenal, a strong team, definitely needs to win, as they failed in their previous match against Liverpool. If they want to win trophies, Arsenal will need to consistently win from now on. Well, we'll see what happens in this match.
Yes, in general, in terms of quality, Arsenal is far superior to its opponents. Of course Arsenal will get full points, they are playing at their home ground. Playing at home at the Emirates Stadium offers Arsenal significant advantages, both in terms of fan support and playing comfort. This often boosts team performance and motivates players to achieve their best.

Furthermore, Arsenal's superior squad quality, the coach's well-thought-out tactics, and consistent performances throughout the season further strengthen their chances of securing full points. With this combination, Arsenal are highly likely to control the game and secure victory.
From all indications, Arsenal is only left with one opinion in their next game which is a straight win as this would boost the team morale to chase the league early enough behind their rivals Liverpool. Tactically, Arsenal has what it takes to beat Nottingham forest with their steady attacking ball pattern, their opponents would be forced to defend more. The concern in arsenal is not actually this early days as they have a way of impressing at the early days of every season. If Arteta can be more intentional about chasing the league and concentrating always on a win, he could triumph. But Liverpool don't look like their stopping any time soon, however all these are speculations and the football fans are definitely expectant as always.
The new manager mojo is still valid. With Ange being considered by Nottinham Forest, I think they'll get a draw at least against Arsenal.

Yes I totally agree with you, it's either the coach hasn't identified the main issue or he is admitting to suggestions that he doesn't really has full control of the dressing room and I guess you understand what this means for any coach. I expected Manchester city to have improved from what we saw last season but it seems as if the teams is still being haunted by their past which is not good at all because if they continue this way it would affect their performance in the UCL
But seriously, it's not a dressing room problem because I don't really see any big player in that team anymore that can detect for Pep. I personally think that they are not big name players anymore in that City team. Manchester City is a team built on expensive quality players. Look at the team right now, how many quality do they have now as against few years ago, the big names have either left or retired and Pep didn't replace them with their own kind. I think that's the major problem with the club.
There is a point in your idea Manchester city only have few big names the club now it would be those players has no replacement the pillar of that club was the Belgian player Kevin de bruyne no player was able to replace him or should i say Pep had not seen such a talent to buy, it will difficult for Erling Haaland to score for the club because the engine room is no more with the club.
Manchester city Pep made good use of his opportunity when Manchester city was at their peak he has won the premier league if not 4 times in a row he might be leaving the club soon if there is no improvement with the club.
I believe that was why he didn't extend his contract with the club.
He has made some signings but those signings haven't been able to offer him what he wants.

Turkey 0 - 6 Spain

How the hell did Turkey concede 6 goals? We are talking about a very important game, a World Cup qualifier, but they conceded 6 goals, they couldn't score at least 1 goal. How was that possible? Turkey was supposed to be the second strongest team in that group, but after that defeat, I see them with little chance of qualifying.

I was overconfident with Turkey before the match, but they couldn't prove anything, losing badly at home. Arda Guler couldn't replicate his club form for the national team, and even Calhanoglu, a senior player, couldn't do much. Meanwhile, Spain proved once again that they are a team with consistent strength. Now, Turkey goal difference gives Georgia a chance to compete closely with Spain.
I really can't blame the Turkish team though, the Spanish team are a young energetic team with lots of talent in. Wasn't shocked at the result too.

I don't bother myself with such comments anymore. It is clearly obvious he didn't watch the game and if he watched, he lacked proper knowledge of football to analyse and see the improvements. Finally, top four has been talked about and at the same time, finishing top 4 would be better for me. We have the depth, I just need these players to keep fit and work hard.
This is true that Manchester United is in their rebuild phase. No doubt they have the potential to do great. And the more they are greatly willing to perform better and want to go back in their glory era. But if someone is talking about their current situation and expect according to their position so I think it will not be negative it will be realistic. Because there is no magic that is ready to happen in the team. They can do better and they will . But let them give a space and their time to return in the field with their betterment. Because very firstly they need to restore the confidence as now there are many players who are not ready to join the club. So, things will happen in a row and they succeed in achieving the best.
Yeah Manchester United are in a rebuild phase and I believe they should give Amorim chance.
He should also play the players to their strength and not out of position to get the best out of them.

Arsenal had an excellent performance in the first half better than Liverpool. The players were quite confident in the match, but in the second half they went back to their old strategy of playing a defensive game. From my review, there were no serious attacks made against Liverpool.

It was an interesting match to see how Liverpool took the lead in the 83rd minute of the match, with Dominik Szoboszlai's goal. Arsenal were so helpless after conceding the goal. No doubt Liverpool is a very good team with a complete squad, which is why they are currently topping the league with the available points.
Arsenal needs to add some major upgrades to their attack asides Gyokeres.
Unless they want to start regressing in their targets. Madueke and Martinelli are not just those upgrades and they can't keep relying on set-pieces to score goals.

after all, liverpool appears to be the team with the highest expectations for the championship. i think they have the most complete starting 11 because, aside from any positional weaknesses, all of their players are of the highest quality.

when you factor in their full squad, the difference between them and other teams becomes even clearer. here are two completely different starting lineups composed of liverpool's current players:

https://www.talkimg.com/images/2025/09/06/UnjtYP.pnghttps://www.talkimg.com/images/2025/09/06/Unjziq.png

this means that even if all the players in liverpool's current starting 11 were suddenly injured, they could still field a complete squad of top quality. that's incredible.
Can't lie everything points to Liverpool winning the league this season. The league is their's to lose.

