Yeah if you are gambling for fun then there is nothing wrong with it but if you are depending only on gambling to make money or for living then its a total disaster as most of the times you will be loosing your money in it but if you are gambling with an amount that you can afford to loose then no need to worry.

Also I wouldn't consider it a "fiasco". I mean, are you sure the problem isn't in the exchange end?
Have you checked the transaction in blockchain explorer to see if it is already confirmed but the exchange is not acknowledging it?
Did the transaction include a proper fee? Unless you set it up manually, it should be ok though.
Anyways, yes, Bitcoin needs to solve the scaling problem asap. But that is already "discounted" in current price. Once that get solved expect the price to skyrocket.
All the transactions show in bitcoin.info as Unconfirmed. I have been raising the fees manually because my wallet was sending 0.0001 for all transactions.
In my latest transaction I sent 0.25 with 0.0005 (240 satoshi/byte) but when this gets processed it gets added to another 0.5 BTC and then the fee per byte drops to 96??

Ya. This one has a low (96 sat/B) fee, and 3 inputs so it might be unexpectedly delayed. The following one with the right fee (~220 Sat/B) will not confirm because it tries to spend the unconfirmed output from the delayed one.
edit: just saw that the one you posted has 3 unconfirmed inputs too! You seem to have a basic misunderstanding of how this all works.
edit2: Ahh. Do you have 'spend unconfirmed change' set in your wallet? That, and a bit of impatience, might have caused this chain of unconfirmed transactions (plus the low fees paid earlier).

I have contacted the wallet people but no response except that the fees are too low.. I sent the last transaction with max fees and still nothing.
I am not dev so I dont understand the techno lingo so well.
Right now I have a total of 7 transactions sent in the last 24 hours with increasing fees but none of them have confirmed!

It will still be popular even if Bitcoin had a stable price. Most companies and retailers don't accept bitcoins today due to its price instability. They all would start accepting bitcoin as payment if its price would be stable.So, there will be a huge increase in demand for bitcoins which would increase its price and help the progress of bitcoin , but since bitcoin is a decentralized currency, its price changes way to often based on the increase and decrease of demand .

And if Syria and Russia both stand up now and say that gas attack was fake, using either "children who were not dead" or "children who were killed for the purpose of filming a fake attack", it is going to open a huge can of worms and do a lot to legitimize other false flag theories (we all know are true) like the Boston Bombing, Sandy Hook, Pulse, the Bataclan, you name it.
That would represent an enormous unraveling of the entire deception matrix. Let's hope that Syria becomes the place the false flag gets burned. If the elite lose such a prime mind control weapon, and get mainstream blamed for even 911 the entire house of cards will probably crash down. I think bitcoin can gain momentum this year. But it is hard to predict what happens in the process. In short, I am expecting a break at this moment, but it is my idea that this will come and go.
Bitcoin will develop, but now there is a sharp decline in prices due to panic. Many have already lost faith in it and are selling their coins. Experienced investors are simply waiting for better times for bitcoin.

May be I am late in this thread, but my prediction was same. Because i have written in different threads about bitcoin, that bitcoin's price will be cross above $1100 to 1200, and it has done, as you see. But now i also want to predict the time has started that bitcoin price come back, and it is will be down more may be $800 to $900 and still stop for a time and than again it go up. But it is only my own prediction. But i am also worried about those people who have bought the bitcoin in a high price like $1000.
