Re: You think the Crypto market will keep growing?

Experienced investors must remember - periodically cryptocurrency prices will fall. In such circumstances, you just do not panic, be sure to be patient. After all, history confirms that after each fall, the crypto market eventually restored active growth.

I agree. Also just invest in good coins like bitcoin, ETH, BCH.

Short answer, impossible, 144.5 requires a larger amount of ram that the ASIC machines do not have
And how much RAM do they have?

Nondestructive analysis show that it is less than 128MB of SRAM. Unless there was a chip breakthrough, you can't fit more than 128MB of SRAM on a chip. EH 144_5 would require a minimum of 600MB SRAM to be competitive with GPUs.

Darn, it took the Crypto community 8 years to figure this out?

By the way, Renuzit, this miner realy FKs up my RIG, it gives a ton of rejected shares and then crashes and 4 out of 7 GPUs disappear. I typically have to reboot about 4 times to get the system to bring up all 7 GPUs. The resolution keeps bouncing around to 640x480 and

On the ZM miner where I used to mine BTCz up until the algo change, I had no issues whatsoever, my RIG would run a month without crashing even once, steady mining.

I just tried again and now my RIG is not responding. Even screws up teamviewer, turns into black screen.

This usually happens after WIN 10 update.

Does it work with Windows 8.1?

In my opinion, the one that will recover first will be bitcoin because it is more potential and stable. It even controls the price of most altcoin so therefore, if bitcoin rises, other altcoin will rise but not as high as bitcoin.

Most altcoins will not reach ATH in the future. The bitcoin will.

Re: Claymore's ZCash/BTG AMD GPU Miner v12.6 (Windows/Linux)

Hello, where does the AMD RX470 driver download?

If you got a RX 470 don't mine ZEC with it. The max speed you will get is like 280hs or so.

ZEC is geared towards older GPUs like the Radeon 7950/7970/280X or some types of Nvidia GPUs

With your GPU you are better off mining something like ETH or ETC you will make more.

Just go to What to mine and put in your GPU there and mine what is most profitable.

I have a r9 270 x GPU it should get me 10mh/s i just need to fix this error and try it for a week can you please help?

If you have a 270X you should mine either ZEC or XMR.

You can't mine ETH anymore since you only got 2 Gb of video memory.

If you mine ZEC you should get around 180hs. If you mine XMR you should get almost 500hs.

Both will consume similiar amounts of electricity based on the Pitcairn chips.

I think ZEC consumes more than the XMR.

Re: I'm glad I didn't buy any more video cards, a 1080ti barley makes $1 a day

Mining is still doing pretty well by me.

Counting absolute total cost of investment -- Computers, video cards, risers, electrical wiring, shelving, rooms fans, etc (literally everything I have bought for mining)... still getting 1/300th of total investment per day at todays prices. So in general forum terms less than 1-year ROI.

I got back in to mining about 15 months ago and have slowly built it all up so most of the stuff I have is actually already paid off... just looking at total cost / income as of today for the previous sentence.

If we see a bit of a bull market and things I am holding go back up a bit then it'll look even better.

I think if you are doing well, that is because you have cheap electricity price.

Re: Bitmain E3 Ethash Miner ASIC (Shipping:16-31 July. $800 USD)
by
Xianantung
on 26/04/2018, 16:05:48 UTC
I'm surprised who would still be buying it. considering you never know when eth team would pull the plug on it after they receive a unit. I just feel its kind of risky to buy them with shady business practice of bitmain going from 800-2200 you never know when the price drop might come
Seems like no matter what  the profit numbers and risk parameters are, some dumbass somewhere will buy it.

This dumbass bought 1 at $800 just to screw around with.

Could've bought 2 Eth and made a $400 dollar profit - don't understand why people thought an Eth ASIC was a good idea ...

If it is profitable to mine, and the difficulty is not rising too fast, miner is a good investment.

BAIKAL SCAM
I am not satisfied with Baikal's MoQ and high price policy, But one thing i am sure is that Baikal is NOT SCAM

They always delivered the machines they get payment for.

They will deliver your doorstop don't worry the point is that it will only mine for 2 weeks then it goes to the door work ....
SO I CALL THIS SCAM or you want them to come to steal money directly from your wallet ?
Open your eyes and face it BAIKAL is not like at the past and they get pressure from their competitor
ASIC companies want to make cash and they don't care about their clients face it ....

If that can only run profitably for 2-4 weeks due to the change of PoW, who would buy?

At this time 3 cards are down (power supply cable burns out), rest still works

I also had a second rig with 10GPUs with the 4pin connector riser cards an an asus p10ws stabile for weeks

What driver and windows version?

Re: Max GPU on one Rig

My opinion is that to increase the number of GPU on one rig is futile. The best option for me is a 6 GPU on one rig. Periodically, the rigs shut down. Also they need to serve. The downtime of your equipment is your loss. Big savings on the increase in the number of GPU in the same rig, you also get. Think about it.

That is right. I will run no more than 8 cards. If the rig is down, it just affect 8 cards, not 12 cards.

I am not happy if the government allows ISIS entry in the crypto world, will have an impact on bitcoin.

I thought most of the IS is supported by some rich Arabs, they do not use the Bitcoin.

I have been offered a few R9 380's 4GB - anyone know what the up todate expected hashrate is of these cards please?

many thanks
About the same as 280 or 280x (210 to 300 sol/s)
Watts per card are also pretty high so consider it as winter heater or if your electricity cost is really cheap only.

If they are anything like the R9 390's then I'd give them a miss.
I had R9 390's and with the amount of heat they gave out I could have turned the room the rig was in into a sauna.
I had to use two power supplies to run the rig with the R9 390's, they take lots of juice to run, hope he has cheap electricity.

I have a few R9 390. I run them at low voltage. It is quite efficient, about 2H/J. But it is lower than 1080Ti.

Re: Ether price?
by

I think the eth price will rise sharply.I read an article with Bill Gates .
He has written the Bitcoin and Ethereum Price will rise in the future.
1% of the money in the month in coins is ok. Then one is rich later .
I think he's right.  Smiley

Did Bill Gates mention Ethereum Classic sepcifically?

No, he never mentioned ethereum in a real manner.

For the price, I wait another bull market from ether. But this won't happen soon, if we can wait around 6 months, we can reach around $600 or so.

Can we have more new applications for the ETH? Last price rise was driven by ICO.

2492 Sol/s vs 2508.5    .. hahah  . is no difference Smiley)   dstm's ZCash Cuda miner   is the fastest zcash miner!

That is just 1% difference. So it is comparable.

Re: Ethereum mining still profitable?

I've been mining SIGT for the last week, profitability better than ETH and takes less power too.

What is your rig? AMD or Nvidia cards?

AMD RX 580s, Nvidia would be much better, but even with AMD it's more profitable than ETH especially it was going up for the last few days.

But the difficulty has gone up a lot as well.

The other problem is the ICE age or the diffculty bomb.
