Do they come like a group of attackers targeting the forum?
I had thought it's a few random scammers just like every other forum might have.
Seem to come in waves. Not all that sophisticated either.

All the UFC needs to do is bring on a talented heavyweight from other MMA organizations...  That's if the UFC could find them.  You guys watch PFL and Bellator more than me.  Who's good over there that the UFC could poach and bring over?
Ngannou Cheesy. They've brought a few over recently, one of them obviously fighting this weekend as the main event. However, I don't think Teixeira is much different from what we've already got. He might win against Lewis, but I don't think he's anything that's going to take the world by storm.

He might climb the rankings quick just because of the lack of depth in the division, but outside of his clear advantages in height and reach he isn't all that technical like the rest of the division.

Unfortunately, we need a decent amount of new comers, because the division is stale from top to bottom. Tom, clearly is a very skilled fighter, but it almost seems wasted because there isn't anyone that's really going to challenge him. If he loses his belt, it'll be from something unexpected, then he'll get the rematch and win it back. I don't think anyone's going to out skill him in the division currently.

Re: How are reports handled on the LBs
by

If the reported user is a newbie / brand new:
- local moderator
- global moderator
- 'patrollers'

if the reported user is any other rank:
- local moderator
- global moderator

Worth clarifying that only the local moderator assigned to that local section will see it not all local moderators.

NO, THANK YOU.

In all seriousness, I think this will just take away from the actual discussion on the forum, and probably actually result in hindering it.

I truly hope that his wife, kids and family can find peace eventually. His wife seems genuinely a good person, and of course Jota as well. This was probably one of the more unexpected and touching losses in football. Obviously, a great football player, but genuinely seemed to be one of the nicest guys around. It's just a massive shame, especially with the reports on how it happened.

The only issue is some days there's several threads that get removed, occasionally there will be a random sort of concentrated 'attack' where we're removing 20+ posts, so could potentially just end up clogging up the boards if they aren't removed, and they display a notice.

I like the idea of messaging all those that have visited a topic that's been removed as malware though.

I'm hoping we at least get to see Topuria's take down defence, and potentially submission defence. If all we see is him stalking Oliveira before knocking him out, I'll be a little gutted. I want to see Topuria in a war, his fights are a little too clean for me to back him or want him to win.

I'm not a massive fan of fights which end instantly due to a KO, compared to those that go a few rounds, and are competitive. The competitive side is what makes them exciting. Topuria and Holloway was decent, you just didn't feel Topuria was in any sort of danger so despite it being somewhat competitive you could just see he was winning from the start pretty much, despite getting out struck volume wise.

My point is does a spammer many years ago will forever be spammer and won't be able to improve his posting quallity?
No. Of course they can improve. There's many examples of this over the years. It's quite typical that new users don't really care too much, and then change their mind as the forum grows on them, almost becoming a sort of second home to a lot of users here.

People in general deserve second chances. People develop over time, and typically learn from their mistakes. However, this varies from user to user, and I imagine most signature campaign managers would take this case by case instead of automatically ruling out users based on their past posting habits.

I just watched Burns Vs Morales.
I'm not sure if Morales was that good or it was due to a decline of Burns, but it was a completely one-sided show. And it's not like Burns got surprised by a lucky punch or anything, he did have his guard up when that crucial strike landed.
This will be a big boost to Morales, and he's one to watch. He's only 25, has a perfect record of 18-0, with 78% finish ratio, and despite the vast majority of his finishes being KOs, he has a solid wrestling background.
The welterweight may soon become more interesting than the lightweight.
If it is a decline of Burns it's pretty damn rapid. He looked fairly decent against Khamzat, and nearly won the fight. I'm pretty sure he stunned Khamzat, I just don't know how close it was to a knockout. He did seem to sort of face flat the mat though. Although, he hasn't looked nearly as good since, but the Khamzat fight wasn't 10 years ago. I do find though, in MMA when you drop off, you fall off a cliff.

Morales might just be that good.

Every week I seem to get let down by 1/2 fights. I didn't watch last nights though, due to other commitments. I'll review the tape and see how far I was from actually nailing it. Seems like Thiago Moises and Matheus Camilo are the ones to let me down this week.

