MOST of these same people would have sold the second it started climbing anyway; they merely lost out a little sooner.
I keep hearing this yet I know plenty of holders who have been holding since $100 or less. It depends a lot on whether you got Bitcoin because of knowledge and conviction or not.

I'd argue there are less people with that conviction (which I agree is necessary), and thus there will still be more people that would've sold anyway.

I see the same thing all the time on Reddit; it's SO easy to look back with hindsight being 20/20, but REMEMBER:

MOST of these same people would have sold the second it started climbing anyway; they merely lost out a little sooner.

As the greed/fear index shifts, so too will people's assets.

This creates opportunity to pivot into BTC.

Earnings are irrelevant if you aren't investing and leveraging at least a set percentage of that income.

It's not what you make, it's what you save (and by proxy, invest).

Literally just pay attention to the YTD, and ignore the daily, weekly, and monthly volatility; it's signal noise/irrelevant.

All the charts show BTC going up.

Anyone that's held, is up 70%+ over last July.

Re: Bitcoin ensures freedom and protection among dire situations

Bitcoin simply exists and people who can take advantage of its innovative technology and blockchain, can have borderless transactions, have their own banks - only with non-custodial, open-source wallets, and get privacy and anonymity with good practice. If they can be awaken and realize massive issues from inflation of fiat currency, they can choose bitcoin, buy and hold it for profit.

Bitcoin is only helpful for people who are ready to own it and use it, but it is not helpful for everyone especially who denies Bitcoin.

This is it right here.

The true power of Bitcoin lies in the combination of its decentralization/blockchain element coupled with self-custody. Self-custody is still incredibly unpopular among the general population, and that's ok. BTC continues to climb. Everyone in it now and HODLing will be handsomely rewarded with true wealth.

BTC is everything money should be, and more.

BTC is crypto, but not all crypto is BTC.

Gold is currency, cash is currency; but cash is not gold.

The difference is intrinsic.

Re: What does working for yourself really mean?
by
Trout Mask
on 30/06/2025, 11:33:41 UTC
I work for myself, and I would and could never go back to a traditional employment position. Once I got used to making lump sums in amounts bigger than my previous paychecks, it's hard to rationalize it even with the volatility. For me, working for myself means prioritizing/managing my time, and investing wisely so I eventually don't have to do anything I don't want to do, and I can just continue to both build and live off of my wealth.

I have friends with six-figure incomes whom are house poor. I have friends that make less than half of that, but manage to save and invest more than the above group. The older I get, the more I see the wisdom in "It's not what you make, it's what you save".

For me, I'm saving/managing my time and making more money, so it's a no-brainer.

Any form of passive investment no matter how small the return is always better than leaving your money under your bed or in the bank to depreciate.

This is why I've always been for (and suggested) dividend investing.
