Re: T-Rex 0.12.0 NVIDIA GPU miner with web monitoring page and auto-updates

Has anyone else had an issue with version 0.11.1 and above having the miner shutdown after around 3 minutes with the error "T-Rex instance wasn't validated", "Messy shutdown"?

I'm mining MTP and have 2 RTX 2080's running in Windows 7 on the latest 430.86 nvidia drivers.

If I revert back to 0.11.0 I don't have any issues.

The miner tries to connect to *.trex-miner.com:443 to get the list of dev fee pools and then shuts down if failed. Please make sure connections to port 443 of those servers are not blocked by your firewall.

Thank you for the reply!

I tried checking my computer's firewall as you suggested and there are no blocks in place for port 443, or trex-miner.com. I also checked my router and there are no blocks there either.

I reinstalled Windows as I thought maybe there could have been a problem deeper in the machine, but again, after the reinstall, I still have issues with 0.11.1 and up halting with "T-Rex instance wasn't validated".

It's odd because I have 3 other computers running on the same network that have no issues. I even tried giving the machine a new IP address just in case I missed something on the router, but no luck.

I'm somewhat at a loss here  Undecided

The recent payment was a current funds discharge to all verified shareholding addresses. It was requested by a major stakeholder and there were no objections.

The current state of affairs is as follows:
- The BTC mine is still running under the 10% guaranteed yield agreement. The funds stored in the BTC mining address are used to cover operating expenses. The remainder is the realized yield, which will eventually make its way into the payout. The cooling units provided with the HF units are continually failing. A request for RMA with CoolIT failed, quoting a "special agreement" with HashFast. We requested a copy of that agreement, but it was not provided and we were referred to HashFast. It must be assumed that CoolIT is not interested in providing a warranty service on their product. The mining operator is working on salvaging third party parts to create low cost solutions to revive some of the HashFast units, which according to the operator is a slow but successful process.
- The Cryptomex database was provided for inspection. The payouts to cryptomex accounts will have to be verified manually using the tracing information contained in the blockchain. Once that is done, we can determine which accounts got paid and we can also associate old accounts with new cryptomex accounts.
- Willem and DeaDTerra filed claims which are currently looked at. They were asked to provide information about the underlying value transaction to establish a proper trail.
- There were no further attempts to establish any other company activity. This is why one of the stakeholder inquired about liquidation and bankruptcy filings.
- Willem and the IceDrill sysadmin have filed expenses last year to account for all major expense items paid out of IceDrill accounts. The expense filings are consistent with normal business expenses.
- I, myself, have limited time left to inspect the materials of the company and nobody is getting paid for this anyway. The problem is some of the items contain sensitive information, so a public release cannot be provided. If we hire a professional to look into this issue, it's likely gonna consume all remaining assets. So we're stuck in a slow processing.

I'm okay with a slow moving process, so long as we keep the mine alive and continue paying monthly dividends. I know you don't get paid for this, however, whatever work it is that's actually being done is appreciated by some of us. Better communication would be nice though  Wink

Thank you for the funds discharge, and thank you to the major stakeholder for making the request. Good luck with the cooling solutions!

Anybody satisfied with dividends?
Was there a biggish payment today?

There was a much larger than normal dividend paid, which is awesome. However, it makes me wonder why. Did something happen? Is this a buy out?

Just to make this absolutely clear, in order to verify via the blockchain you must send two transactions of the specified amounts to any addresses from the address that has shares registered to it like the one displayed https://icedrillasic.appspot.com
And how do I chose an address to send money from in bitcoin-qt ?!

Settings > Options... > Wallet tab > Check "Enable coin control features"

When you go to Send BTC you'll see an "Inputs..." box. If you click that you'll be able to see a list of all your inputs. You can then select a specific address or inputs to send from.

You're in the bucket "to be dealt with on a case by case basis". If you want faster processing please use the procedure outlined previously.

"Dealt with on a case by case basis", what does that even mean? What's so difficult about adding an address to a list of payout recipients? I have no idea what kind of mess you all have going on over there but it seems awfully complicated. When will my "case" be dealt with? Next month? Next year? I don't want to be rude or demanding of your time, because you're doing this to try and make the best of a shit situation, but seriously guys...

