Re: Telegram is trash
by
Wingo
on 14/11/2020, 07:03:52 UTC
Seems it's just an echo chamber that tells you your bags are going to the moon... And if the price happens to go down? ?
....then it's another chance to fill your bags even more LMFAO!

One critical observation.... Instaban!

Silly ass shit

Am I wrong?

Edit: I am not talking about Electroneum.

Biggest joke on Telegram is Avalanche. Great project, horrific Telegram. Not one negative comment.  LOL

But this is how it's done on almost all projects...purposefully.

Trashy as hell.  BAD form. Zero class

It's not the platform that is trash, Telegram is one of the safest messaging app in terms of privacy. It's the people's greed that makes crypto project groups look like a ponzi scheme. People who wanted to be rich fast and not really minding the idea, the product and the innovation behind the project. Yes there are so many trash projects out there, but there are still nice projects with bad community in telegram. It is not the platform, but the greed of the people, are the root of this problem.

Re: Altcoin pump and dump
by
Wingo
on 12/11/2020, 00:11:47 UTC
Hey guys,
I've checked some intersting altcoins which are pretty cheap now, the projects look promising and legit but I'm still afraid that they could be another pump and dumps (there were so many of them already!). What are the signs or metrics that send alert signals about the projects and I should check deeper or not risk my money? Or is it just impossible to tell if it's another pump and dump scam project.

You cannot actually tell. The price is motivated by the demand and the supply of the coin. These are based on how the people  view a project. Any coin can pump when there are a lot of people buying the idea of the project or the product or fomo-ing on the price increase.

Re: How cryptocurrencies could allow financial inclusion ?
by
Wingo
on 06/11/2020, 20:24:38 UTC
I don't think crypto would outright reduce the gap between the rich and the poor as rich people are more involved in crypto buying and holding than a poor one. The people below the poverty line have many other priorities than cryptocurrency and a lot of them might not even have heard about it.
But adopting crypto would make finance more efficient making cash flow easier and financial opportunities and loans accessible to most people.

There will be cases like that. But in terms of investing, cryptocurrencies will open a new door. Since financial transactions will be easier and have lower fees, there will be a lot of advantages. For example when stock markets start allowing account funding through cryptocurrencies, then stock investing will be a lot easier, faster, and more secure. This I think is the meaning of financial inclusion which will give more investing opportunities not just for the rich but for everyone.

Re: Should i Invest more???
by
Wingo
on 06/11/2020, 20:00:20 UTC
Hi , i have invested more than 50 Eth for many projects in this year and i have got about 20 eth as the profit.  Cool  Is it enough ??
And now im analysed about few projects and finally i selected 4 projects . But i'm actually need to invest for only 2 project , So i need your help for next step. And i hope your answer with a reason..

1). CurioInvest (A community of Altra rare car collectors)

2). Filescoin   ( decentralized storage network designed to store humanity's private information.)

3). HediCoin ( Swiss crypto token)

4). Insolar

For now , my choice is   1) Insolar  2) Filescoin  3) HeidiCoin  4) CurioInvest

***Insolar is a quite old project So i can trust  their team more than other projects ,
***And Filescoin is a new one but i think its a good concept for the whole world and i think i can get more profit by investing to their pre-sale(from 7 th nov 2020) ,
***And Heidicoin is also a quite old project and its already listed on some exchanges and price has been changed in between 20$-35$ ,
***CurioInvest is also a trusted team and i have to wait for long time to get a goo profit from it ,

So these are only my reasons (only a short description)  , Please share your idea here  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I'm a fan of Insolar since their blockchain is an advanced platform (blockchain 4.0) which can offer better speed and scalability for corporate applications. I was part of their bounty (had a huge gain), initially sold it and bought again before the swap. They have a good technical team but the had a quite bad marketing and community engagement. I'm hoping this project will actually become big once listed in big exchanges, and once their platform gain attention from big companie.

Re: Can I 'delete' useless tokens from my wallet?
by
Wingo
on 05/11/2020, 16:56:59 UTC
Is it possible to remove tokens from dead projects/tokens that are totally useless and worth $0 from my wallet? Do I just send them to a random address? I don't want to burden anyone else with those shitcoins  Cheesy

Why does it matter? It will do no harm. You can send it to any random wallet but you'll be needing some gas.
It doesn't make sense. If you want a clean wallet then just go create a new one. Tokens cannot be deleted like anything in the blockchain, it is made to be that way.

Re: Deflationary Tokens
by
Wingo
on 05/11/2020, 00:26:23 UTC
Please kindly share the name of the token, many deflationary tokens I knew are almost dead now due to lack of use case, investors are now smarter to avoid projects that have no real life use cases because in a very short time they will become worthless

A great example is $BNB, a solid project with a great number of supporters. Investing in deflationary tokens can benefit long term investors. Given that all fundamentals in the company's business remains constant, the token price will go up overtime due to regular token burns.

