Re: Why hate realistic traders?

It is because people don't like when you tell them the truth.
They prefer that you sugarcoat it or give them false information over
Being sincere with them on the reality involved in trading or investing.
That is why they fall victim of traders that only lie about having best trading
Strategy even though those people are purely not being truthful.

Re: Social media has benefitted Cryptocurrency, here is how.

Another instance is the airdrop fever, the airdrop have been ongoing for years now but social media through telegram and Ton blockchain has caused a mass participation of airdrops lately compared to previous times and to crown it all, telegram which is one of the biggest social media platform have even got their own exchange and wallet where it's users can easily purchase Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
Indeed, airdrop blew up recently due to social media adoption, a lot of people including myself got into raindrop this year. And I can only imagine how much certain people who have known the game of airdrop before social media blew it up have made from it.

📌 2 Ways To know If An Airdrop Is potentially Legit or Scam
by
Uhochi
on 27/08/2024, 14:46:06 UTC
With so many airdrop projects popping up on a daily basis, it can be frustrating to differentiate the legit ones from scans.  But here are two ways I use to gauge the potential legit ness of an airdrop:

1. Twitter Verification: Whenever I see a project I rush to their twitter handle to check if their account is verified. If it's not, no problem, it may indicate they're still building their presence and working on verification soon.

So I give them time to build their account but number 2 has to be in check no matter the timeframe they just started with the project because legit people has to be with the project from day 1.

2. Followers and Following: I look out for the accounts following the project, if about the first 5 of the followers are big, credible and verified it's a sign. I also observe if these people have mentioned the Airdrop project in any post or made a post about it.

Also I check their follower count, engagement on twitter, and content of the accounts. Then I look at the accounts the project is following and I repeat my research. Are they big, credible and popular in the crypto space?  Have they made any posts or mentioned the project before?

For a start this will give me an edge to make a decision whether to invest my time and resources in the project or let go.

How do you determine if a project is potentially legit or scam?

Re: How has this bad economic affected marriage ?

For the bachelors/spinsters, are you grateful been single at this moment?
Even for a single like me it's tough, it may be tougher for married people and families but it's not so easy for a single. Yes, as a single you can manage yourself and work harder for a better future but in the time of hustling you find yourself crying a lot. There are still bills like gas, food(very expensive), transportation, upkeep etc to make.

The joy is that no child is crying and holding you by the leg to feed them but you know how hard it is for you to feed properly and get by on a daily basis. So, ok summary the economy is tough for a single, I'm grateful I don't have extra cost like child upkeep but even upkeep for myself is financially and mentally draining.

Re: how to inform your family about your source of income
by
Uhochi
on 20/08/2024, 11:26:26 UTC
I agree.  If your family members are those that see every online business as illegal then it's better to look for a branded name to call yourself or a word to describe your work. You can also tell maybe one or two people you trust to understand and not tell the rest about your real source of income.

Then, I agree with not telling them the exact amount you earn, instead, give them a figure range probably lower than what you earn to avoid unnecessary monetary attention. Also, if you stay with your family members who may not understand your kind of work, try making use of the hub sometimes or going to a friend's sometimes. So they won't be seeing you indoors on your laptop all day, which can increase the questioning.

Re: How does new sports seasons affect your general schedule?

Most games are played on Friday, Saturdays and Sundays which are free working days most families spend at home doing less of the office work. How that disturbs people's schedule is what I can't relate with because typically, the average 90 minutes of a full football match is too small a time to do so.

📌 TIPS TO AVOID COMMON CRYPTO AIRDROP SCAMS
by

📌 TIPS TO AVOID COMMON CRYPTO AIRDROP SCAMS.

It's no news that most of the crypto airdrop projects have been a scale scheme and lots of scammers are taking advantage of the large telegram community. No one is above mistake so it's wise that anyone engaging in this airdrops or have interest to start should take of these guides

⚫Never share your seed phrase or exchange passwords with anyone, like never NO EXCEPTIONS not even your bestie.

⚫ If you receive an airdrop of a token you have never heard of, leave them in your wallet or disable them. Don’t transact with those tokens as they are a type of scam called "dust attack"

⚫ Admins of Projects will never DM you first. Don't be fooled by any "I am an admin message"

⚫ Always check official Project groups when you are uncertain about a DM you received and someone can help you out.

