and https://pool.laurentiapool.org/#/ just shut down on I mined there for two years at least he closed before he ever hit a block.
--snip--

Oh I was not aware that Laurentiapool was closed now...  Undecided

What a shame, do we know the exact reason? Their website is unresponsive, did they sent some explanations?

(sorry for being a bit off-topic OP)

You can ask CK because he had a fee share, because he developed laurentia, anyway based on that idea after i asked CK for help but rejected (good thing that i managed because he will asked me a fortune), i lunched same SPLNS here: https://bitcoin.vkbit.com

You can ask CK about that since he developed Laurentia for other group/person. Based on that idea, I later reached out to CK for help, but he declined (which worked out, as he would have likely charged a fortune). Fortunately, I managed myself and launched a similar SPLNS here: https://bitcoin.vkbit.com.

There was a small frontend mistake with network diff calculations for CKPool Stats.  This will be fixed, but all the stored data is correct, so once the fix is pushed it shouldn't show any interruption in the stats history.
The bug effects the main page updating, so may be delayed a bit for now; the network difficulty number, and the odds of finding a block.
Sorry for the inconvenience, first time handling a new block found that highlighted the issue.

Looks ok you can start a fund rising now to support resources Smiley

Still, https://cpool.org providing with the real stats, no glitches, no worries, soon to integrate anonymous notifications.

No problem -CK, thanks for taking a look.

With reference to the charts, they are only 2 hours in length; its been monitoring for about 5 hours now but only 2 hours are shown.

It would be nice if this was 24hour if you can do it without too much hassle or as an extension selectable from 30minutes to 7 days maybe?

Anway, thank you and the author for your efforts.

Hey

Dynamic scaling of the x axis can be looked at.  It's only showing 2 hours of data because it originally assumed 10 min updates, but they are happening faster now.  Dynamic scaling should fix this, if not the hardcoded number can be updated to reflect the faster updates and show more data points
https://github.com/mrv777/ckstats/blob/main/lib/api.ts#L11

The backend is setup to save up to 7 days worth of data i believe before the cleaning script removes old data points, so 7 days worth of data should already be available, just a matter of showing it on the frontend in a nice way
https://github.com/mrv777/ckstats/blob/main/scripts/cleanOldStats.js#L7

Your stats are not real, pool update happens once every 30 sec. You are reading updated stats once every 10-30 mins or so Wink). 1m 5m etc has changed many times in this interval.

It only showed 2 hours because that's when the stats began; it will show longer over time (I think.) The difficulty is notated wrong - that's meant to be pool % not T, I'd already informed the author and it will be fixed.

I tried to help you, but when it comes to costs, there's no consideration, even though you've earned so much from fees. For everyone to know, our misunderstanding started when I asked Kolivas about some steps to code an SPLNS pool for myself, and he told me ...I'm dreaming if I think he'll code anything it for me. Then i asked myself why i am serving this guy ?  So this is why solostats in not what was before. Anyway, here we are ...

is somewhere source code available for own ckpool node and hosting?

Yes : https://bitbucket.org/ckolivas/ckpool-solo/src/solobtc/

Pool code:
The pool code actually run directly on the pool is all available under GPLV3 and can be used for setting up local solo mining.
Local solo mining is not recommended unless you have a high bandwidth low latency connection and optimised bitcoin daemon, however it is highly recommended as a final backup for any miner.

The pool source did I find as well, what about the dashboard mentioned in this thread?

Nope, stai cuminte.

Hi -CK

Just wanted to report a small issue with the stats page.

I have a missing worker when viewing the stats page, it shows a worker count of 2 when in fact I have 3.

Hopefully you'll be able to fix it.

Thanks

G.

Sorry about that.  That one worker that doesn't have a name isn't getting added right now.  I will try to handle that case today and push a fix to the repo

Shitcoiner @ work, fixing stats for ckpool Cheesy that's awesome.

I've tentatively set up a new stats site courtesy of MrV_777 for trial. I'm personally hosting this one, but I've left his donation link intact since he did the work. Some other web devs are also working on alternatives, so do not assume this is the final form but please test it out. I may be hosting multiple in the future whilst testing them out.

Http only for now:

while the new diff is 88.40

Check https://cpool.org solo stats for ckpool - for more information (data translated in human readable), same thing but no equations.

