In your opinion, after how long is it realistic to recover the investment money?
Usually longer than you expect. Use hardware offers a clearer path to profit overall if you vet the hardware well - reliability.
To be fair I moved on and not after making it lol. Don't get me wrong I loved mining and enjoyed every bit of it.
What I missed in my past was timing, much to my chagrin.
Buy hardware when no one wants it = Buy low sell high

5 million dollar poker freeroll - CLUB WPT GOLD
by

on 15/11/2024, 21:32:55 UTC
The pitch is bringing poker back to the USA. It's supposed to be widespread for Canada USA residents with a few states and Quebec excluded.

The only way yo play in this freeroll is to win a giveaway ticket, part of how they are promoting yhe launch so hard.

I have been trying to get one of these but so far no luck.

If you haven't registered for their launch yet ( pre registration before launch right now) then I have found yhe best last chance to win one.

You need twitter and have to sign up i under a specific ambassador. No money necessary.

Post here or DM me if you want the details on how to enter the giveaway for a passport to this huge freeroll

Some just get sick of the same drama over and over. Their passion dries up, as the opportunities in the space do (not campaign related). I found less opportunity to talk about what brought me here, or people to assist in ways I was capable of doing so.
Then there is the fact you build real relationships with digital presences and those just dissapear sometimes. The slightest pull from the outside world can then make logging in one day just seem not worth it.

Thanks for the replies. I'll check them out and figure out my best option from there. Ideally I sort something else out and don't need to cashout via giftcards, but now I have my options.

I've never had to go this route before so I'm a bit lost on what services have a solid reputation and are reliable.
I'll looking to cashout USD giftcards for Bitcoin probably once or twice a month depending.

new to BTC mining
This might be a stupid question but

What are the rules or the right way to mine???

1 miner PER POOL depending ,on the hash??

I appreciate any help

Thanks

Sorry for the late reply. I'm not as active as I once was.
The rule of thumb would be to get as much hashrate as you can pointed to a pool, for as low a cost on electricity as you can. That is very simplistic, but you would also pick the pool that suits your needs best and point everything(all machines) there. As time goes on you may decide to split your hash but that's a future consideration.

I would like to ask a few questions on this subject.

If I want to start a small minning operation, let's say with like 100 miners or even 500 miners, I bet there are tons of calculations to perform on wattage, amperage, air flow to keep the warehouse relatively cool, obtain licences, hire specific people to "validate" electrical installation, to "validate" the A/C system, to put up a contingency plan regarding fires, like extinguishers and other means of security, hire security for the location, etc, etc.

Is there some more formal information on this? I know this will depend a lot on the country one is intending to start the mining operation, but still, I wanted to know about some generic guide or so about what might be needed for such operation!

There could be. I'm sure there is a slew of people out there willing to charge for this information. Biggest thing from the start, cut the AC equation that will burn all profits. It's all about taking in cooler air on one side and removing the same mass of warm air from the otherside with minimal recycle.

Electrical, anything to that scale in almost every jurisdiction I can think of would require you to have someone liscenced pull a permit for the build. It will require some back and forth with your energy provider as well to ensure you can pull that load from the grid.

The calculations are fairly easy for the rest. Depends on the miner and their stated draw. Then once you figure out your voltage you will know amperage per device then it's a game of efficiently laying them out to spread the load, while maintaining the 80% safety rule for max amps.

This would really just be a superpowered data center, so that could be a good thing to look into to get an idea. Some older threads here also have images from when businesses started up. Maybe try searching old service threads for "hosting services". Best of luck

Almost no shot that we do another signature campaign, but thanks for your interest.

It is better if you can provide regular promotions or add VIP program to make people attracted to play in mintdice regularly.

That's something that's also had a fairly serious amount of development is our VIP program. It was reworked a lot but hasn't been launched yet. That's coming. Anyone that has ever had any play on the website will gain rewards retroactively which includes many things including cash (crypto) rewards.

