In my opinion, you should t be joining a bounty unless you at least partially believe in a project. If you believe in a project, the team deserves the chance to have some time to develop their product after ICO. I plan to hold any bounty rewards I get for 6 months + to see where they go. It was “free” to get them, so I will let it play out to see what happens to the prices.

Re: Blocking articles on Medium.

Ive had the same problem with Medium. Articles that I had written about ICOs couldn’t be linked. I tried searching around a little bit and my best guess is that they see it as advertising. Steemit is what I use now and I haven’t had any issues there. There is also a pretty good crypto following on the site, so it’s a good alternative to Medium.

Re: Bear market end or not?
by

on 12/06/2018, 12:05:34 UTC
Especially with crypto, this is hard to predict. Most of 2018 has been a downtrend after the meteoric rise of most of the coins in late 2017. There has been a dip over the last couple of days, but the market has been relatively stable for at least a few weeks now. We need to continue to wait, but I see a bull run occurring before the end of 2018.

Now isn’t the time, but I agree that a bull run is coming. Before the end of 2018, I expect bitcoin to run back above $10,000 and altcoins to get closer to all time highs. The market has been relatively stable for a few months and has been consolidating during that time. Patience will pay off for everyone

Re: Bounty hunters should be paid in ETH
by
Tlongbottom
on 11/06/2018, 22:03:58 UTC
I think this would be a good solution for everyone involved. It would continue to promote the project the same way that bounties are currently done. Hunters would gain something of value in the form of ETH that is tradable right away. Investors would be protected because they wouldn’t have to worry about all the bounty rewards being sold at prices below the ICO price. It makes a ton of sense and I would like to see projects move that way.

Re: Will Ripple Price Reach $ 5 Late This Year?
by
Tlongbottom
on 11/06/2018, 20:03:49 UTC
I don’t see it happening. Ripple would have to essentially 10x from its current price to reach $5. In that case, the market cap would be above $220 billion. This is about two times higher than bitcoin as it stands today. I think that we will see a bull run yet this year, but I don’t see any way that #3 coin in market cap will 10 times in price.

Re: Why is bounty not an investment?
by
Tlongbottom
on 11/06/2018, 05:03:10 UTC
You are absolutely right that you are investing when it comes to bounties. Your time is the one thing that you can’t get more of in this life. Making the right choices with your bounty decisions can be as important as the coins you spend fiat on. Spending time on bounties that don’t meet there soft cap essentially takes your time and throws it away. It’s very important to know what you are getting into before spending time on bounties.

The crypto space is so volatile that it doesn’t even surprise me anymore. I believe that it will start going up in a big way in the near future. It was been relatively stable for a couple of month now, so it was just time for a dump Smiley. Keep holding on and we will all be reward in the future when the next run starts.

There is a risk for sending your data anyway for any reason. It makes sense for large transactions were you are sending fiat in exchange for tokens. There are anti-money laundering laws that go along with this. For bounty programs and especially airdrops, it is crazy to be that people would send their personal documents to projects that could potentially misuse your information. Stay safe out there, folks.

Re: Are you in favor or against pools for private sales?
by
Tlongbottom
on 10/06/2018, 21:44:54 UTC
I think pools in general are a good idea. It allows smaller investors to get better pricing by pulling all of their money together. The downside comes from the potential for scams and dumping after the ICO ends. When bonuses are super high, it lowers the effective price and people that buy later in the sale will get dumped on after the listing. I wouldn’t participate in one, but I’m glad people have the option.

Re: Short term Trading investment or Bounty campaigns?
by
Tlongbottom
on 10/06/2018, 15:54:36 UTC
To answer that question, you have to ask yourself what you are looking for. Getting involved with bounties doesn’t require any investment outside of your time. I think this is a good option for someone to start understanding how wallets work, reading white papers, and understanding what makes a good project. If you want to get involved with a financial investment, think long and hard about the projects you want to invest in. Lucky for you, prices are pretty low right now if you go that route.

Re: Do you listen to technical analysis?
by

on 10/06/2018, 14:51:25 UTC
Technical analysis is an interesting piece of the crypto trading puzzle. It doesn’t work as well as it does in traditional markets, but it does provide possibilities for the future based on historical performance. Technical analysis on a micro scale such as an hourly chart isn’t very helpful, but looking at daily and weekly charts provides overall perspective on how the market is operating.

Re: How can I choose a best Bounty ?
by

on 08/06/2018, 22:42:09 UTC
Bounties should be chosen like ICOs or altcoins. You need to research what you are getting into to avoid wasting your time. Follow the social media accounts, discuss on telegram, read the white paper etc. the good projects will have a solid plan and defined goal. Bad projects will have huge reward pools and the only telegram discussion topics are on the bounty itself.

I don’t think the market has recovered, but it has stablized. I guess is that it is going to stay relatively flat for the next month or two before taking off towards the end of 2018. It isn’t going to be as crazy as late 2017, but I do think it will pay off for faithful holders.

Re: What if every country has its own crypto currency
by

It would be a lot like fiat currencies. If each country had its own then the governments would be heavily involved and they would be centralized like current fiat systems. One of the main advantages to cryptocurrencies is the ability to pay any one any way at anytime. You lose a lot of that if with each country having their own.

Re: Uneducated people join Cryptocurrency?
by

There are plenty of uneducated people in the space. If you hang out in any telegram chats, it’s clear to see. That said, I would argue That most people that are involved want to learn and understand what is going on with the coins. A little enthusiasm and effort can take some from uneducated to educated over the course of time.
