Now that you are paying back Gigamining contracts, will you finally tell us what you are going to do with those contracts that have not been claimed?

I doubt that the board-members only have an advisory capacity. What's the point then? Board-members should have full voting rights for any major decisions...

What's the point in voting if the board members together own less than 50% of shares? Friedcat and his team control majority of shares and votes and can do whatever they want with the company.

Remember when we all worshipped Friedcat?  LOL
Remember when people were worried ASICMINER could 51% the network?

Remember when people were arguing if the IPO is legit?

From the stats page it looks like things are turning back on. I don't have 200GHs so I can't ask for private server so I'm just watching the public stats page. Can anyone confirm if things are indeed moving?

Things are starting to come back online after 12 hours of fighting with DNS and proxies.  Luck has been terrible all night (not just from DDoS, just bad luck in general), which isn't helped by the pool speed dropping 50% during the attacks.

Are the attackers trying to contact pool owners?  Any demands, or is this just an attack?

No demands, no gloating, nobody even taking credit.

I'm responsible for the attacks. Eleuthria didn't send me a silver usb miner, so I said, everyone will pay!

haha,   i think im about to order some silver ones off ebay...

I can sell you couple silver heat sinks Smiley Bought 9 miners, got 7 blue and 2 silver ones. Replased heat sinks with bigger ones.

So what's the profitability on this?

Seems like one of the better run groups...

doesn't matter... it's closed to new investors...

And old ones too, if you don't jump through legal hoops.

We are glad to announce that we decided to continue distributing more Block Erupter USBs
as a limitation-free extension of the coupon plan in the last two months. Besides for mining alone,
at the coupon price level they serve perfectly as gifts as well as mining introduction devices.

What's the price if I don't have a coupon and just want to buy 50?

I'd like to know that too. The only European reseller is adding 60% margin + shipping.

At least they should be available through more resellers. Monopoly isn't good.

James, when are you going to tell us what you are going to do with the contracts that are not claimed?

My suggestion is that you donate the accumulated bitcoins to charity.

Well they wouldn't be competition if they were sleeping would they  Grin

What's with this "we can only ship to EU" from them about?

Totally wrong threat for this, but I answer anyway. I think it's because they are based in Finland and keeping the business inside EU is just so much easier. No hustling with customs or VAT or "declared values of packages" or anything like that. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_market

*snip*
I spent the last few days evaluating various firmware/hw builds for different chip interface options in order to determine the best.
The decision has been made and i now ordered my prototype boards.
I'll provide new drawings later so you can design your own cooling solutions.

Does it not say in OP that adequate cooling solution will be provided ?

Could you please clarify: it will or will not.

i assume he meant this with regard to fans and the like.

I think there will be some basic cooling solution included, but because some people were asking about mounting holes for water cooling blocks, he is providing drawings for those purposes.

Is YOUR dividend address listed?

My address is not on the list, and I can't be called a big shareholder with 20 direct shares Tongue

I wonder how much the shares are spread, ie how many different people are actually holding them. Any way to get a rough feeling about that?

EDIT: I guess one could track the transactions that are paying dividends and counts the number of addresses

Yeah, good idea, that'd work.

Looking at some of the auctions here some IPO people still hold thousands of shares. There'd be dozens who'd have a few hundred, then on down to the folk like me who got in a bit later. With the 1/100 pass throughs there'd now be a few thousand shareholders, I'd imagine, though strictly speaking 1/100 pass throughs aren't really AM shares.

Literally, owners of PT shares aren't shareholders, the issuers of PT's instead are.

It seems that many people here have forgot Bitfountain, which is major shareholder of ASICMINER. Friedcat doesn't need to think about future of ASICMINER that much, because he, and who ever owns Bitfountain with him, have gathered bucketloads of BTC in dividents from ASICMINER. What ever he plans do to next, he doesn't need to do it through ASICMINER company, he has enough capital in Bitfountain to do what ever he thinks is good for him and other owners of Bitfountain. As a major shareholder, Bitfountain can close ASICMINER down any time they want to and continue operations within Bitfountain.

I'm trying to understand the photos of the USB Erupter. Am I correct that one side has a colored metal plate, and the other side has exposed electronic components? Because I also see photos where one side is components, and other side has heatsink fins visible. Me confused Sad

Those pictures with heatsink fins are from prototype batch, Emerald, that has green board. The batch now on sale is Emereld, it has blue board and metal plate with bitcoin logo as heatsink.

It's not 0.5 Amps per miner, it's 0.51 Watts.   Cool
I'm afraid you are mistaken.

....waiting for next excuse

Seriously?  Yours isn't even going out in this first batch...  Why all the hate?

when im told that there are packaged up, before noon, but not mailed out, i get suspicious.  when i read he gets 3 miners that turn into 5 and then him showing 8 mining, i get more suspicious.  either they are not packaged or hes mining with the 19 extra and no one is asking questions?  the packaging should have been done, running out of ink?  No fucking pens in your house, doesnt own a car, but doesnt call a cab or have a friend drive him or fuckin walk.  face it, all the signs of a scam are here.  i started getting worried when he said he hurt his ankle and its been excuses ever since.

Remember that you have escrow, John K, who has his real identity that he will reveal to you if he scams you. You can track him down and broke his knees if he tries to run with your miners Smiley
