Re: What’s your take on Ethereum ecosystem ?

luckyspirit is correct when pointing out how much better the Solana platform is than ETH, imho. The future for the Ethereum ecosystem could be compared to the USA currently trying to maintain their grip on world power, it's slipping away and many people find this obvious.

I don't like Ethereum, it has become very centralized and they developed all these L2s to take money instead of solving scaling on L1. Solana is so much better and faster, the only advantage Ethereum has is that it is older. But that advantage won't last because it is not as good as Bitcoin, so this will not help it retain its lead over other altcoins.

Do upgrades to the ecosystem really matter much when the fees are so high most people cannot affordably use ETH or any of the tokens?
They don't. Sometimes they lower fees, but it is very little and too late. Many people got hurt for using ETH.

Re: Think I've found an edge, now what?

You are either a scammer or had a nice run of luck. Since you are "still in college and currently studying" consider being happy with your current gains, and don't be so greedy.

Hi guys. Long time lurker, first time poster.

Over the course of the 12 months, I think I've found an edge with soccer betting. Specifically goal totals and team totals. I mostly target full match, second half totals, and specific team totals. In these 12 months, I've managed to turn a starting bankroll of $4,000 into a little over $180,000.

The issue I am facing now is that most of the legal bookies I have used, including but not limited to: bet365, betano, betway, fanduel, draftkings etc, have limited my bets to pennies or a few dollars per bet, even for the well known leagues. I decided to give a few popular crypto bookies a try, and those have limited me even faster. The only bookie that has not limited me is pinnacle, but they have been giving me issues with cashing out and are consistently delaying my withdrawals/asking for documentation.

So the question is, what would you do in my situation? Please do not say Vegas because I don't think I am at that level yet, especially considering I am still in college and currently studying. I'm mostly an introvert as well and spend 18 hrs a day on the computer. I find myself constantly looking for good betting opportunities and think I could do this full time in the future, I just don't know how. With bookies clearly limiting winners, I'm not sure where to turn. I've read about Haralabos Voulgaris and how he used to have "beards" place bets for him, including Floyd Mayweather, but I don't know how I would go about doing that.

Any advice would be appreciated. I am mostly just looking for advice or stories from people in a similar situation. I'm not winning at a 100% win rate either, but out of lets say 4 bets, I am consistently able to win 3/4. Some days I would even just place 1 "safe bet", and if that safe bet won, I would call it a day, or if it lost, I would double down on the next and take my winnings and run. The only issue is that many of the bookies I have used have limited me to the point where even if I lost just $500, I would be unable to place $1,000 on the next bet. It's super frustrating, especially with a bankroll of over $180,000. Yet I was just scrolling through sites like Ladbrokes and Stake, and I see some people placing $100,000+ bets per match. How is this possible?

Are these people sponsored or something?

Please keep discussion in this forum as I am unable to respond to DMs as a newbie. I do have a Telegram account for those looking to have a more in depth chat, but I am not sure if I am allowed to post it here (same username as BitcoinTalk).

Re: Have you ever recommended a crypto casino to a gambler offline?

If you wear the signature of any casino on the forum that has proven themselves to be serious about their reputation, have you ever made the effort to recommend them to someone outside the forum who is a gambler and has knowledge about cryptocurrency but has never tried using cryptocurrency to gamble? What was their reaction? I like to know if they were excited by the idea or did not even consider it. If they started using the casino on your recommendation, did you check back with them to know if they continued?

Yes, I did less than a year ago, he seemed really interested at the time, but probably never signed up since he really loves to go to real casinos offline. I was attempting to tell him how generous the bonuses can be at some big crypto casinos.

Why would I (or anyone) spend $25 to get a VCC, isn't that way far above average market prices - even without KYC?

...so first you screen the coins, how? You get signals from somewhere? Where?

If I tell you it will invite competition.   Cheesy
First, every actively traded market bounces. Second, It is very possible to make more from short-term/small moves than trying to hit home runs. Entry points can be difficult to time, you can usually start buying slow and get a better deal asap using limit orders. With experience you can get a feel for when it's time to buy more aggressively, due to a legit chance of missing a big one. Learn to actually Buy Low & Sell High and please don't be stuck thinking HODL is always a good plan. Good luck with your bright future.

Bitcoin mining and exchanges are all closed and/or very heavily regulated in China. Any large effort to donate BTC would probably be a waste and a chance for the promoters to run with the money.

Do you often think about creating new, useful opportunities or do you tend to follow the crowd and get in late on the hottest projects?

I tried both.
I started new company and tried to create and offer new digital product to the public but without success.
Now, I feel it's much more easy just to follow the crowd and search for the hottest projects, much less stress any way Smiley

Sometimes making your own path can really be difficult though the reward for those who make it can be staggering. There are risks and there are rewards, of course. In case, we don't make it on our own, there are now many opportunities that we can follow for more chances of success. The most important thing is that we are doing something which hopefully can give us what we want.

While I agree it is difficult, we are lucky to live during a time with so much innovation and opportunities to go in new directions.

No, but people who knowingly promote scams deserve to end up broke, hungry and all alone for Christmas, imho.

Did anyone look at the article in the OP? The toy looks like a Star Trek spaceship, LOL.

I don't see any "nacelles".  They are a key design in the Star Trek universe - they separate the ship from the dangerous radiation resulting from their faster than light travel.

Just a fun comment, like yours.  Smiley

You are correct about the design, one thing that Star Trek and sex have in common is that some imagination can add to the experience.
