Re: Altcoins to HODL

To address everyone, I don't promote any of those coins, I have other coins that I didn't mention, I am mostly putting some money in some AI altcoins. Yes, I do hold bitcoin but this is altcoin discussion so I don't see the relevance of that to this discussion. I'm asking if there's any other coins that I can check out but it seems you care about other things.

Do we need a significant change in Blockchain for Web3
by
Wintersoldier
on 07/11/2022, 12:56:09 UTC
Blockchain's been here for a long time now, I think we're close to 14 years now but I haven't seen a lot of big changes to it and the technology just keeps on advancing. I think that we should look into projects that are trying to revolutionize Blockchain as we know it and I'm looking at Oasis Protocol and they seem to be promising with their concept of splitting the network into 2 layers: Consensus and ParaTime layers.

With a lot of projects being built around the concept of Web3, I think it's safe to say that there's a future in it. I mean look at the narrative right now, people don't want nasty corporation making money out of their data, with Web3, at tleast the option of tokenization of data is there so people can choose and get the benefits.

What's the use-case of the oasis network?
It's a Blockchain that aims to make use of Web3 to it's fullest, they want to take privacy on the Internet to the next level by having layers called Consensus layer and ParaTime layer. You can read more about them in their website and Medium.

Re: Which Altcoin is good to invest in right into?
by

Rose Token is a pretty good altcoin to invest in, the Oasis Network is a promising project and it's proving itself that it's a worth it project to look into if not invest in with their new approach to the concept of blockchain. The Rose token right now is pretty cheap and I think it's a bad thing to not put some into it and see where it goes.

Staking stablecoins, for now, is a very good idea. I would like to recommend $Rose token which is the token that is used by the Oasis Protocol Network. You can it by checking their website and trying to read some of their projects which may help you to stake on their token. Have a great day OP!

I can give you an example like investing on $Rose token which is under the platform of oasis network I can say that you may start your investing here sooner or later. How Oasis Network Solves Blockchain Privacy Paradox?
by
Wintersoldier
on 29/09/2022, 02:28:25 UTC
First, let's define Blockchain Privacy Paradox.

According to Dentons.com, Blockchain Privacy Paradox means that records published to a blockchain cannot be deleted. This means an individual person would not want to use a Blockchain for their personal and sensitive information. Also, how can an individual or data subject exercise their right to be forgotten when the information recorded on a blockchain’s ledger is permanent?

This is what Oasis Network Solves.

With Oasis Network’s architecture, it can separate consensus and smart contract execution into the Consensus Layer and the ParaTime Layer. This means that separating these layers allows ParaTimes to process transactions of different complexity in parallel with shared consensus, offering incredible flexibility and the potential to incorporate customizable privacy-preserving technology that can break the blockchain privacy paradox.

Currently, Oasis Network has two confidential ParaTimes named: Cipher & Sapphire

What are your thoughts about this?

Re: Keeping A Record Of Your Losses Will Make You Realize To Stop Gambling
by
Wintersoldier
on 04/04/2020, 16:40:43 UTC
Depends actually on the person itself sometimes if you're really addicted to it, you couldn't stop even after losing so much because there's always this "i have to get back what i loss mentality" but this is not generalization others could change. But i think the key thing to not become a compulsive gambler is to only bet money that is not important to you like savings.
Indeed. It depends to a person if he intends to stop playing gambling, even he keeps or tracks a record of his losses because there are gamblers who doesn't bother even his losses has already reach to millions of dollars because as long they gamble and they are still greedy to earn money they will probably gamble again.

Re: Why people are comfortable investing in government controlled investments
by

In my own opinion, people are comfortable investing in government controlled investment because it can be trusted and it is legitimate, unlike in crypto space not all projects are legitimate because most bounty projects in cryptocurrency is a fraud and scams, that is why there are only few people who uses and buys bitcoin.

Re: What China is hiding from us and are they doing it to save their economy?
by
Wintersoldier
on 04/04/2020, 15:21:30 UTC
As many people think coronavirus is created by China and they did to crush other economy but I don't think that's what they did but some information came to light that gives us some dought about China's action. as far as we know death in China is a total of 3800+ but is it a real number? Did they hide the real numbers to protect their economy? what those pictures tell us!

The corona virus or the COVID-19 is really from China because the virus called Sars is also from China, which it doesn't take too long to spread all over the world. I think China is not hiding their numbers of death or people who are infected. I think the thing that China is hiding from us is who is the one who have spread and created the virus.