Manchester City as underdogs? That’s a weird thing to think, for the past three seasons Manchester City have always started the season poorly and picked up along the way. I expect the same thing to happen this season too. City made some changes to their squad which I believe is having an impact on the team’s stability and form, some of these players are still adapting to the league and Guardiola’s playing style. It will be a matter of time before they start playing better as a team and getting the preferred results.

I understand why they say that, as we know Manchester City's performance is inconsistent so some people are doubtful and not sure they can compete with Arsenal and Liverpool  well they don't realize that we can't conclude just by looking at a few matches. I think Manchester City is still a threat to those who want to compete at the top of the standings.

If we check the Sportsbook predictions then we can see Manchester City is in 3rd place as the favorite team for the title and even Chelsea are under them. As I said before everything will be clearer as we get closer to the middle of the season so there we will see which teams have the greatest potential to win the league.

https://www.talkimg.com/images/2025/09/06/UnVwBG.jpeg

It is obvious Manchester city has reduced form and their performance showed and proved everything but I still don't see them as people that won't do well this season and season just started even team that won't go anywhere will be wining and playing nice football but when the time comes they will go to there rightful places. It is really hard to predict who will win the premier league at this stage but if I am to chose or make selection of a team that will win this premier league 2025, I will pick Chelsea but I believe the game will change later.
Not also ruling City out and that's because of their reputation. If we take a look at their squad this season, there's not enough quality to really say they'll win the league. For me Liverpool is the clear favorite to win the league this season.

Mike Tyson just made a post on X that he signed a deal with Mayweather to have boxing fight in 2026.

Just a small reminder to everyone that Tyson will be 60 years old in 2026, and Floyd Mayweather will be 49 year old.

They are both doing this event only for money and this is going to be exhibition boxing, but Mayweather is clear favorite for me.

While everyone thinks Mayweather is the clear favorite, why do I feel the bookies could manipulate the odds and the match goes Tyson's way. I know he threw the game against Jake Paul but I feel there'd be more to this match.

After just three games?  Grin
You guys are so strict, Lol. Manchester City's squad doesn't look that bad, by the way. If they coordinate well, that group of player can win some silverware, maybe even another Premier League. Other teams may also have stronger squads, but let's not forget that there will be a lot of factors at play as the season progresses. Injuries and even parallel tournaments like African Cup of Nations.
Nobody is twisting the fact that Manchester City still remain a better club but due to the major setbacks this season, I don't think they're ready to compete for main EPL titles. The English Premier League is mainly for the big boys and Manchester City, I'm afraid they don't belong to that category currently after following their previous performances, the Citizens just needs revival to bounce back to the top. Pep Guardiola last days at Etihad, this is how he wants to spend it? I don't think so because there have been major up and down movement and the board exercise patience, they need to see evidence of the possible growth of the club.
It's too early to say Manchester City isn't ready to compete for the Premier League title this season, Manchester City didn't start the season well but they have everything to turn things around like what happened at the end of last season even though it was too late but at least it can be a reference that the same thing is possible to happen again, so it's still early in the season and Pep Guardiola has plenty of time to fix everything and I still have a lot of faith in Pep.
Personally with what I've watched from City in this first 3 games is the lack of creativity down the middle. The void KDB left in that midfield has to be filled somehow. With Foden out injured again, they'll struggle this season.

Under 33 is probably the right bet here as it's going to be a lot of running from the Chargers. Clock going to run nonstop IMO. None of the QBs are anywhere near elite and without starting players we just aren't going to see a huge passing game. Honestly though, who cares IT'S FOOTBALL SEASON!!! I'll be happy the season is starting.
Football!!! Unders are money in the preseason. Trey Lance is going to show he could be a full time starter in the NFL.

Anyone like me on here? I am a big fan of playing games on PC and console and now that web3 games are here it's already taking me away from gambling, I've spent countless hours on Illuvium and gotten my favourite pokemon style monsters and I am able to sold few on the open market.

Now I earn money playing web3 games, my point is it's taking my attention away from casino games, am I the only one on here who loves playing web3 games on their PC? Or many don't just know about it yet?

Now I engage in slots once or twice a week, the main reason why I like slot is because it reminds me of the old style arcade games I love playing in 1995, simple and easy, it brings back my childhood memories.
I'm in to gaming. Which games you make the most money?

^^  I guess it's gong to be between Alcaraz vs Sinner in the finals.

I haven't check the draw yet, but if this two are not in the same bracket, and I assume they will not, then they will go and clash into the deeper rounds or even in the finals.

But if they are in the same bracket, then most likely quarter finals will do.

I dark horse here is Djokovic, although he is only out of his prime, he might have a few good tennis in him specially in grand slams wherein his focus and mentality is very different.
I like Djokovic. Looks like the finals could be Djokovic against Alcaraz.
