Last weekend I stopped outsourcing the support. I thought this would be great to improve response time, but it made more problems that it solved. All support is now handled by me again.

Please make sure to settle the invoice within the given time-frame, otherwise it could come to long delays due to our payment-provider

Hey,

I sent through an e-mail and haven't heard anything. Since you're the only one handling support how long is the usual wait?

in 0.041 can you fix the way cudaminer closes please? It causes driver crash but it should close via Ctrl + C command which never causes driver crash in standalone version. It can cause driver crash or my entire pc to freeze and die.

I'm not sure how to resolve this, I'll try to communicate with the process to send the CTRL+C but I'll have to play with that later (communication with CUDAminer via subprocess appears totally borked at this point in time)

In the meantime just execute the .bat file the program generates.

maybe we can ask cbuchner1 for a command that guiminer can access?? cheers for the reply mate Smiley

Taco, due to the seemingly never-ending DDOS attacks on give-me-ltc.com and wemineltc.com (two of the best if not the two best pools), would you consider adding failover as an option for GUIMiner-scrypt?

The way I have my pools set up, they all have the same worker names and passwords on each pool, so the only field I would need to complete would be the site address and port for each of the 3 pools I would use.

I dont know how feasible this is, but I think it would be a great addition.

Also I dont know if I have the latest version, but if you havent replaced the Bitcoin icon with a Litecoin icon, consider doing so!

Failover is already there, you just add it to the "extra flags" field.  It works great for me.

Hallo FullLife!

Can you please show us an example of the syntax for "failover" in "extra flags".

Thanks,
Blizzen

Sorry, I will update to 0.041 soon with support for failover pools.

Common problem with the 7970s it can range from a different load of things here are the most easy to test and fix.

Motherboard can limit the transfer speed.
Triple check your overclocks if they are overclocked.
make sure that the card is getting the needed power amount.

If none of those fixes help and then simple fix the card is fucked.

The only difference i made was a new bios and it got 150kh/s more.

BUG WITH CUDAMINER

When you press stop from summary it doesn't close cudaminer properly. The command for closing it is ctrl + c but i think it just exits it which causes a driver crash.

Thanks for the info about the card flashing.
Do you have the non GHZ Version of the HIS Card ?

HD 7970 x2 basic 925 GPU and 1375 memory by factory settings.

Mine is the none GHz Edition but it is already stable running at 1100 GPU and 1725 memory.

If you tell me you had this card flashed with the bios you found i will try it. I am little scared about the card you know Cheesy?!

Thx. If it works i could send you some LTC or FTC i dont have BTC at all.

Kind regards

Patrick

that's the card i had 925/1375 non GHz

drive 13.5 i kept getting unstable clocks on gigabyte and then flashed about 10 bios's until i found this HIS one.

you flashed the gigabyte bios on the his card ?! But when its not stable it is not working in my opinion ...

685KH/s at the moment. Seems to be stable. Waaayy better than my 560kh/s. Going to see if i can hit 700.

And it hits 740kh/s but i can't keep it from crashing the drivers.

I have tried everything, 100 different launch configs and overclocking all the way from 925 to 1200 core clock and 1375 memory clock to 1800 but i can't get over 580kh/s.

cgminer and reaper, it doesn't make a difference. SDK 2.8 with drivers 13.3 beta 3, 13.4 and 13.5 beta 2 drivers. Nothing seems to make much of a difference.

I use drivers 13.1 and I am getting 650 kh/s no problem.  It seems like it is a driver problem, if you are overclocking so high you should be getting higher speeds.

Got this card today too. The funny part is that cgminer is showing me around 500 Khs the pool shows around 600...

You are experience variance.  Although your card is actually mining at 500khs, the pool perceives you as mining at 600 because for a certain duration of time you are solving shares a little more quickly.  It all evens out though, there will be some times when you are only mining at 400khs on the pool.

Thanks for your answer. Is it possible to post your cgminer configuration ? The settings you are starting cgminer with? Thanks

I would love 650kh/s. Any chance you can share the config and any overclock ?

I've also read about bios flashing to the gigabyte bios which i may attempt later today.

If anyone could help i'd love it. I currently have HIS 7970 iceq x2 cards and they're not even hitting 600kh/s with decent overclock and the settings listed in this thread. Anyone have these cards?

HIS 7970 iceq x2

If i don't specify a thread concurrency and only specify shaders of --shaders 2048 cgminer will auto pick the thread concurrency for me. It picks under 8192 and my hast rate is 700 but i get lots of hardware errors.

As soon as i specify a thread concurrency of 8192 i get 600 hash rate but no errors.

Why can't i use under 8192?

Anyone have any experience with HIS HD 7970 iceq x2 http://www.hisdigital.com/un/product2-691.shtml

I've tried absolutely everything i can think of and I'm pulling my hair out. The best i can get is 600KH/s with reaper. It's pretty depressing to see people with 7950's getting 660kh/s and I'm stuck with these cards.

Is there any reason i can't use a thread concurrency of 1600? My gpu posts 720kh/s with it but all as errors. as soon as i use 8192 it only posts 550ish max. Perhaps this is why ghz card perform so badly?
