The Alts are doing very bad
Looking at the alternative coins, such as solana, toncoin, dogecoin and many more, has drop much more than BTC. Tron plummeted to a one-year low of under $0.1

The meme coin sector is also deep in the red, losing almost 30% of its total market capitalization. Some of the poorest performers include Dogecoin, Pepe, Floki Inu, Brett and many others.

Despite the sad performance, there are still some cryptocurrencies that are still doing a bit good in the last 24 hours. Dogwifhat, VeChain and a few risen by 3%

Those alts that have done well must have news events up ahead. Also it is normal that some projects to make a quick recovery after a crash. Such as Layer Zero, which crashed to 2.5$ or close to that and made a rally to 4$ today. A project that has strong support from the community and their team has funds to control their token price easily does well in such an environment. Some of the project haven't made a quick recovery but they are also doing gradual and slow recovery as investors are doing DCA to lower their average.

I don't find any point to reinvest in a meme project that have already made a significant rally. The upside potential is gone and even it made another rally somehow it won't be worth risking the money as the chance of going down is higher than the chance to making another rally. MEME game is different and as soon as you figure this out it will be easier for you to understand which meme you should invest though it is not advisable to made investment in new meme project.

Re: Is it valid to invest ina New meme projects?
by

on 06/07/2024, 07:31:56 UTC
It is not advisable to invest in a meme project due to to volatility nature. Also if you look at all the meme project in the market then you will see most of them short lived and the dev ruged the investors at some points. So if you still wants to invest in a meme project then invest those money that you can afford to lose and do it for short term. Once you made 2X remove your seed money and let the rest of the profit ride for some time. This way you won't take any loss and can ride the whole run.

Re: ETH/ARBETH Same address???
by
Sophokles
on 06/07/2024, 07:21:22 UTC
To understand that you need to know what ETH layer 2 network is. Arbitrum is a layer 2 network that is built on top of ETH mainnet. It have all the elements of ETH mainnet but it is more scalable. That is why they share the same address configuration, but when someone made deposit on arbitrum that ETH stays on Arbitum layer 2 not in ETH mainnet. Not only ETH but all the token that ETH mainnet has can be bridged to arbitrum layer 2 due to   its being a chain on top of ETH.

Re: What's Interesting About Memecoins You've Invested In?
by

on 06/07/2024, 07:11:31 UTC
Meme coins always seems risky to me. Also I don't find and proper way to find the next meme that is going to bonk. This is really hard if you don't understand the game. A sector full of manipulation and scam where the only way you can be saved from rugged is praying to god. But i saw some people made huge gain from memes and i think they are just lucky that they have managed to do that or they must have any insider information which they have used to made such a gain.

Re: What Are Your Thought on The Rise of Eastern Memecoins?

So now there are racist meme projects as well. So who is going to invest in these new type of meme project? A specific community or people? Most of the meme projects i see are garbage, except for very few that are trying to add some utility and fair distribution of their token. I don't see any other meme project than PUFF doing anything like they are doing. I was in their community, and i saw they had developed a learning process for their community where they were teaching their community about the mantle ecosystem and also conducting fun games with them.

Re: Where do you think memecoins will go in future?
by
Sophokles
on 04/07/2024, 17:46:32 UTC
Meme coins are just a trap to grab retail money. There are countless meme projects that don't have any vision or anything. Owners just launch a meme token pump the price, and then rug the community. The same process continues till the market is exhausted. When retail investors understand this game of meme scammers they will start avoiding the meme project and the money will flow into utility based projects. I don't see meme projects have any future at all without any utility.

Re: What do you look out for first when choosing alts. Utility or hype?
by
Sophokles
on 04/07/2024, 17:40:24 UTC
For long term investment, utility is a must have. Also, i tried to make sure the project fit into the upcoming narratives that the industry is going to embrace next. For short term profit, hype is enough. That means if the crypto community is talking about a project, that means money is flowing into it. This is a chance for a short term profit because of the huge retail cash inflow into that project. Most of the ALTs are scams, so its not very hard to identify the utility focused project.

Re: What is The Future of Telegram Mining Tokens like NotCoin
by
Sophokles
on 04/07/2024, 17:25:08 UTC
Why do you call it mining? Its is not profitable to mine a coin through your phone. The power your phone can generate won't generate any significant earning for you. I think the project you are talking about where you are suppose to mine those coins are actually collecting them. Project team is distributing them for free through game and something that they claim to work as mining. This is a way to attract a large group of people who will actively use their application for a small rewards. These project are just some short term hype.

Re: You Can Expect Anything From Meme Coins
by

on 04/07/2024, 17:20:44 UTC
Yes you can as it can be a big shot or you can crash into the ground. Also its not for everyone due to the lack of proper methods to find a good one. Many people will say you need to find a strong community but i think its a grain in the sand because anyone can build a community and hire bot to make it look real. Its next to impossible to find a strong meme community till it well established in the industry. By that time all the meme fun is gone and there is no point of investing in them.