I've seen the result of the Thiago Moises and I knew it was one of the more risky ones, but I guess I can't argue with that result Cheesy

Here's my predictions for this week:

Denise Gomes
Thiago Moises
Matheus Camilo
Nursulton Ruziboev
Rodolfo Bellato
Michael Morales
Over 1.5 Luana Santos vs Tainara Lisboa
Tecia Pennington

I'm staying away from the other fights. Too close or just not worth the risk. Paul Craig always has the potential to pull off a upset, due to his grappling ability. However, I think most fighters are now aware of this and can avoid it.

Paddy specifically called for a fight with McGregor in the UK, based on what I take to be the latter's purported $500,000 bet against him in the Chandler fight.
Additionally, McGregor did not immediately respond to Paddy's comments.

Though the specifics of his comments vary depending on the source, McGregor's response seems to have been sardonic if Paddy did answer this challenge.
Some people claim that he refused Paddy's challenge or made fun of it.   This makes it seem as though he was only bothering McGregor to start a fight.  As a result, for the time being,
the news remains speculative.
I'm pretty sure Connor isn't coming back unless it's for a super fight with a lot of money. The only way this happens in my opinion is if Paddy gets the belt, and even then a lot of people will be upset that Connor gets yet another title shot off of being inactive for a number of years.

I think it's time to move on from Connor. He's done a lot for the sport, but I think the sports outgrown him, at least a lot of the fans aren't a massive fan of his antics. However, at his prime he was probably one of the most exciting fighters, to have ever entered the fight scene. Just a shame how it all went down hill after that loss to Khabib. Seemed to spiral in his personal life also.

I have seen users with ridiculous numbers that makes my almost 100 successful report seem like child's play
They really do deserve such a badge.
I think it would be better if it's first available to people that meets the criteria before implementation to prevent abuse.
I won't be surprised if some individuals purposely create accounts
To farm reports.
It would be great seeing it on individuals that did it thanklessly maybe above a thousand report.
I'm assuming this is one of the factors theymos has delayed it, might be wrong there though. I know they suggested they ran into a few hiccups when it came to implementing it. However, theymos seems to be very conscious when implementing things to the forum, so I'd bet a decent amount of money that they've already considered ways of dealing with report farming or if not report farming, the influx of reports this would likely generate which I assume would cause a decent amount of workload on inaccurate reports.

Read this guide to understand and use Report better.
[Unofficial Guide] Reporting effectively.
I've been really meaning to update this so it's not got all the broken images, and update some of the content from what I've learned over the years. Also, just adding a lot more content to it. SoonTM.

Could there be users who might report but won't because of this?, I mean if you're a mod then it doesn't really matter the user reporting the post should know, you're hired to work on reports, user knows or won't it doesn't really matter tbh.
Honestly? Probably. theymos could remove it if they deemed it urgent enough. However, I still think some incentive other than helping the community, because it's a fairly thankless task (thank you to all the reporters out there). I would've loved to see the reporter badges that theymos hinted at possibly implementing at some point.

Yeah, Volk winning doesn't do a whole lot for the division, and I can understand people being a little disgruntled about it. However, I'm here for it. I'm a big fan of Volk. Right from his background to his fighting style. The guy will fight anyone, and look good doing it. Even in his recent losses he didn't look all that bad. He's fighting against age, but I'm happy for him to secure it once more before he retires in the next few years.

Yup.  But not really sure about Lopes in a 5 rounder tho...  All his matches in the UFC were all only up to R3.  So dunno, I feel like, yeah Lopes could finish Volk but then again Volk could expose Lopes like Ige did.  Sure Ige lost the fight but it was on short notice and he made Lopes look like a fringe top 15 guy instead of a title contender.

Would've been nice if Volk was a decent underdog in this spot.
This is basically how I feel. Ige exposed some cardio issues, which Volk hasn't looked bad in his latest losses. I feel like he was probably winning the fights up until getting knocked out. I'm not sure Volk will get knocked out here though. I think he has enough movement, he's still fairly quick, and that'll be enough to keep him out of danger. He's then stockpile some points via volume rather than a massive amount of damage.

The odds still have some time to shift though, seems like a lot of people are picking against Volk so it could well drift to a decent spot to bet in.

Alright, here's my predictions for the weekend:

Cornolle
Tulio
Woodson
Oleksiejczuk
Elkins
Sumudaerji
Hooper
Xiaonan
Silva
Rodriguez
Krylov
Paddy the baddy
Volkanovski

I'm not sure who I'll be placing bets on yet, but those are my initial leans. I'm sure I'll bet a little differently to this due to there being decent value elsewhere, but these are the ones I'd pick to win without placing any money where my mouth is at the moment.