⚫ Trustwallet/ Metamask/ PanCakeSwap don't have active customer service. No one will ever contact you from these platforms, except scammers.

⚫Be mindful of the websites you connect your wallet to. Always do some research first to make sure it's legit.

⚫ If you receive a DM that you won a contest and have to connect your wallet is probably a scam.

Following these tips can help you avoid common scams in the crypto space. What else would you add?

Re: Financial Literacy for kids
by
Uhochi
on 08/08/2024, 18:11:45 UTC

Indeed, it is crucial to catch them young, at a young age their minds are sharp and can retain information better, so they should be prepared for financial independence and literacy. Teaching children early helps in the long run to assist in improving the economic stance of a country. Because some grown ups that don't know how to create wealth end up increasing the rate of unemployed youths. While those that don't know how to manage wealth end up misusing funds and causing societal havoc. So indeed equipping children with financial literacy so they grow into it, is a must responsibility for parents and adults around children.

Re: Telegram records millions of new users due to Crpto mining.
by
Uhochi
on 02/08/2024, 11:00:14 UTC
It was confirmed by the CEO of Telegram, Pavel Durov O'zbekisondagi that since Thursday to date about 13.8 million users recently joined the app and about 11.6m of them are from Nigeria, and from my understanding it is based on the recent ongoing mining activities on telegram that's made lots of Nigerians to flod the app. Recently Notcoin which is a new Cryptocurrency from Ton blockchain and was mined through telegram recently launched and lots of people who took it seriously benefited from it. Now those who doubted Notcoin where shocked at the price of it's launch ($0.0144) with a market cap of about $766million.

This has triggered those who missed out on Notcoin to now turn to other coins mined on telegram and thus it lead to the massive inflow of users stated above. Millions of Nigerians are now mining several coins on telegram, one thing about Nigerians is that they'll always seize an opportunity especially when they've got prove that they could benefit from a project and the launch of Notcoin was an eye-opener for lots of people.

Well the government might be against Cryptocurrency but currently the youths have totally embarrassed it cause lots of people are making profits from it therefore it would be quite difficult for the Nigerian government to totally ban Cryptocurrency cause Nigerians would always find a way to go about it.
But then everyone needs to be careful cause there would lots of scam sites on telegram claiming to be mining projects and lots of ignorant people would lose funds to scammers
Indeed, Nigrians need to be careful because a lot of scammers have seen a means to scam people through telegram. It's always one project or the other, with series of tasks and at the end the miner needs gas fee in ton to withdraw. Purchasing 0.14 ton is 2k.

Imagine when a project requires 0.5 ton as gas fee that's like 6k. Then people go ahead to pay these gas fees with hope from earning on the project listing just for the project to list dust.  We must research these projects thoroughly before I'm baking on them in order to avoid heartbreak.

The economy is quite bad in my country. Price of goods are on the increase on a daily base. An average family struggle to feed 2 Square means.  The dollar exchange rate is not favouring our currency at all.

It's actually crazy but we hope and pray that the people we voted into power to be out leaders and government of the people for the people will have the heart to care and effect changes that will make things better.

Re: Why you should choose digital assets over physical assets.
by
Uhochi
on 24/07/2024, 12:08:23 UTC
All your points are realistic and true but I particularly like point #2. I always used to be bothered with the idea of having a physical investment like a building in a foreign land.  Because when you age and choose to relocate back home you can't move these buildings with you.

And of course you can sell them but what if you have this connection with the property that you don't feel like selling it. But with digital assets you don't have to worry too much about selling your assets when you want to relocate because you literally move with them all-day everyday.

Also, the fact that it is not subject to government tax issues is a high relief because this our country can come after someone's hard work like village people tipped them.

Re: How to mine merit as a beginner
by

on 20/07/2024, 10:41:47 UTC
I don't think "mine" is the word, maybe "earn" would be more appropriate. Because it's not like you play a game to get merit or perform surveys. Two ways I know to earn merit is by;
✔️contributing thoughtfully and organically to posts on the forum
✔️ Creating and sharing valuable opinions on the forum.