Promotional activity would probably come around at the start of 2023 if things can continue to go to plan. Ever since our 2.0 platform launched, development has been much more steady and stable than before.
In all fairness, they did hold a promotion when they launched giving away 5K sats no deposit required to bring in new users.

I did not see your previous Signature campaign to know if you had a reputable campaign manager or if you did this on your own.  Huh
Iirc it ran a few weeks and was managed by Yahoo. Hard to say but I imagine promotional events offer a better return, as well as possible retention when comparing it to Sig campaign costs.

Re: Trust abuse

I think that in principle it is not right to leave positive feedback or include your alt in your trust list. I have remembered that LoyceV has an alt and he has neither left positive feedback (only neutral to reflect that it is his alt) nor has he included it in his trust list.
Neutral feedback should be the standard for any and all alts. It's visible enough to get the point across. The use of an alt to keep the main account secure is nothing new, people get tripped up on how to treat the account is the problem.

It does open the door for potential abuses or a greater voting power, if you originally had th ereputation and trust to grow it. I doubt this was the intent, but I remember a few people in the past running into the same issue. Moving forward any and all known alts, could be added to th eblacklist that was running- not sure how often it's updated. Individual DT users can exclude the alt on their own, which should easily enough remove it from DT.

The rest is unfortunarte to see another relationship deteriorate on the forum. It's personal/business and I thihnk this summed it up for Yogg fairly well.

After seeing several demonstrations from this user, it is quite obvious that not only would I not trust them, I also tend to seek to prevent other users from possibly losing their BTC.

I mean, he is more than trustworthy when it comes to buying or selling an item, or even escrowing funds for other users, but this is not what my point is about.

Thank you everyone. Smiley

Hard to put into feedback but looks neutral overall.

Not only this, the site owner lost the data too. I know we have more features in new sites, but the site owner should take care of their clients' data or lose trust.
I don't recall anything about them losing Data. They were able to confirm balances and port those over to the new acounts created on their new platfrorm. They have given their reasons for making their business decision as to why they moved over to a new platform. Short answer is user experience and a custm build for total control to provide the service they envision.

Re: Just seeing what interest there is for another Betnomi Poker Series
by

on 09/01/2022, 20:07:07 UTC
I think it would be alot of extra work for me due to I'd have to keep track of who knocks out who and what each persons bounty is as I don't believe the Betnomi software is coded for all that.
That makes sense, just wasn't sure what was available for a format.

 • Starting time seems most want the same or near it which was 6pm UTC
 • Starting chip amounts, noone seemed to really have an opinion on this. I would like to go with 50k
 • Blinds, I am thinking 5 minute since we will likely have 50k chips
 • Buyin? somewhere between $10 and $20
 • 1 rebuy sounds cool and builds a prizepool so i'm 100% ok with this
 • Day we are playing? Saturday or Sunday?
 • I think we should make sure there is interest for a weekend series before we start making a weekday series.

If we stick with a 6pm UTC or close to it, I am fine with either day. Saturday makes sense for those in timezones where it would be late evening. I can't remember what we did before but 10/15$ seems like what would accomodate most. rebuys can help the prizepool if people choose to fire that second bullet.... when I suck out on them.

I like the 5 minute turbo blind structure. Would 50K chips then put us at like  a "double stack" sort of start - 200BB . Deepstack poker can be a lot of fun so I don't see a problem with it.

I may or may not be able to play next weekend as I'm at work, but will keep an eye out. The plant has become busier than it used to be so a mid shift tourney might not be in the cards for me anymore; woe is me.

Thanks for the message. I'd be interested in playing again, as always I would only make what my shcedule allows which usually means about half the games. I do think our best bet for trying to accomodate the majority of timezones is to try and go with a Friday Saturday as it would allow most people with jobs not to worry about work the next day, should it be latter in the tournament.

Whatever structure the majority likes is good with me. Here would be my ideal I guess.

8 minute blinds, allow late reg and maybe 1 rebuy should you bust out early. I think it would be neat to play some PKO bounty style games as well. Perhaps that could be part of the sponsored portion to increase the prizepool per tourney. My only ask would be that if there is a Championship format to the series we offer up 2 dates for the participants to decide on for the game.