Appreciate the quick response. But in all sincerity, adding more time and accounting work, bookmarks, and electronic housekeeping to what I already have do to keep track of my ventures doe not appear to offer the promise of an attractive or enjoyable experience such as what was before today. I'm up for a voluntary donation to keep what it was, but I am 100% in opposition to your new business path. And on a side note, it was sad that you removed the Json stats at the bottom of the stats page a week or so ago, also without communication. In any case, I've expressed my opinions and you have yours . . . good luck.

Cheers!

I am always on Telegram, you could give me a message like "Dude i am missing that, i need that" ...but nothing.

Sad to see the stats site go this route without any warning.

I run many sites some have way more than 12k users on them and I don't pay anywhere near those levels.

Your either on some terrible host or some really over priced plan.

Storing and showing JSON data is not costly....
All your doing is storing the users JSON results once they enter there address.  so where is the cost?

Feels like you just tried to rug all the users here for funds...  Also zero chance that site costs 12k to run.. Stake.com don't even cost that a month!

This exaggeration with 12k goes viral Smiley
These are the current donations: https://mempool.space/address/bc1qq79sxdn8485sjwyqgtafzav6ezzj79yq2n2t89

Yep, imagine that $12k Wink actually server was/is monitoring 2,160 users, users that signed up for this.

So, just profiteering then.

I used to run a website a few years back, over a million unique visitors per month pushing just over 30GBytes. The server rental was around $8 per month with that data capacity.

So the whole thing cost $96 per year for the server and about $25 for domain name renewal each year.

Not anywhere near $12k a year.

What a shame Viktor, you had something good here and now you've spoiled it.

I believe you, but that was shared hosting and nowhere near what is needed to run this.
P.S. the whole thing dedicated from OVH costs me about $700 / year not to mention work and maintenance, just so you know.
And now i ask you, are you willing to pay $1/month for my work ?

Perhaps you could entertain the idea of temporary and occasional donation banners. Who knows, it could work. And it might also cure the heartburn sensations some of us are experiencing.

Just mentioned above, i need a feedback, any sum will enable your stats, but don't profit on this, i'll know if so, i just need to know you are there to support me & project.

Unfortunately, there are costs to support this small project and i cannot afford, i am doing all i can to sustain but soon, invoice will pop out, if you are willing to support any sum will cover, just let me know in private.

It's not likely anyone would disagree that there are costs involved to support this small project. However, it is likely that any heartburn is due to the abrupt change and without prior notice, or even a lead-in attempt at securing funding for the cause. Even Wikipedia has survived for eons on temporary and occasional donation banners which obviously work, or at least help. And as much as I loath click ads, just the threat to use them could have been an option or motivator to help acquire contributional support and keep the site clean. These are just my opinions, of course, and I still wish you the very best of luck.

Exactly this.

If there had been some notificaiton that you needed assistance with funding the project and an explanation of the costs you may have found people more accepting of it.

I dont know what your ISP charges for running a web-site, but in my experience its not a massive expense even when pushing over 30GBytes of data every month, I cant imagine you're anywhere near that kind of data requirement.

Given that there are 1000's of users I don't think it warrants the equivalent of $12.00 each. I can't imagine for one second it costs >$12,000 to run a site like that every year. That just makes it look like profiteering

Naturally I'm dissapointed, it was a really good idea that added something cool and nice features to solo.ckpool

Yep, imagine that $12k Wink actually server was/is monitoring 2,160 users, users that signed up for this.

I have been working with Open Source Miners United on the Bitaxe project as well as Bitmaker and Nerdminers. We had determined that a new solo pool that is super easy to setup and run for yourself would be a great contribution to the community. There is the official site https://web.public-pool.io but I encourage people to download and run it for themselves. It comes with both the stratum server and GUI. All the source is completely open and I welcome any contributions https://github.com/benjamin-wilson/public-pool .

The official site runs off hardware that I have physical control over and only the GUI relies on cloud infrastructure.

People have taken it and made a few derivatives such as vkbit.com and www.nerdminers.de.

Enjoy.

The Script is on GitHub but the Public-Pool is crashing a lot and support? Arc but i can’t find it anywhere. Also in Discord never get a answer.
Yes it looks good but it’s not really useable

Yep, told everyone but they don't listen, public pool is not maintained. Do you research before start mining in a pool that crashes everyday, 50 000 miners connected are just toys (nerdminers) Wink)))) oh yeah.
What would you expect ...lol 0% fees.
Ha ha ha.

Sorry this should be named prank-pool Wink
