Re: Countries that still don’t like bitcoin.

I guess the list is now outdated. It shows that a country can and will definitely change their stance on bitcoin. So is your country still against bitcoin?
Some people will regret it a lot by the the time their government changes their opinion on bitcoin because they would have missed a lot of opportunities already, good opportunities to buy into the market because by then bitcoin must have made significant increase.

Information is everywhere, and a part of being enlightened is knowing how to search for information from the internet. With information you will know if the decision your government has made about bitcoin is from a place of care for the citizens, or from fear of what it can cause to their financial systems.

Re: What do you try to learn first?
by

If someone who is not that knowledgeable about sports and gambling but wants to do sports betting, what would you recommend for him to start learning first? Do you advise him to go and watch sport matches and learn how it goes first or go to online casinos and learn about sports betting? Will he someone with sports knowledge be more profitable in sports betting or will someone with gambling experience come out on top?
A knowledge of the sports you want to bet in is very good and will be very helpful to you in understanding an option you which to choose when betting. If you intend to want to engage in sports betting without having an interest in the sports to watch it and follow up, research process for you will be more difficult and with any slight mistake, your bets will turn out to be incorrect and you lose money. Developing an interest in the sports will help improve your knowledge of the sport which will in turn improve your chances of winning in sports betting.

What is your perspective on the increasing number of casinos?
by

Almost every now and then, there is a new casino that is setup, each week, it is like there is a new casino where gamblers could gamble. I am aware that the competition in the industry is good, but more casinos mean more publicity for gambling, and more publicity for gambling means more gamblers definitely, and if there are more gamblers, we will have a higher chance of people who will turn up with a gambling problem or challenge. This is a thought I had earlier, I may be wrong, what do you think? What do you consider is the effects of the many options and variety of casinos to gamble on, do you think that it has somehow promoted and made addiction easy? do you feel that gamblers would have been less addicted if we have fewer casinos?

It's sad but true. Just seems as if what we have in the Super Eagles squad are a bunch of players who aren't willing to put in much work cause they don't want to get injured.
At this point, I don't know if it is the players, because we had this same set of players and they were excellent in the last AFCON where we came second. Our problem started again after Poserio left, the regular change in management has not given the team and coach the proper time to blend well with each other. Maybe they will pick up in time again, or they need to change the coach because if you think about it, and say we are able to make it past this stage and qualify for the World Cup, will it be this same coach that will take us there? Eric Chelle?

Re: Yes! Bitcoin is precisely the digital gold

"Bitcoin the digital gold"
It is common to hear bitcoin referred to as this, that is the digital gold, I may have too at some point when I was still very new in cryptocurrency, but seeing how tokenization can happen to real world assets, physical gold can be tokenized to become digital. Should we still continue to refer to bitcoin as digital gold? We have XAUT, PAXG as examples in the digital world which are tokens that have their value backed up by gold that has been stored physically.

"Must everyone invest in Bitcoin"
I am more interested in people investing that is having the consciousness to invest than them investing particularly in Bitcoin. If someone told me that they had serious investments in real estate and other things hence their reason for not choosing to want to invest in Bitcoin, I will understand them better than someone who has no form of investments and is ignoring the opportunity that Bitcoin is presenting to them to invest even from the little amount of money that they are earning.

Everyone must not invest in bitcoin, but it is important that everyone has some form of investment.

Italy and Israel turned their match today into a goal scoring festival as the match ended in a 9 goals thriller. I think  Gattuso looks like who's going to revive Italy because this is his second game in charge of the team and he could get two wins despite that this game against Israel they conceded many goals but if Gattuso can work on the defense, he won't have many challenges since they are good at goal scoring. Israel tried to score the first goal but Italy equalized before half time then coming to the second half Israel was ahead again before Italy equalized and won them by a score of 4:5.
I commend Israel for making the game to be entertaining and not allowing Italy to dominate the game all through. They took the game to Italy in a manner that you will not know that the difference in quality and ranking of the teams is so much. Italy ranks 11th and Israel ranks 75th. If Italy had to dig deep to win this game, should that be something to worry about? This should have been a game they won easily, but at a point where they had the two goal advantage, they lost it very easily and the game quickly became 4-4. Against a better side than Israel, Italy may not be able to do better because it looks like they have a lot of defensive challenges, that is something clearly that Gatuso will need to work on.

