I use Bank>Dwolla>MT Gox to transfer funds normally takes 3 or so days but is cheap.  Just log into MT Gox and see what it supports for transfers. You'll probably have to pay for expediency.

As far as the value of BTC I value it at ~$15 which is where it was before the whole Cyprus debacle and the recently acquired publicity. If it goes down to $15 I don't see it going down any further. You'll have to judge the market. There is never a perfect time to buy or sell, it is all an opinion.

Horrible move by MtGox.

Down for emergency maintenance because we're being DDOS'd and overwhelmed with traffic: fine.
Down because we want to control trading: incredibly foolish.

Hopefully they get a clue and reopen as soon as they can handle traffic. In the meantime they should retract this "cooldown" statement immediately.

keep in mind this is a "currency" not stock. It is not a stock exchange stopping the orders it is a currency exchange. The fact the others are not following suit shows other exchanges do not believe what MT Gox believes and they still operating. Because others are still operating and MT. Gox is not, it is causing people to transfer their funds and panic sell at another exchange. I think this is hurting more then helping. It should be all in or nothing.

If it were more than just MT Gox then I obviously would not have a gripe.

The best time to buy will be after MTGox opens back up for trading. There will be another panic sell after everyone gains access to place orders. If you have btc in MTGox... send it to another exchange and sell. It will be cheaper tomorrow.

To answer the question it opens back up 4/12/2013 @ 02:00 UTC

Umm... wtf? I cannot buy or sell bitcoins? While other exchanges trading as normal?

So far I have lost ~$40/BTC because the exchange says it wants to try to stabilize the market. How could this be allowed? If this happened outside of Bitcoins we'd see a class action lawsuit.

I had sent BTC to my account a couple days before GLSBE was shut down. I was unable to invest them in any stocks. I did submit a ticket when the site was still available to do so. How can get my BTC back?

The transfer was on 2012-10-03 @ 22:25:44 I have the transfer details.

I haven't been on in a while. Pretty much since the whole thing started with GLBSE getting shut down. Right before it got shut down I transfered some BTC to my GLBSE account. I've found the transaction number. I have not received this BTC back. I did file a claim while there was still a GLBSE site available for claims. How can I get this back?
