Re: Any knowledgable thoughts on how to create a healthy environment for ICOs?
by

perhaps it is best to establish a decentralized ICO platform which holds investors crypto's which cannot be withdrawn unless certain criteria are met(inverse KYC/proof of project as an example). not only gives security for investors money project developer can do some free/cheap advertising to the platform. sometimes inverse KYC of the ICO raters is not enough I remember Hashcard whom inverse KYC is positive yet it turns out to be a scam.

That is a good proposition.
There is another way. Why not create a crowdsale smart contract that allows to withdraw funds only when the team reaches certain milestones? The decision is made by voting of 50-70% of contributors?
If the project team dissapears than the proposition could be made by any of the contributors to refund the investment. The same logic: 50-70% of contributors vote and the refund is processed.

Now. There could be more complicative situations when the team will be agains the refund or possible attack by competitors project for instance (guys who will want this current project from our example to go bankrupt).
The possible solution is to allow team achieve small results and withdraw small amounts. But if you ask to withdraw 3 times and 3 times 50-70% of contributors did not vote for it (during a month) than any of the contributors can ask create refund proposal and vote for it.

What do you think about this way of fund management by the contributors community?

Re: Most impact that makes you invest in an ICO !?

Which has the biggest impact on you that makes you invest in an ICO or not?

  • Idea/Concept
  • Team (And if this one, what do you look at?)
  • Advisor
  • Partner
  • Progress of the project
  • Github
  • Medium articles
  • Size of Community (Twitter, Telegram, etc.)
  • Marketing Concept (Design of website etc.)
  • Comments on Bitcointalk
  • Others

It is better for an ICO to have an MVP or even a working product that is already used by somebody as a service or a product. The target audience should not only be ready to pay but paying already. The tokenomics - how the token will be used within the ecosystem makes sense. Even if all those things are in place the team should worth trust and be ready to implement the project to a point of time when it will be used by big audience enough for you as an investor to make profit.

I would suggest you not to invest right now into ICO due to  current market situation. The ROI in ETH is not quite well even for projects with their own blockchains. The situation may change any time. Lets keep track on what is going in the industry.

1. Have a clear investment strategy
2. Make use of market trends
3. Always be confident
4. Accept risk

Agree 100%. Staying patient is very important because market moves help experienced investors profit on mistakes of unexperience investors.

Investment is always a risk especially if you are talking about crypto. It was said and written hunderds of times that one should not invest more than  he/she can afford to loose.
Crypto and ICOs are high risk investment because once you put money into it it is hard to control or affect what will happen than. You have to rely on the project team or the industry trend. But in most of the cases you can do nothing but stare at what is happening to your balance.

Re: ETH Fight Club: Ethereum based game - provide your feedback please

What will it take for you to make the initial prototype?
What do you need to understand that you need to start development of this project?

We need to get more people into discussion to understand if the idea worth implementing right now. We have enough resources but as any other startup we need community support. We want to understand if the idea of tournaments for project tokens is interesting for the community and has future. All this without community support makes not sense.

Our mid term goal is to get 1000 members in telegram group without any airdrops or bounty. This should be enough to test and organize game play on a certain level.

So what we propose is the following: if you want to get project tokens besides bounties and in a more close and gamified way (like during fight tournaments) we can develop it and improve alone with you. All we need right now is a bit of support and feedback.

Can you create a prototype of the fight process so we can test and get a better understanding of what you are doing?

Will there be a reward for fights only during tournaments?

We had an idea of allowing winners take some of the tokens loosers have after the fight on the arena (outside the tournaments). Not sure if this is a good idea. That might be a topic of discussion with the community. If you will want to dump some coins or win some that might be a good idea. But we are talking here about things that might have value in the real world and having somebody loose important stuff inside the game might have negative effect on the community. The idea about having a chance to win during the tournament without loosing anything looks way better now. What do you think about that?

Provide a bit more information about the tournament process:
Will anybody be able to participate in tournament?
Will there be unlimited number of participants?
How the reward will be distributed?
How many participants will receive tokens? Only first three places?
Do you plan to do only individual fights or will there be group fights as well?

So I have been reading tweets and other media outlets which are predicting that the BTC will have a huge surge by December. Have anyone come across this and I don't know if I should be excited or that's another bubble waiting to be needle pricked.

It might be a fake price growth to squizz the rest of the market holders and kick out short positions.

THE ETH Fight Club

Looking for a feedback on the following idea.

We want to create a game based on Fight Club idea where you fight other players for tokens. You train on arenas, fight other players and then take participate in tournaments to win token reward of various projects. Cool

Projects carry out championships dedicated to their release, stages of crowdsale to attract community attention to their events. Shocked

Players can choose what tournament to participate in and therefore show the interest of community to projects. The more experience players want to participate in your tournament the more attention of the community you probably have. Grin

Each player can have additional items and creatures to improve skill sets and stats. Wink

We want to implement the economy of the project in the following way:
1) The most active community members can be tournament organizers and get percentage of rewards.
2) Artists can participate in creation of items and creatures and get sales commission.
3) Players can organize marketplaces, manage them and get percentage on sales.

Your propositions are welcome.

If you think this idea worth a while join project telegram group and let`s discuss it. https://t.me/ethfc

First thousand players will surely get benefits from early bird participation.

How do you plan to pick up project for the tournaments?

In my opinion, you can tokenize each of us, each person has a value.
Examples of using such tokens are obvious.
I could accept payments for my own token services and would be happy to pay for coffee at the token of my favorite coffee shop.
and you?

Monetize your time upfront to know what type of your work is necessary. You can have different types of tokens for each type of work you do.
