Wiki user Dewnote (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/User:Dewnote) is an alias of banned user Petropolm (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/User:Petropolm). This user constantly updates https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/How_To_Buy_Bitcoins_With_Your_Credit_Card with their scam site(s). Note the similarities between the site Petropolm added (https://bitpide.com/) and the site Dewnote added (https://badycoin.com/). Bitpide has also had its text changed around to reference Badycoin, the domains just point to the same site.

Here are screenshots of each site in their current state in case he tries to edit them:
http://i.imgur.com/yIS7gu2.png

http://i.imgur.com/PopW6Pi.png

Note the domain in the Chrome address bar. The scam here is that when you make a payment with PayPal, it goes through as a personal payment and you are unable to dispute the charge when he does not deliver the BTC you paid for.

If you have been scammed by any of this user's sites (bit-mix.com, bitpide.com, or badycoin.com) call PayPal immediately and explain that the charge is fraudulent and that you would like to be put through to their fraud department. Unfortunately, many of the PayPal custom service agents will tell you that there is nothing they can do as it is a personal payment which have no buyer protection. Fortunately, they also have no seller protection and you will be able to get your money back as long as you talk to the fraud department. It's a shame that more of the service reps don't know / mention this.

I would like to nominate Majika of Aerocoin! (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=660938.0). He's a great developer who's put in a ton of work and I'd love to see him get recognized.

I know CAIx is having a bit of a hard time as of late, so I cooked up this sweet theme song to impress everyone. I mean, what other coins have their own theme song?

Also, I hacked into Virtualann's webcam and managed to get a snippet of him IRL. He's got a sweet bedroom.

I absolutely love this website, it is hands down the best crypto-charting site. The only thing that disappoints me is the lack of cryptsy altcoins.

More specifically, it would be HUGELY appreciated if you would please add Cryptsy CSC/BTC.  Grin

Thanks for all the hard work! Hope all is well!
+1, Cryptsy CSC / BTC would be awesome!

Hello everyone,

My pool (http://moopool.com) has had SCO for quite some time and I noticed today that the wallet had 0 connections. After reading some of the thread it looks the sCoin developers have abandoned the coin entirely, which is unfortunate. If people can identify the problems with sCoin (whether it be wallet problems, or lack of something) I can help fix them. I am a developer and would be willing to spend some time fixing issues.

Re: Estimating worker hashrate for scrypt using submitted shares (vardiff)
by

To calculate the hashrate for Scrypt, use what you would for Bitcoin but do 2^16 instead of 2^32. Something related to 'target bits' and I haven't fully looked into it but the numbers I get back are reasonably accurate. Certain pool front-ends also use this math for their calculations.

I am currently auditing the database so I can figure out who is missing coins and who was overpaid. This process may take some times (but less than a day). You can expedite the process by sending me the following by Skype or Email (SirSavary or moopoolmining@gmail.com):

- Your username on MooPool
- Your CasinoCoin address that you set on MooPool
- How many coins you think you had (rough estimate, please do not inflate the amount, I will know if you are lying)
- A screenshot of your wallet balance and transaction history (I'm still collecting data related to the bug)

Just thought everyone should know I'm currently working on an HTML5, browser-based MMO with a a large gambling component. It will be using CSC for the gambling and everything else in the game!

Very cool.  What is the theme?
Medieval. Premise of the game is to build a dungeon that other players will fight in.

Appears that multiple accounts were locked out of MooPool today due to someone entering false credentials. These accounts have been unlocked and their owners can continue mining and may also withdraw their coins.

I was very happy that transcoder returned but he seems rather busy with this 9-5 job.

So I will take the initiative:

Any coders here who can help build a CSC browser wallet based on the SpareCoins wallet?  We need to replicate Blockchain.info's balance fetching and transaction pushing.

I also take CSC donations for funding the CSC browser wallet: CdXvZX7jQ8REiHEjtK6fHeLdYH9Pug66He

It will be a huge push for CSC if we are the second coin which has a browser wallet!

Furthermore: Donations for translation of casinoco.in into Chinese: Cc9hFodEjAw6VogzyV4qHc1SoZPB7BZSts

What we really need is a CasinoCoin browser wallet + API, similar to PayPal. I'm already in talks with Transcoder to do something like this; perhaps you could help out? I'm great at handling API related stuff but the actual wallet and storage of coins will be new to me. Add me on skype if you'd like; my username is SirSavary.

UPDATE: http://www.casinocoin.coinarmy.com

We made it! First off let me apologize for my earlier word of victory. I now realize the depth at which it takes to run a pool. So for that I am sorry.

...

Also for those of you that are having been with us since the begining, you have to change your PIN. Email us what you want your pin to be and we will change it. We will be getting a Change Pin feature added very soon.
What is your email address? The cscsupport@coinarmy.com does not work.
CoinArmy appears to be completely defunct. I'd find a new pool if I were you. Moopool.com could use some extra hashes Smiley

+1 Im another that lost a large chunk of coins from CoinArmy. Pretty pissed off with that. On the hunt for a new pool now. :/
If you're looking for a fair pool, give moopool.com a shot. We're friendly, honest, and stable Smiley
