Re: Banks Consume Over Three Times More Energy Than Bitcoin!

Not defending banks at all, but they support much more transactions than Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. So if we compare the consumption of electricity by each, then we should remember the number of work done as well.

With the implementation of LN, we will have more transactions in the future.

will ethereum be the 1st crypto in the world or BTC have the place forever?

To be honest I don't have any hope any time it will surpass the father of this ecosystem. Ethereum will have more tough competition so many alternative is about to ready to provide more better services let's watch what future will bring to this community.

The ETH might not be. The BCH might be.

BTC climbing and ETH standing like a stone ( Falling in ETH/BTC compare  Huh Huh Huh Huh  )

Do not worry. The Bitcoin network will be congested again, and the price of ETH will rise as a result.

It doesnt seem to matter what positive news there is for Ether, price barely moves. I see this as good thing for one people cannot call it a speculative bubble like others

I think the price is consolidating. So it might rise in a few months.

This uncertain situation on expected hard fork in Bitcoin will lead many investors to seek hedge against this situation. That pouring of fresh money may caused of crossing the 0.10 BTC by then. We can not say anything surely but if there things are not cleat then Ethereum will be benefited of the situation.

I think that is good for altcoins such as ETH or Bitcoin Cash.

no one worried here of all the ICO's taking ETH and when they sell to market huge selling pressure?

The selling pressure could reduce the price temporially. But in the long term, the price will rise.

Can somebody explain to me what the main differences between NEM and Etheruem are?

You're in the wrong place. This is the ETHf pump and dump thread.

Is that dumped to the ATH again?

Suckers that missed bitcoin and now can't afford to buy one whole bitcoin are buying ETHf hoping that one day this pump and dump coin can do what bitcoin did. They just forget that in contrast to bitcoin ETHf is a coin of unlimited supply. That is the main reason that among all altcoins ETHf is bank's favorite coin. XRP is the second one for the same reason.

it makes sense now...you knew it all along
i finally figured it out ....ETH+ETF= ETHF , ....now wheres my prize  lol

hows your etcetera coin coming on? lols

I think he means ETHF = ETH Fork.

If he does not like ETH, then he should sell all his ETH and maybe should short it to make more money.

Storj to Migrate Decentralized Storage Service to Ethereum Blockchain

http://www.coindesk.com/storj-migrate-decentralized-storage-service-ethereum-blockchain/

Long based on the Counterparty protocol, a top-level software that runs on the bitcoin blockchain, the move positions Storj as the latest blockchain firm to transition operations to ethereum, or at least away from bitcoin.

Great. The Ethereum network is becoming wider than ever and it will continue to do so.

It seems so. I hope one day we can use it as a currecncy, not just a fuel for smart contracts.

And down we go. See you at low $800s high $700s.

Really?
well honestly it is really possible because it might be that the bitcoin is just pumped at the moment and all the growth is just fake created by the speculators to make as much profit as possible, though it is also possible that it is a natural growth because the demand of bitcoin is increasing at a very rapid pace, hopefully that is the case and bitcoin is going to be only bigger without any drops.

I did not find the bitcoin is used widely at the moment.

because of this sudden increase of the bitcoin price it appears to be possible to reach $900 price value by the end of this year it is not impossible because lately it is just on the $800-$820 and now the price suddenly jumped to its current price and as we can see we are now in the $864 price which is closer enough to the first mentioned price . I hope that it will continue or eventually become slightly stable on $864+ price and will never be dumped .

This is not a sudden increase. The price has been up for a few weeks.

Re: Investing Bitcoins?

If someone made a legit and regulated lending platform I would love to start investing in people's projects but I cant trust BTCJAM after seeing so many scam accusations. I think that BTCJam should force people that want money to record a video and prove it's them and also FORCE a collateral, always or people will keep scamming.

We need a conventional bank to accept bitcoin before we can reliably save and borrow bitcoin. That means a regulated bank.
A regulated bank with bitcoin, how does that sound and how would that be implemented in the first place? Regulation is not possible with cryptocurrencies or the whole essence is lost! For a way to invest your bitcoin, I suggest to take some action yourself - do what Walmart did, living at the mercy of other site owners most often, leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.  Best investment I have come across so far in the cryptocurrency industry is to buy low and hold till it's profitable.

A regulated bank with the bitcoin is the best combination. We can save the bitcoin and earn some interest.

