While provably fair systems apply to dice scenarios, as has been so painstakingly noted by dooglus, it does not apply to a slots scenarios. Provably Fair was never developed, nor intended for slots. Moreover, we don't host dice games at 4Grinz.com. But thank you for that eloquent and detailed breakdown. We hope that dice players find this useful, however, we doubt they will be searching the 4Grinz.com Official Thread for advice on games we don't actually host on our platform.

Dooglus pointed out several times how sha512 could be applied directly to your slot machine predicament. Sadly, this is the poorest reply I've ever read to such a well constructed dissection of a post.

Your original comments were challenged, as requested, and you respond like this?

4Grinz, this was your moment to gain the confidence of a lot of gamblers. You blew it.

+1 Dooglus, goodbye 4Grinz

Re: cryptotipz scammed on Just-Dice

I'm not a lawyer, but as a citizen and so-far so-fair member of the world, I do know that grand larceny is punishable by large fines and possible jail sentence. Cryptotipz has admittedly stolen 1400CLAM/11.19587BTC (at time of writing). That is not petty.

As a generally trusting and non-violent human, I'd like to see his coins returned to him and for him to be a productive member of the crypto community. He appears intelligent, so this is another example of a good mind wasted.

However, I feel if his coins are returned, it will red alert the rest of the scammers to an easy target. If stealing and getting caught carries a punishment of simply a "reset", then why would a scammer go anywhere else to try and steal?

Keep his remaining 800 balance. Find any balances he has on any other associated accounts.

If we have to be nice about it, let him decide what to do with it, but returning it to himself shouldn't be an option.

KingDice, you are better than this. Get your shit together and do positive in the community, or get out. In the real world, you'd go to jail. Consider how peaceful and kind most everyone has been to you even when it was a bit obvious that they shouldn't be. We are somewhat a family, don't stab us in the back.

Dooglus, thanks for proving every day (for the most part) why playing at just-dice.com is the safest place to play.

Alex, I don't know you, but thanks for your help as well. I will check your site out now due to your efforts in keeping the players safe.

You're somewhat right, it's not martingale by definition. However, it uses the same idea, just a different method of accumulating the losses.

Here's another one that happened 2 mins ago.  Smiley

@tigertatas : it seems you know well about what the next roll is? judging from you screenshot that you increase your wager amount the moment it is going to hit your desired number ( I may be skeptical on this )

Na, I don't know what the next rolls will be. I do gamble that there is only so long the streaks are going to run. I believe you do not need an infinite bankroll, you just need a better method. I believe I ?may? have found a good way to do it. For the curious, I'll post more results here. Until then, come to just-dice and hang out with us.

For fun, I decided to comment again on this thread.

I've read in the past that people recommend you create your own methods and set your own goals.

I'd like to introduce you to the first round results of the 'Jiggly Tata's' method. It is a variant of martingale that allows one to bet martingale style without the infinite bankroll problem. Check out the results below.

What's the goal? The goal is 100k.

Have fun guys!

-TigerTatas

Edit: Since I know several people will wonder how much I spent before I won... The total losses were just over 2 clam before I started betting the 20/bet. So Jiggly!

My ideas for running a jackpot.

Funding the jackpot:
Dooglus adds 1k to a staking account and 100% of his stakes go to jackpot balance.
Players have the option to supply 1/2 of their invested stake to jackpot. Default to No. (Benefit for doing this below)
Players have the option to simply donate to the jackpot.
/Tip Last command includes jackpot always.

Determine winner:
Player rolls 99.9999 is solid. (If I was worried about you brute-forcing a winning seed and playing under a fake account to win, I wouldn't play at your site. I see that as a non-issue.)
When a player rolls 99.9999 a 'Congratulations' message can appear in chat and possibly a special color for the Bet Results tabs.
When a player rolls 99.9999 they are credited with (both daily and weekly) jackpot points equal to wagered amount, but no rewards are given yet.

Winner Payout:
Each day, 1% of the jackpot is split between all players with jackpot (daily) bonus points in proportion to their amount as a percentage of the sum of all qualifying points.
Daily jackpot bonus points are reset to 0.

Each week, 10% of the jackpot is split between all players with jackpot (week) bonus points in proportion to their amount as a percentage of the sum of all qualifying points.
Weekly jackpot bonus points are reset to 0.

(I think this will allow the jackpot to grow nicely.)

Incentive for player to donate 1/2 stakes:
Players that donate 1/2 their staked income get a x2 multiplier on jackpot points they earn. (Up to a maximum of amount invested)

adaseb, yeah, that sounds about right.

