Re: We need to change
by
Yusuf_Jay
on 08/10/2018, 16:38:02 UTC
I have only gained good things from cryptocurrencies (they have changed my life for the better), however, I am frustrated at those who are in for money, and only money. They hurt themselves as well as cryptocurrencies future. I am sad that I still can't use bitcoin to purchase the things I want, as it isn't used as a payment currency/method. I am sad that there are big financial institutions that want (and do their best) to wipe the crypto world out, and instead of working together as a crypto-community to thrive, we are fighting, arguing, and scamming each other. Where I live, the government relentlessly tightens and destroys our financial lives—I was lucky to have found salvation in cryptocurrencies when others struggled.

We need to show the world that we are not just a bunch of wanna-be millionaires, that we actually care.

I agree with you, we need to change. But, we cannot completely blame those who are in for money, and only money, as you say.

I'm sure, the main interest the average person who comes to Bitcoin/cryptocurrency is because they hear the success story of someone (like you, maybe) who has gotten a better life because of Bitcoin/cryptocurrency.

Not now, as you know, bitcoin still has many obstacles to use as a practical currency, Bitcoin must be able to solve some problems related to shipping time and costs.

Re: Should we pay taxes on Bitcoin?
by
Yusuf_Jay
on 15/09/2018, 08:36:56 UTC
Yes, now in most countries, if you monetize your profits by converting them to fiat then you have to pay direct taxes or income taxes.

Although Bitcoin is not a currency that is bound to one country, today many laws regulate Bitcoin and require you to pay taxes.

Re: Bitcoin is independent? or depends on fiat currency
by
Yusuf_Jay
on 10/09/2018, 16:09:47 UTC
we are measuring it's value in dollars.

and what would you suggest we use to measure its value? it is the 21st century, we measure value of literary everything in fiat, those in US measure it in USD, those in Europe measure it in EUR, those in China measure it in CNY and ....

that doesn't mean it relies on fiat. would you like us to go back a thousand years and measure value of things like bitcoin in goods? like saying 50000 satoshi is equal to 1 chicken?

Well, that is a smart answer! Great answer!

At present, all valuables are valued and measured with fiat money, in other words, all depend on fiat currency. Obviously, that is the way we determine everything right now.

I think, what is meant by the independent nature of Bitcoin is the fact that bitcoin does not depend on the government, Bitcoin runs without the central authority or third parties.

Re: The death of Ethereum is inevitable? Can ETH on the price of $100?
by

I think it would be too much if we call Ethereum's death even though the price has fallen. Ethereum will surpass anyone's wildest dreams because Ethereum is used to build groundbreaking applications.

Well, I think it would be wise to do both. Day trading and HOLD both play their roles in different situations, and if you can read the market situation correctly, you can benefit from both.

Personally, I have never tried it. But my friend who has been trading for a long time say that Yes, trading bots automatically generate good profits, they can do it, but only if you know how to use it, he said.

Bots are not for beginners, but if you have the time and patience to learn, you can make more money than just trying to trade yourself, he added.

Re: Tax on the crypto currency! What do you think?
by
Yusuf_Jay
on 03/09/2018, 15:04:14 UTC
I think, the most suitable model for cryptocurrency tax purposes is the property, stock or real estate taxation model. You have to pay taxes if you have realized capital gains and you can lower your tax bill if you experience a loss.

Well, today we see people discussing the Ethereum accident, many Ethereum price predictions tend to look skeptical about it. But, as we know, many consider Ethereum as a land of cryptocurrency, so many things are built on it.

Therefore, it is difficult to imagine that Ethereum would fall without recovering afterward. With this, it means that if Ethereum falls, I'm sure the price will rise again. Ethereum is worth to invest in.

Re: The European Parliament Says Digital Currencies Can Be Used as Money
by

What I think about this statement is that the European parliament recognizes cryptocurrency.
They admit that it can be used as an alternative to money when many countries oppose cryptocurrency.

Re: BITCOIN = FUTURE
by
Yusuf_Jay
on 23/08/2018, 03:44:39 UTC
Yes, Bitcoin is the future. Even when you get there, the future of Bitcoin with its blockchain technology can be more than what people predict. You know for sure that Bitcoins emissions are limited, which gives you a guarantee that with bitcoin you won't suffer from inflation, political instability or economic problems, it all doesn't have an impact on the level of bitcoin. So, it's wise to invest in bitcoin now.

Re: Is Bitcoin Legal?
by
Yusuf_Jay
on 15/08/2018, 23:08:20 UTC
Well, to my knowledge, Bitcoin is declared illegal in some countries, but it is also legal in the country that has received it. Broadly speaking, I think the legality of bitcoin depends on the law that applies in one country, if in one country bitcoin is accepted and legal, but sometimes it is illegal in other countries.

Re: Unregulated market is illegal or legal?
by
Yusuf_Jay
on 15/08/2018, 23:01:28 UTC
Comming from a 3rd world country, many opinions around but not certain. The country gov. doesn't have official statement about crypto. There is a law that you cannot own a bank account abroad and that you can't own stocks outside of the contry. But i think crypto doesn't fit into stocks sector. What are your oppinions?

Yes, in a third world country it's very confusing, where we don't know the legal status of crypto. I conclude that the status of crypto in third world countries is not recognized but not illegal, and I think, for now, let's just enjoy the status not admitted but not illegal.