I wonder why he chose Trabzonspor when there are other elite clubs from the Turkish league such as Galatasaray or Fenerbahce, who compete in Europan competitions while Trabzonspor only competes in the local league, is it only Trabzonspor who made an offer? or maybe this is also related to salary I mean only Trabzonspor are willing to pay ??
Maybe he just wanted a club where he could be away from the pressure of performance so he can rebuild his confidence. He must be really damaged from Manchester United because his errors was amplified a lot and he was at the receiving end of many backlash from both the media and supporters in Manchester United. A break from all that attention can be good. He is not a bad goalkeeper, he just found himself in a system that did not favor him.

The transfer is more exciting for the supporters of Manchester United who did not hide their celebration, they have long been waiting for the move.

Many people have committed suicide due to gambling depression, not because they feel pressured by gambling, but because they can't control themselves due to excessive losses.
Perhaps suicide will help them overcome the depression or debt they experience, as people who gamble to the point of suicide often gamble with other people's money.
These individuals are usually quiet and don't share much with others, making it difficult to get help.
It is their responsibility as they must know that gambling is risky if they bet irresponsibly. All casinos have warnings, reminders about Responsible Gambling and even without those messages, careful people must organize their finance well enough in order to assign small part of their fund for risky things including gambling.
I am thinking about "suicide" and I have to say that that is actually the height of irresponsibility, to take your life in avoidance of the debt you have accumulated from gambling. Only irresponsible people will take their own life because of gambling, a responsible person will realize how irresponsible they have been gambling and will try to make the responsible choice of ensuring to pay back the debt they accumulated instead of taking their life which seems like the easy choice for most persons who consider suicide.

Re: Platform refusing to benefit from gambling
by
Stepstowealth
on 07/09/2025, 22:18:57 UTC

Even if online gambling could significantly boost its earnings, Singapore-based financial technology (fintech) firm Atome stands firm on giving no platform to e-gamblers as it eyes growing its client base to more than two million by year-end.

Atome is a pay later card where they claim to help their customers to pay for what they need in their lives. Its CEO claims that there is no need to help people pay for gambling because it is not a necessity even though he knows that if he allows gambling to be part of their system, they will rake in huge profits.

Do you think they are making the right choice? Are they helping gamblers become more responsible or are they just missing out?
I don't know what his reasons for refusing gambling are but I feel he is being too emotional with business.
He may actually be making a good decision for his business knowing that no amount of money giving to a chronic gambler will be enough for him, and because of how much a gambler must have gotten in debt even before they win something, they may never be able to fully pay back what they have collected. To avoid the stress, simply just focus on people who you know have a higher chance of being responsible because of their needs which are more important than gambling.

If there is another platform that is willing to offer these help to gamblers, it is okay to do so. Competition is good for the economy.

Re: Do Established Casinos protect our KYC better than the New Ones?
by
Stepstowealth
on 07/09/2025, 21:54:03 UTC
So what do you guys think, are established casinos really more trustworthy with our KYC data, or should we treat all of them with the same level of caution?
I will personally have more trust for an older casino than a new one. My reasons are not because I think a new casino cannot be trusted, but because based on this comparison, a casino is only able to survive and become old when they have gone through the litmus test of passing through the accusations and issues that they will face as challenge to the business. Newer casinos are more prone to hacks than the older casinos unless maybe the management of the new casino already possess experience in the casino business and know how to ensure that there are no breaches, otherwise the lack of experience is preyed on.

