No...these are air conditioning chillers on the roof of a building somewhere. Where exactly would the hashing units go when the radiators are angled like that? They almost meet in a perfect v at the bottom.
Those are rooftop radiators in Hong Kong for a mining operation on lower a lower floor you twit.

I'll be interested to see whether the infrastructure exists to pay dividends calculated by the second.

As always, I am prioritising my efforts in a way which I believe best serves the interests of all participants in the fund.
I will emphatically not be discriminating on the basis of position size.
This sounds like a prophylactic unrolling, with your own intrests in mind.

I believe this will have significant knock-on effects across the Bitcoin asset market.
the vast majority of the fund's capital is immune to BTC-TC's closure.

It astonishes me that I make the observation that small businesses/startups should ***EXPECT TO RECEIVE SIGNIFICANT FEEDBACK*** when they approach someone about investment -- or, alternatively, should expect to have the door shut in their face if their proposal is severely lacking in quality -- and now somehow I am the "greedy banker scum" up on a "high horse" and among the community of "you assholes". WTF?  Huh

Anyone who spends as much time actually reading what I've written as they spend vomiting intellectual bile across innocent bystanders might realise that not everyone is out to get them, and some people -- shock, horror -- might actually share a great many of their views.
thanks for the significant feedback. hypocrite

Rather than "ad hominem attacks[sic] and personal insults", I think part of the point Bob is making, is that a certain mindset common to those involved in finance was the very catalyst for the invention of bitcoin.
This aspect of bitcoin should not be discounted.
I think you will find many of the most resourceful people involved in bitcoin ask themselves "is this good for bitcoin?" as a first qualifier.

People say "it doesn't affect competitors" but I bet it darned well does. If FC announced Gen2 was launching on November 17th, do you think competitors will care? Of course they will. They will do everything in their power to beat FC to the punch. There is nothing like "fear of being beaten / bankrupt" to incentivise people to work harder.

Never incentivise your competition.
So true. Far more important than placating a few tunnel visioned share traders.
Friedcat is writing the book on this game, and I am looking forward to the next chaper, in due course.

Yep, I play ball. You attack my person, I hit back.

I'm not a "turn the other cheek" guy. The other ass cheek, maybe.
But you are an amateur analyist are you not?

And what do you suppose is the primary one?

Do you think I actually be short if thought I had to manufacture reasons to be bearish?

With any degree of accuracy, I can only say anything other than accuracy.

I can't speak for you, but if I thought I had to manufacture reasons to be bearish, yes maybe I actually be short too, I think.  Undecided

I'll third that "vicious personal attack" where you were referred to as an "amateur analyist".

So, I show you the income statement and explain the methodology, and you continue to imply the $1.50/GH figure is "completely made up"?

Please explain your investment thesis, I'm dying to know.

Firstly, it was my statement that even at $15/GH profit margins are over 75% that was completely made up, you absorbed it like air and used it in your next conjecture.
Secondly, I've been relatively clear on how I think the data you used to arrive at $1.50/GH is wonky.
Thirdly, no.