Re: Do not be fooled
by
Wingo
on 05/11/2020, 00:21:54 UTC
Coronavirus is the reason why market is in very bad shape, it will be very stupid to exit because of this while others are making good choice presently, many are already saying it's the end for crypto but the fact is Bitcoin died several times in the past and it's still alive today, do not be fooled by those who don't understand the technology

Many fund managers and traders panicked when lockdowns started, creating a major sell off on all markets including the cryptocurrency market. But then after some months we saw the crypto market rise big time. And Bitcoin more than any asset, created massive gains. Technology stocks were also up and I think people saw the potential in these sectors. A way to preserve value during a recession.

Re: Half bread is better than none
by

Altcoins are really scary, if you can do some research you will see many good altcoins that had very good start and value in 2018 and are still alive today but we never heard anything good from them anymore for some reasons, they are now like ghosts, honestly altcoin investment is more scary, this is why its better to always take profit, most especially from new altcoins, Profit is Profit, either big or small.

Depends on many factors, the technology, the business, the team. It is safer to invest in top coins since it has a more solid business compared to other coins, the lesser risk. Still, no one can predict what can happen in the future, even bitcoin might die out. We can never know.

Re: Could Tether (USDT) be really called decentralized cryptocurrency?
by
Wingo
on 01/11/2020, 19:50:14 UTC
The first sentence in the white paper of Tether (USDT) says the following. A digital token backed by fiat currency provides individuals and organizations with a
robust and decentralized method of exchanging value while using a familiar accounting unit.

Now don't get me wrong. I use USDT a lot, in fact I love it. The fixed price of $1 while being a cryptocurrency makes crypto transactions for purchasing services easy and beautiful.

But I keep thinking of how original paper money was created. In history we had gold for trading. Then gold became inconvenient so bankers offered to hold gold for paper that verifies how much gold is owed to customers. Then this paper became more convenient and was used instead of gold with the trust that its backed by gold. Then this paper a long time later became a currency that isn't backed by gold anymore.

Could the same happen with USDT. If everyone decided to claim original $$$ with their USDT, would Tether Limited issue it all making the price worthless?

Anyway the point I am trying to make is that Tether (USDT) is centralized around the Tether Limited's will to keep it going. This company is basically like a bank too.

No it is regulated and hence is not decentralized. Let's keep in mind that in order for its price to be stable, the distribution of the coin must be controlled.
We know that cryptocurrencies are volatile and that's the reason why stable coins are made and the characteristics of tether is very different.

Re: I believe this is the way
by
Wingo
on 31/10/2020, 01:35:48 UTC
We all want to be rich in crypto space, I get it but there is possibility that what we want to achieve may not come to past when we plan only to hold coins and tokens for years but how about

Buy a coin and hold like you intended but take profits when the coin shoot up like double Profit up to 2x and buy back when the coin dumps, crypto is like a circle, there will be pumps and there will be dumps, in that process of taking profits and buying back you will end up wining both ways, whatever happens you won't entirely lose out.

Think about it

Trading in crypto, the same with stocks is not a buy and hold scheme, whenever you trade, there must be a target price for you to secure profits.
We as humans are affected by emotion, and the crypto market is motivated mostly by great emotion in line with the wider price volatility. You'll only lose if you don't try to learn how the market works and how to make yourself adaptive to the changes in the market environment.

Re: Stable coins for bounty hunters
by
Wingo
on 31/10/2020, 01:28:06 UTC
I know this have been discussed several times on this forum but yet I will like to drop this again, I'm sure few new developers are among us here, so here we go

It will be a whole new story if new projects can start paying bounty hunters in USD or stablecoin, this have few advantages over paying with your own tokens, if new projects find it as a most for people to try out their new Blockchain they should use airdrops instead, airdrops has the lowest rewards, hardly to get 2$ in airdrops today

As for bounties please start paying in USDT, DAI or USDC, this will erase your sense of 'bounty hunters are killing new projects' idea

This also ensures that bounty hunters will receive the same value as presented in the bounty post. Most of the time, after the bounty rewards are distributed and unlocked, the price of the token already dumped so much. That we as bounty hunters will feel that our hard work was not compensated properly.

Hi, guys, I want to ask how do I avoid ICO scams...

Are there any good ICO's left? or is the market flooded with bullshit coins?

You can't really say if it's legit or not by just looking at the bounty thread. You must do your own research. I sometimes join bounties only from reputable bounty managers. That way I can ensure that the bounty is managed properly, and have a sort of assurance that we as bounty hunters will be paid properly.

Re: Where can I sell ERC20 coins?
by
Wingo
on 29/10/2020, 16:24:43 UTC
Just like what the tittle say Where can I sell ERC20 coins? like etherdelta back on the days. It's been years since I last sell some coins so I forgot the sites where I sold them. Just want to ask if there are still good sites to sell ERC20 coins like etherdelta. TIA

Do you live in a cave?  Cheesy

There are a lot of Decentralized exchanges out there. I don't think you know uniswap but if your token is listed there, you can easily trade your token. There are other decentralized exchanges but like etherdelta in 2017, all fees are high af as of this moment due to the high network traffic in the ethereum blockchain. You can use centralized exchanges (lower fees) but pick the right and reliable exchange.

