upvotes team, do you have an option to set the pace or interval in between upvotes? I would like to make sure that upvotes that come in don't look manipulated.

on upvotes.io, I noticed a new feature where you can select the speed of their upvotes. Not sure about the actual intervals, but they have either slow or very slow. You can also opt for a faster speed but definitely not a good idea.  Tongue

Re: Is Your Money Safer In Crypto than at the Bank?
by

Compared to any type of investment, I think that the bank is the relatively safest place to keep your money. Although it will never grow and you will in fact lose money due to the ever decreasing buying power of money.

On the other hand, ICO investing is the most risky in all of crypto investing, but is the most rewarding imo. I plan to invest in projects like Menlo one and WePower as they have high potential as projects and could even be long term investments.

I think that KYC is there for a good reason since we wouldn't want money laundering to flourish. I would never give out my personal information to shady ICOs though since they are not worth the risk... It's a good thing an ICO marketplace like Menlo one is launching soon since we will only be required to submit our IDs once making ICO investing very convenient.

I'm accumulating Ethereum because of ICOs I'm planning to join. June and July have some promising sales in-store that could give me good returns; Menlo one or Etheal. Menlo particularly seems to be a very unique and brilliantly thought out. It's to become an ICO marketplace a lot like ICObench but with so more features like actually buying tokens. Also, KYC submission is required only once and we can enjoy ICOs without having to submit our IDs every single time.

This is an interview video featuring Menlo One's CEO discussing how this project could potentially change the way investors choose and invest in ICOs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rw1QBpBYE6o

Why don't you invest in upcoming ICOs with good potential? that way you don't have to take the loss straight away and you will still have a chance of recovering. There are interesting tokens such as Aethion and Menlo One which are by far the best choices imo.   This interview with Menlo's CEO helps shed some light on what the token is used for and how it will change the way we view ICOs https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=884&v=Rw1QBpBYE6o

The DAI stablecoin is the first of it's kind, so it's kinda hard to understand at first glance. It offers 1:1 parity against the dollar by converting any excess to a variant of Eth. How this will work in trading, I have no idea since it seems like and advantage for buyers when you look at it.

It looks like you need an Eth wallet running to purchase DAI. Does anyone know if we can purchase/convert DAI from exchanges? If so, which ones?

Re: HOW TO SPOT SCAMMY ICOS?
by

2. Anonymous project.

If you want to scam people, best way to do it is by hiding your identity. Therefore you should never trust a project that does not display it’s team members, company information nor physical address. No matter how good the project seems, there is a reason why they are hiding their identity.

This isnt always the case, I have always felt suspicious of ICOs when they link to the team members linkedin profile. Well, this may be legit in many cases as they want to build a positive trust by showing off the team. But, I also have seen people buying 20-25 old linkedin accounts through this forum.

Actually, there was one project that showed even the personal address of its owner. Sadly, it was still a scam. It's best to check past projects of these devs and their communities to be sure.

Though the post was published about 2 months ago. So that time the bearish trend was not over and after two months also the trend is not over. But at this moment I think the market will come back again to ATH.

any basis behind what you just said or is it just another prediction based on hope?  Roll Eyes

The advantages that Bitcoin offers are already in other emerging alt coins. They even have better features in actuality. The only real advantage that Bitcoin has is its popularity since it is the first go-to coin for people who want to start with crypto.

Its decentralized nature makes it virtually impossible to hack since each miner would need to be hacked at the very same moment.. We have thousands..

I doubt that Bitcoin will break above $20k in the near-term since there is not enough demand driving price up... I am hoping for good news soon so that Bitcoin can finally start its uptrend once again.

Re: deeponion is the best crypto
by
Yipsdow34
on 21/01/2018, 08:21:35 UTC
Everyone knows about deeponion. This is a coin whose demand is increasing day by day. It has recently gained a lot of reputation and has been involved in many markets. They are working to improve community queues. Hopefully they will advance a lot next year

Not true. Bitcoin is the best crypto and not deeponion. Bitcoin Market Cap=$201,827,995,040 versus Deeponion Market Cap=$49,551,304 USD, so, how come deeponion is the best crypto?

Maybe they are referring to the coin as having high potential for growth with lower risks compared to Bitcoin wherein it has already achieved so many things in terms of price and value.

I think Ripple will probably reach $100 by 2020, that's by far a very big leap in price already. It has a very large market cap and I agree that because of this, it will be hard to move prices up or down.

True, security-wise, I also believe that Bitcoin leads by a mile. Although as a mode of payment, I would still use XRP for micro transactions. I am not putting large amounts of money in my wallet anyway.

Bitcoin's demand has not decreased and it is proven by the ever-increasing number of pending transactions in the mem pool. I think this year will still ultimately be in favor of Bitcoin and a few alt coins.
