That's a load of bull. They don't respond to discord/twitter/official customer-care ID/blogs either.

They suspend wallets at will.... your funds is locked for days ..even weeks... they dont give a rat's ass.
stop the FUD, funds were locked by some of the markets due to slow wallet upgrade, but not the devs.
i transferred my smart without any issue between wallet and cryptobridge few times

There is no problems at all with wallet, the Windows wallet it pretty slow to update towards the chain. Otherwise it's working just great!
Cryptopia delisted the coin and it is possible to withdraw it all from there.

The future look very promising for SMART, I've strong believe in it !

Is there any news or Uptades? Is the coin still available? somehow you can not see any market movements.

The coin is listed in coins markets which is still down, that's the reason there isn't any market movements.

Re: 27 mH ASUS RX 480 STRIX 8GB Ethereum mining BIOS
by

Hi
I bought a Asus Strix 480 8GB which is Getting hot on ethereum Mining the highest temp was 89c (with using msi afterburner) which is very hot i think as 480 do not go above 80c? Normally it is hitting 79c to 85c and its temp bounces it is not constant and fans are very load.

So what should i do is it a problem or not? should i get it replaced?

What are you GPU temps like before bios and after bios?

And how i can upgrade the bios and which bios and settings will be perfect as i read your thread.

Thanks in advance and please help me.

I've the same GOU, mine is around 64-77 Celsius, fan between 33-51% and running them Auto. Do you open case or a "normal"? I'm running in a Corsair Cube 540 with 3x120mm fans in front and two 140mm top and one back. Keeps it quite and cool to runt stock or overclocked in Afterburn.

Are you mining Ethereum? and when mining on Asus Strix 480 8gb your highest temp is %51? So are you using Afterburner settings for fans? or nothing catalyst settings.

Forgot to mention that i have not modified the bios yet, still running on default bios So after modifying bios will it bring down the GPU Temp?

Ethereum yes, temp at most 77 for a peak otherwise it keeps around 64-68C with max fan speed at 51% when it hits over 72C for those few short times. At the moment only Crimson but with Afterburn it is the same.

Currently not even undervolting but keeps a bit cooler it I does.

I'm not sure if I'm doing things right, but every time I tested swap 1750 timing to 2000 or used Ubermix 3.1 timing to 2000. After the restart of the PC, Windows gets 640x480 resolution and what I need to do is uninstall Crimson (running v 17.4.3) and install it again. After that I can rewrite to its orginal rom. Not get this to work at all, running it on a quite old motherboard, could it be the reason?

Have two ASUS ROG STRIX RX 480 8GB, running around 24MH/s stock each and both are Samsung memory

Appreciate all inputs to my problem here!

Something i noticed now when the light was off, is that one LED is RED, should it be so? - The LED that is green is closet to the mini-USB port, the other one is lightning RED...  Huh

The red LED should not lit, in my board it lit when no 12V from PSU. In normal operation the red LED is blinking. If the fan is on then maybe some part of the board not receive 12 V.

The fan starts as soon I connect the USB to my computer, even without the PSU. It recognize the board on both the Windows and the Linux laptop as shown in my pictures.

Marto, I tested on a fresh installed linux laptop now too... Turned on debug etc, maybe something of this gives you some ideas of the root cause of my problems?

But you think it is an PSU related problem..?

Ok then you do not have 12 Volts delivered to the board.
Please check it with voltmeter

I don't have an voltmeter at home, but can perhaps get one tomorrow. But I have tested with two different PSUs I have at home, I know that they both have been functioning and one have been in use not long time ago.. Is there any way to check there if there could be any problem with the HEX board?

The lights  are OK on the picture.
So now in order to test make a slush pool account.

Run proxy from Windows not from hexminer
then put your slush account miner data and try.

Okay, I've now an account with Slush's. Started it and started the proxy, using following address: stratum.bitcoin.cz:3333

But I still have the same error, feeling like an idiot that I can't get it to work..  Embarrassed

This is what it look like when starting the proxy:

From the proxy screen I see, that your user pass is wrong or you are using settings for different pool

Hi Marto,

BTCGuild doesn't require an specific password, or am I wrong here? - I know it says in the proxy log "Authorization required", why is that - a setting/line in the .ini file that's wrong for me?

But Marto, why is the LED red, what does that LED indicate usually and should I be green if all is OK?

Thanks in advance!

Pos and neg/gnd leads connected to the board the right way round, and taken from the psu the right way round? Have you got any photo's showing your setup which might answer silly little things like these?

I don't think it is possible to connect it wrong, here is the pic.

This is the settings I'm using, checked that the drivers is installed and working and also that HEXminer is using correct rate.

Please correct the Serial Bitrate to 115200 then the miner will work.

Since my board work with 9600 so i forget this, sorry. Then change the baudrate on windows device manager to 115200 & select that too on HEX Miner.

Edit:

I just found out that baudrate can increase & decrease your hash rate. Try each baud rate to find best performance Grin
115200 make my hash rate decrease.

I have tested both with 9600 and 115200, changed it within the Device Manager and in HEXminer, still the same error. The PSU is turned on and seem to be working, could try with another one as this PSu haven't been in use for a while..

Any other ideas if it isn't a PSU related problem?

Many thanks!

Hi all,

I hope someone can give me an answer / solution to my problem. I just received my HEX16A2 today and connected it to my Windows laptop to test it, but got issues with Hexminer. Following error message is being spammed in the entire miner_proxy. Tested both older and the newest version, but still the same error message. It seem to be able to connect to the pool but when start mining it doesn't seem to be able to get any further.

Have I configured it wrong or what could be the reason of these errors?  Huh

Thanks in advanced!

Did the driver installed correctly?
Did HEX MINER software setting point to correct com port & use right baud rate? Use the same baud rate that shown in device manager(default 9600).

Maybe you could post screen shot of device manager & HEX MINER 1.0.0.3
What i see in your mining_proxy seem normal.

I just received HEX16A2 & run it in WIN 7 64 bit. check my post on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=323727.msg4168053#msg4168053