Re: Is ETH a commodity now?
by
Sophokles
on 02/07/2024, 19:11:39 UTC
It was a commodity from the very start, but the regulator doesn't want to accept that as they don't want to accept bitcoin as a commodity either. Banking sector and people who run them felt threatened by the very existence of bitcoin and ETH. They are the ones that pushed the SEC not to accept bitcoin or ETH but as this industry got bigger and stronger, they had to accept it. Everything is becoming tokenized thanks to the smart contract technology developed by ETH that makes this possible. Bitcoin and ETH are the two greatest innovations of this century.

Re: After the Ethereum ETF(s), which altcoin will be next?
by

on 02/07/2024, 18:42:41 UTC
Some of the asset managers have already submitted for SOL ETF and i am pretty sure it is only because they wants to be the first mover. I really doubt that SOL ETF will be approved. In my opinion, LINK is the suitable candidate for the possible ETF approval after ETH. SOL's demand and volume is fake mostly. On the other hand Link is going to be the universal gas token for the tokenized industry. If SOL ETF got approved other layer 1 like DOT, TON, KASPA can be the next candidate.

Re: How can you be profitable with airdrops?
by
Sophokles
on 02/07/2024, 18:38:31 UTC
Its been extremely difficult to be profitable with airdrops recently. There is very little chance to earn a great amount without having multiple wallets. On the other hand, if you use multiple wallets then there is high chance that you will caught as a multi users. Not only that there is also no assurance that you will get a good reward at the end as all of these airdrop farming started due to speculation and no team made announcement about the airdrop criteria in advance.

Re: How do you earn with your crypto?
by
Sophokles
on 01/07/2024, 17:44:07 UTC
Trading is the most simple way. In the past year, i have learned that you can earn free money by joining airdrop with your ETH. I have locked and bridged some of my ETH in various project and layer 2's from which i have earned a substential amount of altcoin that can be converted back to ETH. In this process, i didn't need to burn any of my assets. I just lost some of the fees. There are some other ways that can be used to earn money in crypto, like providing liquidity in some of the dapps and i have heard that it is even possible to earn money by running node.

Re: How it everyone feeling during this altcoin crash?
by
Sophokles
on 01/07/2024, 17:32:13 UTC
My altcoin portfolio was +83% on the 9th June but is now +51% just 9 days later.

I am buying some dips but mainly just holding during these times and hoping we recover in the coming weeks.

When will this crash stop? and how is everyone feeling?

I have it in my mind we still have a few more months till alt season so I am just holding on for now.

And my portfolio is negative 15% or more i think. Actually, we need to change our point of view about the market. If it goes down, then its an opportunity for someone who is here for the long run. Short term holders can be afraid for any potential dump but a long term holder will keep their nerves high and DCA along the way. Its like strategy and emotion control. Whoever can do it better will see a good profit at the end. This is what i think about the market right now.

Re: Could TON be the new Solana?
by
Sophokles
on 29/06/2024, 14:25:51 UTC
Its too early to say that but since LUNA crash to SOL meme season gives me a vibe that anything is possible in crypto. Not only TON but if a low cap layer 1 becomes number 10 in CMC we will not be surprised. It's all about how the whales wants to make money. If they see an opportunity to manipulate the market and provoke retail into their trap then they will take it. What good about TON is the team is well funded. But in terms of technology there are better layer 1 than TON.

Re: Binance launches Notcoin (NOT) on launchpool.
by
Sophokles
on 11/05/2024, 17:19:11 UTC
even though i know its being listed in binance and being available in binance launchpool for us to stake our asset could very well mean its gonna have a big pump whenever its listed, but there gonna be big selling pressure from the previous airdrop or whatever it is claimer that got the NOT ticked in bulks.
though surely within few days once people have dumped their bags eventually price gonna climb up again, it might be a good investment honestly to buy the its dipping so hard at the early listing.
since its listed in binance anyway it got that tendency to pump again anyway.
we've seen such scenario play out, the previous launchpool was the same, whales waiting for the selling pressure to subsides then they are pumping the token aftewards, this one gonna be the same.

The token supply of the NOT coin is high and they have distributed their token to a large number of people. That means the circulating supply will be pretty high. And for being in the Binance launch pool, I guess the token price will be above 1B FDV. That means airdrop participants will earn a massive rewards after listing. I am not sure how strong NOT coins backers are or how much fund they have raised so far for the development of the project. But without deploying a significant liquidity the price will drop sharply.

Re: Which airdrops are you currently participating in?
by
Sophokles
on 11/05/2024, 17:15:37 UTC
I don't see any hype about these airdrops, except for layer zero and ZKSYNC. What i am expecting is these two airdrop will be a big disapointment for the community as they have millions of users which will be really hard to make them happy with the airdrop criteria. If they let too many users be eligible, then the rewards will be lower, and the community will not be happy. If they harden the criteria and eliminate a large portion of the users to make the drop valuable, then a large community will be unhappy as well.

Re: VeChain, Promising Future or Bottom of the Barrel?
by
Sophokles
on 11/05/2024, 17:11:51 UTC
There are some buzz going around VET as many people are promoting it as one of the top RWA project. I am not sure for which narratives it is working on but its a layer 1 project and i don't see any upside potential for any layer 1 project when even solana has its own layer 2 project that offer better scaling. No matter what i think ETH and SOL will be the top layer 1 project in the crypto industry for this cycle at least. I am not sure what will happen with the rest of the layer 1 but they are not going to be better than ETH or SOL.
