Project Transition - Status Update
What is the update?
We are making progress working on the code for the new Masternode / PoS coin that BOLD will be transitioning to.
What is the current status
We are now running the new blockchain in testnet, with test implementations of Masternodes and PoS.
What's left to do?
A lot. We need to test a host of features. This is only an initial test - there will be quite a lot of these.
Anything else?
In addition to the new blockchain, we are developing a Masternode Sharing service whose primary focus will be to cater to those holders of BOLD who may not have enough coins for a masternode, making it possible for them to be a part of the earning opportunity it presents. We might extend this service to provide node sharing for other coins.
Development of this service is at quite an advanced stage at the moment - deposits, withdrawals, share purchases and sales have all been successfully developed and tested.
"When Launch"?
We are still on course with our tentative schedule of mid-late June. However, this is a flexible time-frame, give or take a few weeks.

The BOLD project will be moving away from a Cryptonote-based Proof-of-Work coin to a Proof of Stake (PoS)-based coin, with a Masternode feature.
Why is this happening?
This move is aimed at re-positioning BOLD to be more competitive in an increasingly competitive space.

The move to a PoS/Masternode coin will be made tentatively about mid-June. Although the cut-over date will not be before June, please note that the mid-June date is tentative.

I have a question for the developer, if I have coins on the exchange, then I need to change(swap) them?
Hi there!
The swap priod is now over. However, if you had the old tokens on Stocks.exchange, you don't need to worry about anything - they have been swapped out for the new coin already.

SO.. i missed it - i only started mining 7/26 OH well tokens are on fire and gone LOL

Hi there! You will need to download the new Wallet version 1.0.2 from https://github.com/theboldtoken/bold/releases/tag/v1.0.2-cougar to store the new coin.

The BOLD Token / Coin Swap period is now over, and the swap system is now closed.
Please do not send old tokens to the swap address we published earlier - they will NOT be swapped.

Trading, withdrawal and deposit of BOLD on stocks.exchange have been temporarily disabled to facilitate the swap to the new BOLD coin.

stocks.exchange withdrawals aren't working. Another way to swap would be appreciated.
There is another way which we have been announcing: please go to https://www.boldtoken.io/swap.php and follow the instructions there. Over 2.3 million coins have been swapped in this way.
Appreciate the anwer. My bad, didn't realise stocks.ex had 2Fa + email confirmation for withdrawals.

On July 30 2018, trading in, deposits AND withdrawals of the old BOLD token on Stocks.exchange will be disabled. For the next 1-3 days after that, the exchange will assist in swapping out all tokens to the new BOLD coin, at a 1:1 ratio. When trading is re-enabled by August 2 2018, it will be for the new BOLD coin - the new BOLD coin will then be officially listed.
Holders of the old BOLD token now have 2 options to swap them out to the new coins:
1. Send the tokens to your account on stocks.exchange BEFORE July 30 2018. These tokens will be swapped by the exchange themselves, for the new BOLD coin.
2. Use our current swap system - send your old BOLD tokens to the swap address we have set up and fill out the form at https://www.boldtoken.io/swap.php. Swapping your tokens this way will be available until August 3 2018 end of day (UTC), as earlier announced.

As I understand it, 46% of supply has already been premined and set aside for users of the old token to exchange for new coins.
What happens after the initial exchange period is over and most of those who wish to exchange have received their new coins? Where do these funds go? Who is controlling those coins?

* All BOLD Tokens will be "burned" at the end of the swap period
* UNSWAPPED BOLD COINS (coins set aside for the purpose of the swap, but which were not actually swapped), at the end of the swap period, will NOT be "burned" - instead, they will used to set up a Community Fund.
After August 3rd 2018, ALL uncirculating tokens will be "burned". The BOLD tokens will be withdrawn from exchanges. Holders of the token will not be able to trade them after August 3rd 2018 - existing tokens will be worthless.

Can we withdraw directly from stocks.exchange and provide screen shot proof of exchange withdraw?