I used JDCAPI by Seuntjie. https://github.com/Seuntjie900/jdcapi

Any reason why you are betting with CLAM instead of BTC? Just curious

I couldn't care less if I were betting CLAM vs BTC. I happen to bet with CLAM because that is what Just-Dice is using at the moment. Over the last year, I've been truly impressed with the way Dooglus has run things there. So, I'm gambling at my preferred site, not necessarily with my preferred currency.

itod, I couldn't agree more. I created a dice game with the same random number generator as just-dice. I actually use a real jd server/client seed to generate the sample set to test against.

The problem this last run was that I modified the strategy to be less aggressive. I *think* there was actually a good chance I would have hit the 10k before that bust streak had I continued aggressively as I began.

I am playing with a modification of martingale now that is showing promise, but I've really only tested it with a few seeds and less than a billion rolls. (Hammering off 100 million rolls only takes a few seconds.)

If anyone is interested, I created a loss streak simulator at streakcalc.azurewebsites.net. Each time you click roll, the results are calculated live, so you might want to run it a few times to get a good idea of what to expect.

If you run 100 million rolls at 9% a few times, you will see that the 160+ loss streak is somewhat rare, but not impossible by any means.

I simply gambled that 10k came before 160 losses. Sucks to be wrong, but the next round I might be right Wink

See you on Just-Dice.com

Tiger

*edit* Thanks omahapoker! Hope you are around if/when I do get this right Smiley  I'm sure I'll need more like 11k to reach my goal after all the celebration tips go out!

Just for fun, I'll add my thoughts to the thread.

Dooglus was spot on with the details of the 'method' used, but I'll recap so you can judge my sanity.

I decided to try this 9% martingale technique to see if I could reach 10k clams before I busted. That should make it pretty clear I was very much aware that busting was inevitable. (I guess  Grin)

First, I created a little bot that would bet on 40 accounts up to 10 clams at 9% over 110 losses. At this point, I would get a message on my phone and JD chat that would alert me of a bust. I would then transfer 100 CLAM to the bot that busted from one of my primary accounts. At that point, I would just hope lady-luck was on my side and bet cautiously.

I had countless people tell me to quit and take my winnings and run. However, I see no thrill in that and I was on a mission to 10k. Someone asked how much I lost, my answer is 5.5k. Once clams are won, they are yours to lose. (About 4k of that was profit. I had won a little over 1k from a previous failed martingale I finished up.)

Dooglus, I still think the system can be beat.  Shocked

I'll accept your challenge of 'put your money where your mouth is' and give it another attempt soon. I have already started simulating millions of bets with a modified strategy and maybe this time I'll get the 10k.

Oh, and I wouldn't think of playing anywhere other than Just-Dice.com!

(If there is anyone out there with a brilliant plan of attack, jump on JD and message me and I will code up a bot to carry out the plan.)

Thanks for the input guys. I have thought about lowering the payouts to 'stretch' the bankroll out. However, I am leaning toward leaving it as is, random between 33% - 66%.  Honestly, here is why, I'm a little lazy.

I like the idea that when I want to ramp up the chatter and betting, all it takes is 10-20 clam. I enjoy seeing people get active in both chatting (even insults) and betting. It just makes my stay more fun.

So, for the personal reasons above, I guess the bot stays as is for now. Enjoy the higher payouts Wink

Oh, and I guess now is as good a time as any to load the bot. So, grab your sniper bullets (tm) and come to Just-Dice!

See you there, TigerTatas  <-- wtf kind of name is that  Grin

First, let me give credit where it's due. The idea of the BetSniper game came to me as a modification of the milestone giveaways that v1rtu0so hosts. I always thought it was a cool idea and it got everyone in chat riled up. Then, I also wanted to just try out JDCAPI (https://github.com/seuntie900/jdcapi) by Seuntjie. With his api, I was able to build this simple game within an hour. I cannot say enough about how great his work is. So, thank you both!

Now to answer a couple questions that everyone keeps asking me.

1. No, I have nothing to gain. I want nothing. I am GIVING you clams. You are welcome.
2. No, I don't want to tip you so you have money to play the game. Silly asses. However, I do want to clam the right to "Sniper Bullets" because I got a laugh when I came up with it.
3. If you see anyone thanking Deb for her contribution to the game, know that it's an inside joke. Come to the chat room and ask, someone will tell you the funny story.
4. Yes, you can donate to the BetSniper by using the /tip 32 Amount command. Please type /tip in chat if you need more information.
5. No, I am not for hire to make you a bot. Blurt out a cool idea and I might do it.

Have fun. See you at Just-Dice.com