Re: Which coin do you trust, BNB or ETH?
by
Wingo
on 29/10/2020, 16:18:41 UTC
These two are sure good altcoins to invest, and I also believe that both will be successful in the future, but I would like to ask the community here if which coin they believe will be more successful in the future. I also added a poll so you can vote, this would help people reading this thread to easily determine which coin is better.

Please share your opinion too on why you choose a certain coin.

In terms of trust, I'll go with Ethereum since decentralized systems are made to be trustless. But for growth, I'll go with BNB. Though bnb is originally made on top of ethereum blockchain, it has more potential for growth compared to ethereum. And in terms of tokenomics, BNB has better price potential since it is non-inflationary or in other words has a limited supply and they do regular token burning. Unlike ethereum that has unlimited supply, and limited scalability.

Re: AUDIO massive pump after surprise Binance support
by
Wingo
on 29/10/2020, 15:08:54 UTC
Anyone heard of AUDIO?

And that's what Binance can do, LOL, a simply statement make this project create a hype and pump so hard that if you are an early investors, you could have made a ton of money. So who amongst you were early investors of AUDIO?

Or majority here miss the boat?

Almost all projects listed on Binance had an initial pump since it's the most popular and biggest exchange we have. There are many other similar concept to that of AUDIO but didn't get much attention. Listing on Binance, I can say, is a great marketing strategy to attract people about the project, and the token. But then like many project that had initial pumps, it might just dump after a few days.

Re: Values of Bitcoin & Altcoin are correlated
by
Wingo
on 26/10/2020, 19:42:38 UTC
I am aware some of you might not agree with my view but I strongly feel that the value of altcoins are correlated to the value of bitcoin and we have seen this in the past as value of altcoin trends according to the momentum of bitcoin, but now the real question would be "why the value of altcoins are still trailing behind wherein bitcoin has increased by leaps". All we need is a bit of patience as crypto will not go as per our expectation as it's not scripted and many might have noticed that the value of ETH was all-time high when the value of bitcoin started to dump after the 2017 bull run.

What's your opinion guys?

The price movement is actually correlated if you observe the Bitcoin dominance chart. Bull runs in the market are actually triggered when there is a decline in bitcoin dominance.
In 2017, the dominance fell below 50%, triggering a bull run not just only for the alts but for the whole market.
Earlier this year, the dominance fell below 58% and it also triggered a short lived alt season, but I still hope this alt run is not yet done.

Re: Defi project like game pump and dump
by
Wingo
on 26/10/2020, 19:34:31 UTC
What do you think of defi projects, most of them are only good for the short term.To make a big profit, we must enter at the right moment, if we are wrong we will lose very deeply.

Most defi projects are not sustainable, making it good only for short term. And some with low volume are just a pump and dump scheme. There is no basis for timing as to when you'll enter or give up a position. It's not good for trading. More like a matter of luck.

Re: What is yours opinion in XRP Coin ?
by
Wingo
on 26/10/2020, 19:24:18 UTC
In my opinion XRP is a  Ripple is a technology that's act as both a crypto currency and a digital payment network for financial network payment.

The almost more people will be use to XRP Coin the tarding investment and others others realting so it's a High value on the Coin in Market crypto, I hope this Coin will more increased the valu on crypto Market 🙂

It has great value for long term. Many banking institutions are adopting its usage. I personally use it to transfer between exchanges because of the low transaction fees and its speed. And the fact that it belongs to the top cryptocurrencies makes it more solid to put your money into.

Re: Is DeFi benefiting Bitcoin?
by
Wingo
on 22/10/2020, 19:52:08 UTC
Yes, alts move inversely proportional with bitcoin's dominance, and bitcoins price is relative to it's dominance, this means that any altcoin with BTC pair can affect the price of bitcoin. Most coins that are listed on major exchanges has a BTC pair so the DeFi hype attracted many investors and therefore has a great effect on the market movement as a whole.

Re: Do you fear the president of your country, one day, making Crypto illegal ?
by
Wingo
on 21/10/2020, 20:35:16 UTC
Yes, and everyone here is afraid that this might happen. But right now the possibility is very low.
At this time of pandemic, contactless and online transactions is one of the best solutions to lessen the infection of the coronavirus disease. People can buy goods online using online banking and online payments.
But on the business side, there is an alternative to lessen the cost of processing financial transactions while ensuring security with the use of blockchain technology and crypto currency.
So in order for this to happen, everyone must be educated about what cryptocurrencies are. In my experience, there is a stereotype that cryptocurrency is used by scammers and for money laundering. And this mentality needs to change.
