Re: ALERT: EOSlend is EOSgas

EOS entered the market promising great things. But even if you find your wallet for free it is very hard. There is a lot to be improved and corrected. Although many projects produce EOS-supported projects, they are still using ERC20 in the ICO process.

I am not sure but you may be a little confused. The EOSlend and EOSgas that I was referring to is not an EOS-based project, rather, a scam that aims to attract bounty hunters and airdrop catchers uaing EOS' name.

ALERT: EOSlend is EOSgas

May this post serve as a notice and warning to other forum members.

Anyway, I believe we all aware on how big of a scam EOSgas airdrop was. It promised to aidrop 10, 000 EOSgas (which is worth $500) to anyone who will sign up. Moreover, they required oarticipants to download an alpha wallet and to pass a KYC using a link directing to your MEW (which of course is a phishing link), thus, allowing them to steal your coins/tokens.

Now, I have come accross this new airdrop called EOSlend. It promises 10, 000 EOSlend tokens to participants (worth $250) and offers additional $25 for every referrla. Anyway, to make the story short, I registered for the said airdrop and they e-mailed me my "supposed-to-be" referral link. To my surprise, I saw this:

As you can see, the referral link given to me is the same as  the referral link of the scam EOSgas airdrop, thus, making me believe that the peiple behind it chose to change the name only to scam other people once again. Let us be wary of this and be careful with airdrops we signed for.

Re: Is there manipulation of sharks ?
by
Swenna
on 23/07/2018, 21:02:04 UTC
Well, aside from dumpers/holders,crypto-related news also affects the price of the market. Positive news can actually pump coins while negative news pulls the price down into downhill. Not because the coin is continuously riding a up and down hill does not necesarilly mena that it is already being manipulated (But I am sure someone is also pulling the strings in the shadow). There are other factors, let us not forget that.

Re: Cryptocurrency or Stock Market?
by
Swenna
on 23/07/2018, 20:51:23 UTC
As for me, I prefer cryptocurrency in terms of investing and trading. This is due to the fact that cryptocurrency is so volatile that it can actually increase your profit hundreds fold, but the risk is it can also be the cause of your money loss. Moreover, I find investing and trading in stockmarket because you have to really look for any stock that is worth investing on, unlike with cryptocurrency, that even shitcoins is sometimes fun to trade and get high profits from.

Re: Banking is Dead… Long live Blockchain Banking!
by

on 23/07/2018, 20:33:58 UTC
I don't think banks are dead. In my country, banks and its use is still very common. Cryptocurrency isn't as popular as it should be despite the facl that there's no actual restrictions in using it in my country. Moreover, in terms of loans and money safe-keeping, people still prefer going to banks instead of just putting their money in crypto. Although, I can see in the near future that the banks will be adapting the blockchain technology, soon, so as to ovwrcome some limitations. I am actually looking forward to how they are gonna pull it through and how the people will react and.welcome this innovation.

Re: Three Fundamental Questions of Economics: What DO You Think?
by
Swenna
on 23/07/2018, 15:03:42 UTC
You should have included more of your opinion regarding the topic. Still, I like this thought-provoking article. So, let me add this other fundamental questions based on my own opinion.

1. Why will we produce this?
It js very important to know about the background of a project. The reason why its concept was created and what it is for. Commonly, we.innovate or produce something out of discontentment or to make our lives easier. Terefore, this question should also be asked. Why do we.need this certain product/service. The reason must be valid and acceptable in all cases. If not, it may only lead to failure.

2. How will the consumer view/welcome this?
Will the consumer view it positively or negatively? If we already know our tarfet consumers, and we already know what it is for, then the answer to this should be easy. Consumers can give their feedbacks so in return, the product or the service can be improved.

Giving merits is indeed subjective and is based on the personal.opinion of the sender as to what criteria they are using and following. It may all be different, but it doean't mean that it is necessarily wrong or unfair.

Having no specific standard or criteria to be followed as a format or a cheat sheet, every member will be challenged to create constructive posts that differs from the rest but is helpful, original and content-wise. This will encourage everyone and will give them the enthusiam to try to learn more and read more in order to contribute to the forum.

Re: Should income tax be abolished?
by
Swenna
on 21/07/2018, 00:35:32 UTC
the bigger the income the country is rich. you'll have nuclear weapons, submarines, jet planes, warships, and the more you complain about income tax, the country you belongs to, gets respected by other countries knowing that you have crazy weapons that could make a place vanish that's all i know. lol.

Having things such as warships and nuclear weapons does not mean a country will be respected. There is huge border that separates respect and fear. Therefore, one should not be proud of things such as these.

Furthermore, not because a country belongs in the Third World does not mean they are basically poor as there are other factors to be considered for this. (Moreover, the word Third World has a deeper meaning and history.) Some of these countries also  is also labeled with such due to high population or because of its low technological advancement and dependence on other countries' economy. In addition, First World Countries are countries which had already explored and exploited almost all of their natural resources, but Third World Countries natural resources remain untouched and unexploited because of the low advancement in technology, which is good for the country, since they can focus on different fields such as agriculture, fisheries, commodity trade and such. Higher income also means higher tax, too.