I am also not opposed to playing a turbo format if we are interested in mixing up th egmaes potentially between weeks. Those are 5 minute blinds generally and can be fun, especially if you start out deepstack.

Considering they are willing to KYC I wouldn't touch this deal. Canada has several simple options available for anyone willing to KYC with minimmal fee impact (we've emerging from the dark age of Quadriga), so it doesn't make any sense to complicate it by going on forum for an untrusted deal.

Talking with the team, if you think you have funds on the original site - Log into Betnomi.bet using your old credentials. Check your balances. If any reach out to support and they will create a withdrawal for you.

Your old account will not be ported over, you need to create a new account to play on Betnomi.com

There will be a new ANN created in a few weeks covering the changes and what everyone can expect from the new and improved platform. you can reach out to me, or the Betnomi account with questions and concerns. The telegram chat is still the fastest way to reach someone as I don't believe live support is currently available.

So this is it? Prosecutor sues you, prosecutor judges you!?
For sure I am not guilty of what Jolly accused me here, that is clear... but still he took the liberty to do what he feels like and nobody can do anything about it? Smiley
I guess more people here think that negative shouldn't remain, but who cares about that!? What a funny story this is...
For what it's worth I don't see your red. Long ago, I excluded this particular user. Simply because I don't trust their judgement. (which is what they should have done with you, based on their opinion)
It's funny that the same thigns are still ongoing, and the same sort of "I need the communities opinion" threads pop up. It's simple, especially when it's clear the overstep taking place. I wouldn't hold my breath Iv4n, as it's already been laid out for them in clear terms by one of the few users who understands the system, and uses it accordingly with out faulter.

I'm only posting as we've interacted plenty of times and I know you'll be better off ignoring the rating and probably the user moving forward. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Thanks for the advice, none of my posts have personal information and I have made sure of that. I reported the user to theymos and I hope they and their ip gets banned. We dont need people like him on this forum.
It won't result in a ban, there's a "take care of yourself environment" here on the forum. Just take precautions.

Can I suggest you scrub all of your personal information from your posts. Whether real or not, there's a decent chance asking people not to engage with you won't work. It's also fairly easy for users to slip up and provide more information than they intend to, especially if you are indeed a minor.

Yes, I would be going to play poker even at a private table ... just with symbolic contributions, just to fight again with those I know. By the way, I am very glad that you are online again, if I am not mistaken, you haven’t been on the forum for a long time either, I hope everything is in order.
Just haven't had a lot to post about. Things seemed stuck on personal issues that I just couldn't be bothered to care about much. With everything going on this year with Crypto and other projects I've been focused elsewhere.

Did you reach out to Sorsis or anyone in particular? I believe Telegram works best. I know they often get a little bogged down, and can sometimes legit just forget about things for a while. A gentle nudge and you should see your bonus in no time.
Thanks, I will contact him directly, and at the same time find out if everything is okay .... and [I'm a little surprised that your contract for the rental of an avatar is still active].
Yeah we keep in touch, and sort it out every couple of months. Never had an issue that couldn't be resolved. I have recently heard from them, and that they have plans that include the forum once again. I've been busy and haven't got any exact details but it sounds exciting and like there will be a lack of 3rd party issues going forward.

I just don't know many people who have used it. Not planning on storing funds there, just simply depositing crypto and converting to CAD, then fire it off to the old bank account. Has anyone used it and what was your experience? registration was a breeze apart from the forced usage of Google authenticator.
Sorry for the really late response,
All good, I wound up bitting the bullet and just going through with it. Considering in the time I looked I didn't come across a bunch of scam accusations that was good enough. Just like you said dead simple to use once KYC'd and funds were in my account the next business day I believe. A convenient little off-ramp, I'll probably continue to convert most coins to Tether on Binance then transfer to NDAX to cash out. Assuming they continue to accept Tether for the forseeable.
