Check your payment address if you are mining on hashhunt.in. I woke up today to find someone changed mine to GZURrmgbVHpZcAQYSHmqsyQ4EKSL2yiej5. I lost about 0.75 ASR. Sad Lesson learned, don't ever reuse pool passwords and set the minimum auto payout (mine was set at 1.0).

My actual ASR address is GdmdjvNqR4d3vgMMJAiT7FrpyDdAnCcLYu.

what do you think that my pool actually will send you  secret email  you if someone/owner change the address. you will get notice by email before someone try to steal your $$$

Welcome to http://asr.bondni.com

That would definitely be a great feature, especially if it required you to confirm via email.

You guys need the middlecoin watcher python app. I just have a constant updated screen on my desktop. Hoping to get it ported onto my little lcd stats display soon Smiley

link for the lazy: https://github.com/michwill/mdc
Noob question... When I try to run either mdc or mdc2, it gives syntax errors on closing quotation marks for some reason.  for example in mdc2, the syntax error is on line 54.
print "    %s:\t%.2f mBTC = %.2f %s"
What should I do?

that's odd, I just downloaded it and it works.  maybe check your python version and try downloading it again?

I have python 3.3.3 and have tried both x86 and x64.  Which version are you using?

It's not compatible with Python 3. I'd suggest either downgrading to 2.7 or you could try running 2to3 on it.  http://docs.python.org/2/library/2to3.html

Well I warned everybody yesterday... and got slapped in face for it.

Just a heads up: Do not use https://0daycoins.com to trade your coins, you wont get them back!

Well, I did several trades and withdrawals there and had no issues at all.
Building something like that requires a bit too much effort for a quick scam.
If it works, as it does, it makes a lot more sense for the owners just to offer and support their service and to make a lot more money in the long run.

Seems ure with them on the scam...... i lost many coins with that exchange. never sent to me.

I'm certainly not with them and what I said is true.
I still have some bitcoin over there so I'll try to withdraw them and will post the outcome here.

EDIT status:
  • Confirmation e-mail received + confirmed (was in spam folder though)
  • Waiting to receive the coins in wallet...
  • Received! Transaction ID: 5d423babdaf8de3dcb70f609b6ee69c0d149bf02a156059972eb35e3481b0bdf

You are lucky, I have not received my coins yet and there are no traces on the blockchain.info

same here. Don't get coins for more than 1h and then is nothing about withdrawal in transaction task.
When will cryptsy add USDe? Where can get this information?

So far no luck withdrawing my USDE from there (or BTC for that matter :-/ ). No sign of the withdrawal confirmation emails. It's worked fine for me in the past, so hopefully it'll come through eventually (though it's been several hours at this point).

This thread seemed to provide a good workaround:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=187160.0

Disabling/re-enabling the cards after quitting cgminer prevented the crash.

Starting with lower intensity (11) stopped things from crashing completely-- looks like explorer is dead and there were some display artifacts, but I'm still here typing this message. But also, hash rate on one card went down to 4kh/s. Increasing its intensity to 13 inside cgminer made things more crashy. Going to reboot and try some other settings, though it's hard to know if anything worked until after I run it for many hours.

Thanks again for the suggestions! Worst comes to worst, I can manage stuff from within cgminer and never quit out as long as when I go down to intensity 8, it doesn't interfere with my work (gamedev, so using 3d accel).

What AMD driver are you using? I had probs but now I'm on 13.9

Try -i 13

I'm on 13.9 as well. -i 13 gives me about 330kh/s. Starting up with -i 13 may help and then switching to 17. I'd go higher, but this is also my main desktop and 17+ starts to kill performance. It seems like most of the 280x configs use -i 13, 8192 tc, and -g 2, but I think those have all given me worse performance on my 7950s.. I'll give I 13 a try in a little bit though!

Thanks!

Well you should use the "services" section somebody might help you anyways try the last Cgminer version, just in case.

Will do. That was my first post, so I think I didn't have a choice but to post it here. I saw somewhere else (probably reddit) that it's best to start with lower intensity and manually increase it once cgminer is running, so I'm going to try that when I have time to deal with the reboot. I've only seen one person mention the lower intensity trick, so I'm skeptical that it'll help. As a side note, I realized that I can add/remove/switch pools without exiting cgminer, so I'm just doing that for now.

Thanks!

[solved] CGMiner crashes on second run.
by

on 23/12/2013, 21:25:29 UTC
First post here.. I'm having an odd issue with cgminer 3.7.2. I've got it set up with what seems to be stable parameters for my 2x Sapphire Dual X 7950's, but if I let it run for several hours and then go to restart it (to switch pools or whatever), it locks up the display drivers bad enough to require a reboot. If I leave it alone, it runs fine for hours.

I'm on Win 7 with a 1100w power supply and Catalyst 13.9. Right now, I've got one card turned way down since I have an airflow problem, but here's the batch file I'm using:

Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

cgminer.exe --scrypt -w 256,256 -I 17,11 -g 1 --gpu-engine 950-1080,950-1080 --gpu-memclock

1500,1500 --temp-target 69,72 --temp-overheat 75,78 --auto-gpu -o [pool] -O [worker login]
pause

Getting about 620kh/s on gpu 0, which I think is pretty good for I=17. Temps are 68-70C.

Anyone have any ideas what could cause this?