Team's Failure, who is Responsible?
The coach is the one who should take the blame because he is the one in charge and should handle all responsibility. Aside the quality of players that can make a team good, strategy and tactics from the coach also contribute largely to it.
A good coach can do very well with an average team, it will be difficult, but not impossible. A bad coach even with quality player will not be able to do well.

So the teams failure is the responsibility of the coach.

Re: If you were a sports journalist...
by
Stepstowealth
on 07/09/2025, 21:25:32 UTC
The sports industry does not only consist of athletes and managers. There are also the reporters or journalists. They are the ones who go to watch live sports and report trackside or from the studio. They follow the season and the athletes. They are the ones who build a narrative and share it to the public. It got me thinking whether they do sports betting or not and uses whatever inside information they have. Or do they spread something just to bet something different? If you were a sports journalist, would you enjoy betting on the sports you report on?
If they find a good bet with good odds, then sure. But i am fairly sure that they don't follow sport books any more then average player. And they are probably focusing on the matches they are covering, instead of looking for value bets all around.

And i don't think that many of them would have inside information more then is available on the internet for everyone looking at that.

But answer to that question. I probably wouldn't bet more then i am betting today, as i would get money for just reporting it. So putting my time and making it quality reporting would be worth more to me.
Investing time into improving on your reporting is a better use of your time than focusing on gambling as a reporter. If there was really any competitive edge that reporters have from gambling, it would have probably already been a thing that the most successful of gamblers will be reporters based on the competitive edge that they have.

If I were a sport journalist, I will not allow myself be under any illusion that I have a sort of edge.

Re: Returning back to gambling after quitting
by

on 07/09/2025, 20:50:12 UTC

And within myself, I am still wondering, what could possibly lead a person back to gambling after successfully quitting initially? Know well the reason for initially quitting was addiction, does it make sense to go back to gambling and become even more addicted?
It does not make sense, but the truth is that most of these people are unable to control themselves and even when they do not want to gamble, they find themselves still doing it. Keeping to your word or staying disciplined is not something everyone can do on their own, some people actually require special help. One bad thing for those people who need help with quitting, but keep trying on their own is that whenever they try on their own and fail, they loose the confidence that they will be able to stop gambling on their own, so it becomes harder the next time.
People who need help, and know that they cannot do it on their own need to seek the services of special facilities that have been set up for it or professional who have been trained for it.

Re: The prospect of using Bitcoin for micro transactions
by
Stepstowealth
on 06/09/2025, 21:47:25 UTC
Micro transactions were a thing during the early years of Bitcoin, but within time they have disappeared, at same time gambling got extremely popular.
I still see the transactions made to a gambling account, that is things like funding your gambling account as mini transactions that people are already doing and indoctrinating themselves even without their knowledge into being able to spend bitcoins on other mini transactions when the time comes. Now it may seem that microtransactions with bitcoins were only a thing during the early days of Bitcoin alone, but I feel that we're in a cycle and something that has trended before will also trend again. What I'm saying is this, Bitcoin will be used again for micro transactions as time goes on and as more people get to the knowledge of it and have some Bitcoin in their holding.
Many of the persons who feel that they will not be able to use the bitcoins they have for micro transactions will be pressured into doing so when they find others around them now using Bitcoin actively for micro transactions.

Re: Casinos forcing KYC after big wins, legal or scammy?
by
Stepstowealth
on 06/09/2025, 21:31:15 UTC
I’ve noticed some scam accusation posts against certain casinos, and there seems to be a trend here.

Some casinos advertise themselves as KYC-free, but the moment you win big, that’s when they suddenly put all the requirements on you. And it’s not just basic KYC, they ask for heavy documents like passports, and some even request bank account details.

