I'm against donations in a form of a fee. P2Pool has a number of disadvantages for miners comparing to centralized pools. There are large pools with zero fees. By asking money from miners we scare them further away. ASICs are expensive and have a limited useful life, so miners are generally only concerned about short-term ROI. Miners are not who care about future of Bitcoin. They are not ones we should expect donations from.
Instead we should appeal to those who have a stake in the Bitcoin world. There are large bitcoin holders and Bitcoin businesses. We should set up bounties, grants and subsidies directed towards mining decentralization. This way we can also fund P2Pool development.

Feature request: calculate a weighted average of and/or history of trading prices for each fiat currency.
I know that most people price their trades based on some formula using bid/ask/last prices from the major exchanges. However, given the divergence in prices between Mt. Gox and other exchanges, it would be very useful to have a bid/ask/last/depth based on what local bitcoin traders have actually decided to set their prices to.

Thailands fundamental basis of law is quite different in Thailand, every act is ILLEGAL, unless there is a law (and process, and procedure) to make it legal.
I am curious, in such a system, on what basis would a penalty be determined? Suppose, they proved that you received bitcoins from abroad. What penalty do you get?
