Re: Trying to take loan for mining build

You can buy gpus at many sellers with a loan and pay it back in 1 year.
Nearly nobody whout give you this advise for mining crypto, but it is possible.
How much solar do you have? I doubt you can run 3 rigs full time, but if so
it might be an option to look for a partner to do this.

In case you basically have nothing, no hardware and no knowledge in mining
you wont find one. In this case.... better forget it.

For a small miner it doesnt really make a difference.
When you mine from 10 to 12m using PPLNS, you can get payed even at 12.30, when your rig is off.

We all learn a lot about mining and get our experiences.
After years of mining one of the worst constructed gpus - and its still sold for lots of money -
is the asus tuf 5700 / XT. They have the worst ram cooling i have ever seen.
Still have 3 full rigs og them.... what a nightmare.

It all depends on your electricity price. Check whattomine and look your profit and how many % is electricity costs.
In the case > 25% of the profit is taken by costs i wouldnt buy it. Hashrate will go up further and would take you
to > 50% electricity costs..... no deal.

It doesnt. The CPU and drives are not the problem (at the beginning). The amount of storage is.
Think aboud buying every week 1 new HDD for the plots....
I did this for 1 week and did my calculation. Even with 10 times the price of now
this is no plan to get money. Only chance was at beginning and if you had lots of drives
rdy without investing money.

No, its not. The Pro has a low TBW of 1.5 TB.

Good one would be:

Thanks for the fine work to you and your team!

I have a little problem (well not a real problem, but you will understand it...).
Mining with lots of GPUs (>6 on each rig) the display of the miner (GMiner i use)
shows the details in 2 rounds. While mining with only 4 GPUs i an see rejected shares from
the first display, and the temp and core display comes in the 2. display.
On my rigs with much more GPUs, i can only see the 2. display.
So its nearly impossible to see the 1. display with rejected shares.

Do you see any possibility to change the display? Or add rejected shares of each GPUs somewhere?

Thanks again

Wotan

You only need USB to power it. And these cheap things have a very good display.

This rig heats my home - silent - until the winter ends in about 1 or 2 months.
The GPUs will be placed in a server case than and mine somewhere else.
In a server case i can put up to 8 GPUs, but i think i stick to seven gpus.
The rig itself will stay for new watercooled gpus until i have enough for the next rig.
This is the reason for the big block.

1. When you use the pill, dont oc the memory.

2. You can try simplemining, its very easy. Free for a while as a new account.

MSI 6700XTs have a new Version too.
Less vcore needed, nearly 50 MHs ETH for 100 Watt.

I am located in germany and use simplemining. Tested the ram temps in windows so i know all is safe.
Could push the ram higher, up to 104 mhs eth.

Never changed to coolant. Over time (months) it will become less a bit and i fill it up. Checking the water
all 4 to 8 weeks. I would go for DP Ultra coolant with a color. (i have always green)
This will help in case you have a leakage.

My 1080s run watercooled since they came out, years ago.

Yes, depending on the Fans and the temperature at the radiator 3 fans are enough.
I use server cases so always 1 good 3 fan radiator.
On my 3080s i have got ek waterblocks.

you need to pick the algo you run and the coin you want, the walletadress to send to, your worker and you can add a referral code.

For example ETH --> LTC:

GMiner:

--algo ethash --api 3333 --server ethash.unmineable.com:3333 --user LTC:LTCwallet.worker#60ia-tzm0

6700XTs dont take 130 Watt. More like 100 Watt.