So I’m wondering, is this really a legal safeguard, or are they just using it as their own policy to forfeit players’ winnings?
This is actually a serious concern. Most of us might not have reached that level yet, but what if one day we do hit it big and end up facing the same situation?
I think it is safer for gamblers to come to terms with the fact that they need to do KYC registration and verification before they're able to gamble generally. Because it has become a general trend for all casinos and for any casino not yet demanding KYC, you as a gambler should know at the back of your mind that it is just a matter of time before they change their policy on that and do what others are doing. If a casino says that they are KYC free and suddenly demands for you to go through KYC registration after a big win, to me that is a scammy attitude since that they know that many people gambling on a platform are people who are trying to avoid doing any form of KYC verification, hence their action is to try discourage you from getting your win since they know that the chances of you submitting your documents is almost the same as the chances of you abandoning the win because you are avoiding KYC.

There is something that people say that you should be very careful after a win because after a win is usually a time that people can forget themselves and ignore all the discipline that they have been practicing. Winning in gambling should not be an excuse to automatically change your gambling habits, to do things like increasing the budget or amount which you gamble with. After a win, especially a huge one, a gambler should take some time off from gambling, to evaluate their next action, and plan properly for the amount of money that they have won. If you take some time off, and even spend some time away from the pressure of friends and family, chances of making better decisions increases significantly.
When you win, you feel you are a pro at gambling. You can beat the casino and ignore all the things you set it before. Your passion rises more than before and makes you feel more confident so you want to win more. But unfortunately, the chance to win more will not be bigger and you can lose anytime in the next rounds. Yes, a big win can make someone lose control and place a high bet to win bigger. If he can take some time to break or leave the casino to calm down his tension, he will not be tempted to chase more winning. He will feel enough about his win and he will reduce the pressure after gambling.
So as far as my experience goes and being a addict before, I try to weigh everything first, ask myself if I should go and continue or it will be enough for me for the day as I have won already. The trick that I'm doing is that I think of how much a daily wage earner makes, and so if I make that kind of money or even more, I will stop already for the day and think that I have earn enough just some employees.
The same trick will not work for everyone, I think some persons will need to discover a trick that works for them.

To some persons they need to throw a bigger trick to their brain to be able to stop gambling that day because the thought of the amount that they have lost is not something a simple trick can easily overshadow.

The Super Eagles finally got all three points because their visitors was unable to find the back of the net till the match was over. However, I expected more than one goal in this match with the level of Super Eagle performance throughout the match. Rwanda goalie made quite some good saves to deny Nigeria their second goal. Arokodare goal put smiles on Nigerians face as they hope to win South Africa in their next match.
I was happy seeing him come on, he has a reputation for scoring tap ins, and that proved important for us today. I was not happy with the game, we lacked attacking power in the RW, I did not even know who was playing in that wing, because all our attacks seemed to be coming from the left wing where Lookman occupied. The super eagles need to improve if they will beat South Africa because they are the better team currently and we are struggling even though we have the quality players. Super Eagles will be in that game most likely without Osimhen, but Tolu can fill in, and I think he will do a good job as he did today. When he was not trying to score, he was using his body well to ensure other players had the opportunity. Wolves in the Premier League will be glad they have him, his hold of play is excellent.

Indeed. And no doubt that many gamblers become greed especially when they win. The will to win more will come to them and that makes it difficult to stay away from the temptation of gambling. They will forget to reduce the tension after winning so they insist on continuing to play without thinking about stopping for a while.

Re: How is Bitcoin changing the economy?
by
Stepstowealth
on 05/09/2025, 21:16:43 UTC
Bitcoin is changing the economy in different ways. Let me tell how bitcoin is changing my own economy.
To state my own observation, I say that the technology of bitcoin has improved financial awareness among people in a country and has increased the opportunity they have to invest even from a young age and from the little they have. You now find more people within the economy working hard to ensure they have a viable source of income from where they can invest from, in a way indirectly contributing to the economy. Many people would have been discouraged with the idea of working hard if there was no hope to invest even from the little that they earn.