Well, I guess anybody who manually verified shares with 29750f0e1c2fbb3bb got fucked today... At least I did Angry

So what do I do when I've already registered a new payout address with CryptoMex (that has already received 2 payments) and I don't want to use the address associated with BitFunder? To me, the public facing BitFunder address was to be only that, public facing, and not to store funds. I do not want to transfer any funds to the BitFunder address because I consider it retired. Are you able to validate shares some other way? I can sign the BitFunder adddress, but that's about as far as I want to go.

I need to see a connection between the bitfunder account and the claim - and the best way for me is to that is to ask you to actually use the address. I can start making exceptions if need be, but please understand that there are >200 potentially active shareholder accounts and I want to keep the accounts as consistent as possible. Please PM me with your bitfunder address and a bitfunder signed message of the new account address you were using for cryptomex. I will then swap your BTC address on file after I verify the signature.

PM sent. Thanks for your time and quick response!

Is anyone alive in Cryptomex? I've requested withdrawal over a week ago and nothing....

I will check with CMX and check what the status of the payouts are and with Will to see if we can give you guys another update.

Isn't it sad that so much time has passed that I have already crossed these coins off my balance that this is just becoming funny now... I'll never see the 2.5 btc again.

So when are we receiving our payouts from those 1000 blocks!?
It's 1,000 btc and they're rewards won by the pool Icedrill has developed and/or commissioned.
https://blockchain.info/address/12ej4RUwoszmQoKYyFg6Ej27L82xhFS5Ao

Pool Development
1st release candidate has been in play for a while now, and we clocked it stable (massively expandable) at around 2.1 Ph/s for a few days, allowing us to hit the milestone of 1000th bitcoin blocked on software we developed and/or commissioned for solo and/or pooled mining. Details on what makes this pool project so different will be made clear over the coming days as we prepare for launch to a wider audience.

Company reorganization
We are currently in progress to move from a single-sig to a multi-sig wallet handling solution. Some of the major PU holders will hold part of the keys to this wallet. This should improve the day to day financial-handling as we choose a fund manager. A simple dividend payout plan has been suggested and I support it fully.

Cryptomex
Now, while  Cryptomex isn't very technically advanced it did make some decent regulatory/compliance strides in that it passed an initial round of questioning and scrutiny by the HK SFC. The main issue I have with the project is that it loses impetus every time I step away from it for a while, which is a pity. How/if we continue with this project will be decided in the coming days.

-If Icedrill developed and/or commissioned the creation of this pool, where did the funding come from?
-Who are these major PU holders that will be holding the keys and how were they selected?
-Why is a fund manager necessary for "day to day financial-handling"? Since it hasn't been going to PU holders, why so much activity - where is it flowing?
-So Cryptomex, the very instrument built for our PU assignment and the reward payout system, may now be axed? What is the alternative at this point?
-What has held up the implementation of a reward payout system? How long does the process take to go from a suggestion to realization? I hope not another 4 months...
...
1. Rewards payments (previously known as dividends) based on PU assignments on CryptoMex should begin late this week, if not early next week. Please understand that you don't have to submit KYC information to be eligible for reward payouts.

Sorry, Will, but why does it seem there are so many different branches to this project; Cryptomex, no Cryptomex; Developing a pool; Trying to reclaim money from HF; Waiting for the accountant; Hiring a Fund Manager; We're moving facilities; Company Reorganization; Changing wallet solution, one can't help but get the feeling these distractions are intentional? While much of these things are great and wonderful, the very first priority for the people that gave you money remains, "When will I see some return on my investment?" -and this seems to be the only thing that's either being ignored entirely, or getting extremely little attention.

They are paying themselves with your BTC as if they are working on all this bogus projects and in process milking whatever is left, so at the end it will look like as if the company ran out of funds wile performing its day to day operations. As far as investors go, here is a illustrations of where you currently stand.

https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi.stack.imgur.com%2FIe2uP.gif&t=544&c=j2GZRZZXbwGi9Q

This can only be the truth since the accused make no effort to deny it.