Re: USD vs BTC
by

i think that usd is more popular to the people beacuse it's the currency of america and bitcoin is just a crypto currency and use by the people in the internet. However, bitcoin is more valuable than usd Smiley
when it come to the digital age you  cannot say like that,if you look back when there was post office and fax for communication and now they are history because internet made it possible instantly ,so you never know how we will be dealing with currency twenty years from now.
to be honest here,USD still far popular than bitcoin even it's in internet world, especially if you are talking which more popular in social media when most of the users are not into internet that far, bitcoin still not as popular as dollar but will eventually making itself more popular
Yeah it is still more popular than bitcoin because it has been in existance for over hundreds of years while bitcoin was just given birth to in between 2008/2009, we are talking of just 8 years but look at how popular it is right now. Hopefully bitcoin will surpass USD in popularity within very few years to come. The rapid adoption of bitcoin payment system will support this continuously.

In the digital age, the adoption of the bitcoin will be accelerated. It is possible that bitcoin will be major currency in a few decades.

At this stage bitcoints not so popular as the dollar. But its popularity is growing. By dollar just all become accustomed. A cryptocurrency a relatively new and many people do not trust it
People massively using the US Dollar doesn't mean it's more or less popular than currencies such as Bitcoin.

They use it because there is no other option than that in their daily lives.

I don't ever think people (non Bitcoiners) will fully trust or believe in Bitcoin as a currency since there is no central authority.

The US dollar is much more popular than the bitcoin as the user numbers of the US dollar is much larger.

There are several crypto  projects that are  probably good investments. I recommend you to look  at the best currencies on  websites with reliable information, then  follow the team and development  of the coins to see  if it is worth investing.

Whatever research you are doing on altcoins, it won't help you much as this entire market is driven by speculation and hypes. Investing in altcoins require you to have luck which makes it quite a gamble. If you are willing to take the risk, then you can go for it. But the best is to stick to trading or to simply hold your coins.

If you choose the good altcoin to invest, you might have made a good profit. The examples are the Etheruem or Monero.

The best thing you can do is investing into the bitcoin because allot of speculatings about that the price will be very high in the future can be true so why dont we all use bitcoins or just invest something.

If you have a good capital then you can buy bitcoins at this stage as price is not too high but if you are planning to invest bitcoin somewhere then it can be very risky.

Grin It is getting late. It goes up more as each day past. I would also recommend them to buy it faster before it reaches the roof to where it will stand again there and just stay there for like a month again waving.

If the bitcoin still has community support and attract more users, the price of bitcoin will be more than $1000 next year.

For me bitcoin is more and more funn every single year because it helps me to increase my oline income very fast and it makes me really happy.

2016 is not boring. So far this year, the bitcoin has survived the Mike Hearn comments. And it will also survive the Bitfinex hack.

Re: Bitcoin will go up this week
by

Off course the price of the bitcoin wil always rise and that is because the bitcoin will always be popular for some people.
you're right, maybe this week bitcoin prices will go up by height. I am pretty sure that halving will not stop here. I think that the price of bitcoin will reach more than $ 1,000 this year, so this week surely the price will increase again. I guess I need a bitcoin in large numbers this year, and I hope I really have it

It is dificult to decide. The bitcoin has risen too fast recently. It needs some kind of correction. It should stay here for a few months.
Bitcoin is now just still rising for a long time and that is perfect for the people who already have Bitcoin and wait for the price increase.
Now the only thing that they have to do is just sell it on the right moment and earn some huge profit.

As long as the bitcoin is developed properly, it is a good long term investment. More people will use it in the future.

The bitcoin is getting more popular now. It is suggested by the congestion in the transmission network.

Re: +$20 in the last 24hrs...

This is very good news. this morning, I went kekampus me, and after returning home, I saw the price of bitcoin through to the price of $ 700. I think bitcoin prices increase $ 50 in 24 hours, it looks very good at all

The price is already $750 at the moment. That is even better news. The price could stay around here before halving.

The price is below $700 at the moment. It seems that is long waited events. If the price stays above $650, it could be good.

We won't now what kind of correction is coming up, but so far it does seems to be expected. Although we never can be sure if it has something to do with the ETH/DAO project.
Which is don't thing since those coins are corrected to (upwards)

I do not worry about short term price action. As long as bitcoin is properly developed and adoption, it is fine with me.

That is right. The short term price of the bitcoin is always volatile. But in the long term, it will rise.