- E-SPORT
every year E-Sport enthusiasts continue to rise even to the match at the Olympics, many predictions say that the E-SPORT market in the future is very large, the profit generated can be billions of dollars.  E-Sport does not need a big place and spectators, even players can do matches at home..  You can get a reference for example or type of game HERE

In my own opinion, Esport also needs a big place and spectators, even we can now watch them in some live streaming platforms like Twitch.tv because sometimes it is hard to manage a tournament or a competition without a specific place on where the match will happen. It may be possible that Esports really doesn't need an audience or spectators but they need a place on where they will meet up and will have a match.

Since the year of 2018 the number of scam projects have started to increase, that is why investors and bounty hunters have lose their trust in new projects because most of the time the team members are making a lot of excuses when there are some delays in distributing their rewards and some team members have run away.

Re: Memory lane (best match you gambled on)
by
Wintersoldier
on 03/04/2020, 19:52:32 UTC
As corona virus pandemic has halted what we have passion for let's all go down memory lane and recall those epic match that we gambled on and will never forget it win or lose

Well mine still gives me chills down my spine when I remember it.
It was a champions league encounter between FC Barcelona and Paris saint Germain. A second leg encounter with almost all hope lost for Barcelona due to the first leg, but I still went for them progressing, and wow was it not the best match of my lifetime, what's yours
I think the best and epic sports betting match that i remember is the NBA 2019 final playoffs between the Raptors and the Warriors that the score is 114-110. Good thing that me and my friend bet on the Raptors because we assume that it will reach in the game 7 and we didn't expect that they will beat the Warriors in the playsoffs. Kawhi Leonard is the real mvp that game and we all happy about it.
Not sure if I understand it correctly, Raptors and Warriors met at the finals and the game didn't proceed to game 7 as Raptors beats the Warriors at
game 6, Good for you for betting for the raptors as they are really lucky since most of the stars of Warriors are injured from that series.

You understand it correctly. I also didn't expect that the finals will end in the game 6 because mostly the finals always ends in game 7, that is why i lose that time because i assume that the golden states will won in game 6. Also, It is really sad for every NBA fans that the playoffs have postponed because of the virus.

Since everybody here have good memories in sports bet game. My best memories in gambling is playing online poker in a crypto casino that i think i won a hundred of dollars by just bluffing my opponents that i have a high card on my hand, that is why they mostly fold their carda and leave the table. It is really funny that night because all of my opponents was so easy to fool.

Re: Risk vs Gambling
by
Wintersoldier
on 03/04/2020, 19:21:31 UTC
While reading some discussions here, I've noticed that some people thought trading is part of gambling.

IMO, to be specific, when we're trading, it should be a risk. Risk means, you have considered the possible effects of your decisions and you can predict the movements in the market.

Gambling is more on guessing, we don't have control over the possible outcome. Obviously, guessing can't be applied in trading, it'll just give you a huge loss. So definitely, based on the definition, the term we should adapt is risk.
In my own point of view, gambling is really a risk because there will be a possible effects on your decision, and trading is also risk because you are also making a decision and mostly you are predicting the next move of the market, so how would you say that traders are not guessing or predicting? It is the reason why traders are making their own theories on what are the reasons why bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have a sudden downfall to it's price.

Re: Is KYC bad for crypto?
by
Wintersoldier
on 03/04/2020, 19:01:17 UTC
In my own personal opinion, KYC isn't bad for cryptocurrency because the only reason why a project requires a KYC to avoid multiple accounts and for them to trust their participants. The bad thing about KYCs is if a project is a fraud or scam because they can steal your informations and used in their illegal activities.

Re: How to protect bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies from hackers.
by
Wintersoldier
on 03/04/2020, 15:19:10 UTC
its better to use hardware wallets than other wallets such as online wallets, but that doesn't mean you must not use online wallets, the best way you can do with your wallet is to be careful  with the passcode or the privatekey do not let anyone know your privatekey, that might be the cause of your loss, and second don't click any suspicious links
When you have a huge amount of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, you should be storing the 90% of your crypto in your hardware wallet like ledger and trezor wallet because it is the safest way to store your cryptos that hackers could not access in a hardware wallet. While the 10% of your crypto should be in your online wallet, so it wouldn't be bad if you have been hacked or lost your account.
