I am wondering with the outstanding features of PEPS. Do you really think that it can beat Bitcoin and become the global currency in the future?
I see you say a bit vaguely, we can not compare PEPS with Bitcoin. The other alt coin can not equal bitcoin, you bring the new platform as PEPS compared to bitcoin, the difference is too large.

What is the most distinguishable trait of the INFLEUM that we have?
The most distinguishable trait of the INFLEUM is its inclusive identity. While existing blockchain platforms have been very specific to certain business models, the INFLEUM Platform is inclusive of any business model within the value chain

How can the lightning network can be benefit for transaction between two people if they need to make two transactions on chain for opening and closing the channel. This makes no sense or I don't understand how is it suppose to work.

I can see the benefit for B2C transaction, but not for normal people

It's like an internet connection. You don't sign a contract with a new ISP and run new wires to your home each time you want to access wikipedia - you just have your router connected for any time you need to send or receive data. Same for LN, it stays connected through a handful of channels and you can route through them to any node (practically) on the network.

I have read through Whitepaper only 1% for bounty. Is there too little? Is this project aimed at small investors or towards other target groups?
i have see many project have bounty less than Infleum so i think 1 percent but its a 6 dollar for one person, that's not too little.

Re: No Bitcoin bullrun this year.

So... it's been a good few years now. What am I seeing? After 10 years, this IS the most exciting time for bitcoin. From nothing to over $6000 - das some impressive moving. There was even a few big spikes along the way and one of em almost $20k!! That'll tell you what kind of price this thing can hit when it's not even finished finding its legs. If we're too stupid to ignore signs like that then we deserve to miss out is what I'm sayin here.

Look at what's happened with the price over these years with nothing going on. I'm so f#c*&ng stoked to see what's gonna hapen in the next few years now that there's real shit happening!!

Ya'll ready for another November to remember? A 2019 that rocks the foundations? Don't let the calm before the storm fool ya people. This is how bitcoin price moves .. the calmer and quieter it gets, the bigger the storm that follows.

people like you is the reason why Bitcoin took a huge dive.

The only dive Bitcoin took was to come back on course to the path it was on after that 2017 end of year run up. I'm not sure how that involves people like cipher or anyone else in particular? There was a lot of hype fuel that drove it, but an end of year run up has become somewhat of a ritual! After those big spikes a correction is expected, but at least each correction settles at a higher low than the previous year.

Re: Bitcoin will be stronger this time

this is the longest sideways movement I can remember. We have stabilized for at least the last three weeks. This descending wedge has to break soon, or am I missing something. I know stabilization is great, which would mean that more influx of money would bring prices up. This market has me scratching my head every day.

When each swing fails to obtain a profit greater than the fees involved, then trading will all but die. The price will then wander or drift slowly up or down with very little volume. When this "drifting" establishes a recognizable trend, then that will be interpreted as a breakout. Either up or down. At least that is the usual script. But hey, it's Bit[Suspicious link removed]d friggin' luck trying to predict it.

Didn’t we have something very similar in 2014-15?

Re: MARKET IS RED AGAIN
by

Why would anyone think we're going on a bullrun soon? The last one was a completely speculative bubble. The same thing isn't going to happen again. We are either waiting for institutional investors or until legit projects are actually being adopted. It's happening fast, but this could take another year or more.

Zoom out. These speculative bubbles happen regularly in this space. I'd think that each successive one will be slightly smaller the the previous, because each one captures more of the market than before. It's your job now to prove that the market is saturated and rational. I don't believe for a second that everyone in the world knows about cryptocurrency, and has bought exactly as much as they'd like to.

I need some feed back on my strategy here. At the moment I can't make very good buys in to Bitcoin until December. So what ever little I do have to spear I'm going in on 2 Alt coins that have much promise. Basically if those moon I will of course convert them to get more Bitcoin. Would like to hear feed back on this strategy.

transaction problem
by

on 28/09/2018, 04:54:59 UTC
Hello guys, yesterday I sent some ETC from my Polo account to my MEW ETC address which is the first time I use it, and when I check the balance of the address on gastracker.io it shows the balance as if I had received the ETC and it shows the transaction as type IN, it has 4000+ confirmations already but when I check the balance on MEW it shows ZERO BALANCE and zero transactions. If I try to send funds from it it says I cant because there are no funds.

Is it possible that my transaction anyhow got lost ? Ive checked the address a million times and it is correct.

Do I need Eth funds in order to receive Etc???

Bakkt launches Nov 5...they should be buying bitcoin to warehouse it for their physically settled bitcoin futures

I don't think they would need to buy it ahead of time. Just purchase at spot price when someone places an order. Use clients' money instead of their own...

I see the problem with this bitcoin. It isn't based on anything at all, nor does it produce anything at all. It is simply a way to gamble, that's it. The blockchain it rides upon is something very good and very useful as it provides a medium of safety, security, and even honesty in it's openness to the the world, yet it's security virtually unbreakable because of its openness to all. I would like to see a way for cryptocurrency to be more than a way to gamble away real dollars for a chance to make more real dollars using bitcoin as the gambling chip it is today. I think it is much more valuable to the world then that, if somehow we could understand a way for it rise above this virtual token gambling chip.

I’ll admit I’m new to all of this, but I’ve totally thrown myself into it over the past couple months. For years I maintained a completely uninformed opinion of bitcoin based in part on my reading of John Kenneth Galbraith’s “Short History of Financial Euphoria” (which I highly recommend). But after taking the time to learn what this actually IS, I am convinced that this is an absolutely fucking world changing technology. There is a “there” there. This is real. Bitcoin is not tulips. This is the beginning of phase II of the Information Age. At this point I think you either get it or you don’t. All I suggest is invest some time to really understand the technology. If not because you’re investing, do it because it is literally changing everything before our eyes.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if more than 11 million Bitcoin are lost forever. 10 Million circulating supply is what I expect once hyperbitcoinization happens.

Just setup a good pin and (password 25th word) on the Hardware
Then all you have to worry about is keeping the seed words safe imo Smiley

oh yeah i have that too
i just figured that its the wallet gets compromised somehow thru firmware, everything is gonna be compromised
so thus im thinking 2 of 2 multisig with a trezor and ledger with strong passphrases on both
i just have to keep two sets of words safe Wink

I use Trezor with Electrum when the mempool gets a little bigger so I can use RBF Smiley
It's very safe to use hardware wallet with Electrum as long as you follow the instructions for the hardware wallet.
I've never tried multisig and won't bother I personally don't have the need for it anyway.

yeah i guess my paranoid self thinks if for some reason ledger or trezor gets compromised, the odds of both of them compromised at the exact same time is close to 0
maybe im just being super paranoid lol