AI generated content is frowned at, poor quoting and inappropriate responses are also frowned at and deleted. So yeah, you get to earn merit over time when you've built trust and authority by contributing reasonably to the forum discussion. So keep building here, sooner or later, I believe you'll earn merits ☺️

Come on Grin Grin Grin. Advice from someone who regularly uses AI?
It wouldn’t hurt you to listen to your lessons yourself, and it’s not necessary to tick off every post, especially since you don’t stick to them.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5456516.msg64287970#msg64287970

Always before teaching someone, look at yourself and re-read the advice of users.
Because it was marked as AI content does not necessarily mean it is AI content, AI tools can be wrong. I'm not going to deny using AI tools to correct spelling and grammar errors or enhance content but the ideas and a while lot of the content is mine. Also, I already explained this to a moderator and have stopped using tools like Grammarly for contents here self.

And  you know it would be hurt also for you to be a nice person, I always new to the platform and hard to learn how things work around here. I learnt and have adjusted, do you have a problem with that dear legendary member? Was it really worth the stress to go look up my profile and get out my post?

You know I thought legendary members here are exemplary people to follow but I guess not all. Please learn to correct newbies in a kind way, you don't have to bash anyone, you are a legendary member with lots of merits, what would you gain talking me down? I've had my share of rocky start on this platform and I'm still learning so yes I've taken my advice before giving one out. Thank you

The first one reminds me of my friend who overanticipated the Pixelverse airdrop and now has 0 token allocation. I don't know how broken he's going to be right now, but Pixelcerse did him dirty because he had lots of points from participating in the airdrop. I'm sure his morale is down by now.
A lot of people's morale is down. I kept an open mind for all this airdrop like anything they want to do they should bring it on, that's how I'm still ok now that Pixel verse did their thing because I farmed it too.

Please tell your friend to tone down his anticipation for all these airdrops because their sole interest is to benefit from their project not just share money with people who participated in the airdrop.

Tips for Airdrop Crypto Space
by
Uhochi
on 17/07/2024, 14:15:44 UTC
It can get overwhelming in the crypto space, especially if you started with airdrops. The wait can be crazy and undefined, so here I've listed out some tips

⚫ Don't over-anticipate any Airdrop - Most times people enter the crypto space with airdrops and they over anticipate the launching dates. They are always hoping on the listing to the point that they have heart aches. Don't over anticipate airdrop listings dates, go with the pace to avoid heartbreak.

⚫ Don't lean solely on the money coming from an airdrop - It's understandable that some people are hoping on airdrop money because the economy is tough. But to avoid hurting your mental health it's better to get a paying job that has consistent pay no matter how little and consider airdrop as a passive source of income.

⚫ Don't over hype any project - The way some people hype some airdrops can be crazy. They bet 100% on it referring a lot of their family and friends just for it to either crash or do well. Don't be part of those that overhype any project before you gather enemies for yourself when the project flops.

⚫ Don't blame yourself for trying - Some people blame themselves for dedicating time and data to airdrop projects when a project flops. But It's ok to try, if it doesn't come out well was not your decision to make in the first place so cut yourself some slack.

⚫ Don't give up easily - Your first airdrop project trail might not pay but before you get to the 100th, one or two will surely pay. So keep going, you need to have a mindset shift in the crypto world. The crypto world is not one where you start with speed and expect millions in the first two months. Exercise patience, it's a marathon race not a sprint, so give every project its time to cook.

⚫ Don't hop on a project without proper research - Before you dedicate all your time and resource into gathering points for a project ensure to do in-depth research on the project. Research their founders, partners and everything you can get on them. Ensure to ask people that have been into airdrop long before you before starting. Don't just click on any link, ask questions.

Natural resources have been since  the days of our forefathers and they are still here now that you are. Nature has its way of creating balance, it has its way of replenishing the resources. No matter how much human mine gold there are many more yet to be discovered.

No matter how humans use water, some parts of some countries are still flooded. Not many even know about precious stones. Yes, oil is being mined and used a lot but there's still more yet to be discovered. Nature can balance itself, we just need to know how to manage these resources for our greater good.

Re: Are business partners worth it.

You might share the same vision with your business partner and along the line they adjust their vision to be slightly different from yours. They might start withdrawing their commitment, slack on fulfilling their responsibilities and lose communication with you. So then what do you do?

Humans are dynamic in nature. Their visions and ambitions can change anytime, I believe as a business person you should anticipate potential risk from any angle be it financially or your partner. Then have a thought out plan on how to adjust and run the business when a partner leaves before finding another one.
