Re: Investing 10000€ in crypto

Hi bitcointalk!

This is my first post ever on this forum! I do follow the crypto market for a couple of months now and I think the moment has come to invest in it. I'm actually hoping for another leg down first and then go for it but I'm suddenly not sure anymore this is going to happen.

I'm going to invest 10000€. My heart says; go all inn in Stratis, forget about a year, then look back and instantly recieving a big smile on the face.

But I know a lot are not going to advice this, putting all the eggs in one basket SO that's why I'm here, and asking for some advice.

Should I follow my heart and just go for it? Or should I just stick to bitcoin only? Or diversify in multiple coins like most of you do?

Glad to hear some opinions and how you men and ladies are doing this?

Crypto is IMO just at the beginning... This is going be so big in a couple of years.. I had the feeling a couple months ago I missed this great opportunity but nahh..

Looking forward to some suggestions!

Peace

Honestly a month or two ago people would have said Stratis is a great choice. It's performance as of late has been lacklustre and concerning. Nonetheless, Stratis is a real strong contender for coins that will earn big $$$ in the future, the team is strong and they are ambitious.

Still I would say you should diversify a bit, there are many strong new contenders. Check out other platform coins like Neo and others

Another sleeping giant is Golem.

I mean when I heard the guy has his own stake in this market , he's probably heavily invested himself...you know he caused or tried to cause hysteria on purpose. Nobody does or says anything without purpose.

So our job is to find out what his purpose was...was it really in the public interest or is he playing some sort of game that benefits him and his friends?

The future value of bitcoin, as OP said, is going to be huge

Why China like banning new online technologies. (Sorry, including second babies... LOL)
It started with Google, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, down to bitcoins.
China just wanna suck the joy out of everything... Are these guys living in Mars or somewhere up there? Grin

What do you say about this? Share with us what you think. thanks Smiley

Honestly that is some pretty good company to be in. Being considered as dangerous as those websites means that bitcoin is on the right track. If someone or some country doesn't try to stop you, you haven't made it big lol

maybe chinese will regret. more exchange will opened in japan and still waiting for permission and after they all opened boom bitcoin will go to the moon Grin

This time China will realize they done goofed, when other countries surpass them in the blockchain movement.

I think with all the press and influx of new money bitcoin price will be well over $6k by December

I think waves, lisk and ark are good picks to hold them for more than one year. Theyre going to see some nice uptrend in the future!
I would also recommend ARDR. Theyre going to be like ETH in the future and its very cheap now, you should have a look at it

Bridge type coins like Ark are gonna pick up in the future for sure but it's a big patience game. If you can invest for a year and not worry you should be good but if you constantly worry about it, I don't know how much you will benefit

Long term you want more coins focused on solving a legitimate real world problem rather than a coin that is merely trying to piggyback on bitcoin and altcoin trend.

That's also what Vitalik said and I think there are right now too many coins that don't really do anything.

With that being said, if you look into privacy coins like pivx monero cloak, xvg, etc, those will be good in future.

Also coins that are protocol based like Ethereum and Neo will be good too. Stratis is way down right now probably it will recover soon

Yeah I don't think any top crypto is gonna make any high gains like that for the next few months. I think the market will be bearish for the next few months. No new money is coming in, people are scared to invest with all the news with China lately.

This is a good point I believe starting new year when people have more money and when people get tax returns and stuff

5 billion xrp is a drop in the bucket overall, as long as R3 are not idiots and release all at once to crash the market

I don't think R3 will get all 5 billion xrp either court cases can go on for a long time

I think this is their way of intially controlling the completely out on control phenomenon that are ICOs. Can you imagine hudreds of billions being sunk into useless ICOs?

That's what happened with us in ethereum. So much junk

It's just a bunch of people entering the market at the same time, it's really wild wild west right now and anyone can become a market leader if their idea takes off - it's like who can get the Gold first type situation

Re: When Bitcoin Bubble busts this Altcoin will SKYROCKET
by

The supply is simply too big to afford this kind of price rise. You can see exactly the same
phenomenon with other high-supply coins like Ripple (XRP), which have a hard time rising to a value
of more than 0.50 $.

Besides, Dogecoin is based on a meme and has a certain "fun vibe" to it, which
probably deters institutional money or other serious investors.

Also factor in the rise of bitcoin

Its not a one to one ratio? Ripple was 55 cents. At 20k satoshi Canadian for me when bitcoin was 2500 and now bitcoin is 4500 and like 5k satoshi and its 28 cents Canadian

I sold all my XVG coins for 5000$ one year ago, currently the price is 100X, I lost a  huge amount of money.  Sad

Well I mean if you took profit it's hard to say you lost a lot of money, you could have rebought when the price dipped.

I'm pretty happy with my current hardware solution ledger but I think if the competition keeps up maybe the cost of a hardware wallet could come down a bit. Right now it's kinda expensive compared to real wallets.

I think that's a barrier for going mainstream

Re: Your favorite altcoins for this year?
by
SonnetStar
on 22/08/2017, 11:29:18 UTC

There is no doubt my favorite altcoin is the NEO, I bought them when the price is $0.5 and I sold a half of them when the price is $50, 100x profit, that is the reason.

Wow that is quite the haul. I didn't get into Neo until just recently and I still don't have a lot

For me my favourite alt coin is stratis and ethereum - I think they will take off even more by end of year

Red flag for me is something like gnosis which basically raised hundreds of millions but only have out 5% of the coins.

I look at how much coins the owners r keeping vs how much they are providing to the public
