in my opinion, bitcoin is worth holding in 3 to 5 years. because it has been stable from 2008 to the present. ether can be retained in 2 to 3 years. it is also very young, compared to Bitcoin.
It seems the ETH has more potential as it has big user community and active developments.
if you want to invest for a long term good choice is BTC, while ETH is good choice for short term. Neither of which this two you will choose it will still bring back your investment for sure. Both coins is good for investment.

You cannot use the CPU 8pin directly. You have to use an adaptor.

Letter bit, i am not surprised, because i know that, it is not a even of bitcoin. Because it is not a Halving day. Suddenly bitcoin down in this day, than i guess people are using their bitcoin to celebrate the Christmas, may be the reason to going down the price of bitcoin. Otherwise i think within 2 days bitcoin would be grow up. So let see what is happening in the last week of the year.
Basically the same happened before the last halving. People had been expecting the price to go down some time after the event, but it topped about a month before. We can see something similar here. People expect the price to top after some specific date or holiday, Cristmas or New Year, but the trend seemingly changes before the date. The lesson is that we shouldn't follow what the majority of people think or say and should instead act to the contrary, though not mechanically, of course.
The $1000 price was reached just 7 days later. So it is still very good.
Are you sure about 7 days ago? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the $1,000 level fell only 3 days ago, on January, 1st. And since then, the price has been rising constantly without any meaningful correction. Right now it is just short of $1,100 mark and will probably shoot higher during next few hours. But it looks more and more like heavy market manipulation, with people long expecting a correction and still failing with the price ever rising. We need at least a week of consolidation at some level to make any reliable conclusion about if it is really an organic growth as some are saying.

I'm starting to think after recent upwards trajectory that $1000 could definitely be possible soon. Maybe not by Christmas Day but by New Year yes.

The only investment that is now allowing to make money, atleast looks like, are the casinos bankroll, others ways usually lead us into scam projecs in the short- medium period. Sometimes savings is the best way, even not getting nothing extra for those, you are able to get interest at your bitcoins due the volatility.
I agree that sometimes savings is the best way because I am thinking that a good saver will be always a good investor. Because while he is saving money he gives value to it and he will spend it wisely whether it is for investment or not. And for me, to have a good investment you need to have good savings for backing it up.
Saving money is a challenge especially for young people.. because technology always updated and more and more products are being offered to us like gadgets, clothing, etc. We tend to use our savings to buy those things. So that's why it's realy important to control yourself to buy and more on to savings.
For the young people, if they can afford one bitcoin a year now and save for the long term, they will be very rich.
At crypto world we always want two things, more bitcoins and bigger value, with that said, we sometimes does invest trying to achieve both requests, sometimes we do loose in the road, savings for me has showed last halving it would be better hold my coins instead risk them, but this is up at each one.
Talking about crypto world, it's more on a investment on me, it's not savings because the word savings happens only in the bank and there's no risk on that. Here, it's full of risk but the reward is great..I wouldn't be so certain on that

Saving currently isn't really interesting as a normal savings account gets you about 4% interest per year. if you have money that you'll not spend the comming years it can be set at 6-8% each year but the downside is that you can't acces your money for 5 years. Are you be patient with it?
Very few people are that patient when we take into account the low earnings and the long time that you need to be invested, how instable the current world economy is, and the fact that the investment could turn into a scam then I do not consider that to be a good business.All investments are not scam and you can never have good and comfortable life in future if you will never invest, as there are many trusted investments like gold and real estates that can give you good profits in long term.
If you invest some bitcoin, for example, 10 bitcoins in the next few years, you might live a good life after.

Why do you want to extract the Crimson version installed on each rig. What is the extra benefit for doing that?
As long as you know your money is safe in bitcoin or bank and you will notice the big difference of that two, bank is 100% safe your money while in bitcoin 99% your money at risk but it would be gives you big income in times that the price of bitcoin would go high.
That is right. I think it is better to understand the risk and invest in the bitcoin and keep the bitcoin to yourself, you will be rich.

Solo mining Eth at a pool - simply follow the readme file.
Dualmining, depends whether you want to maximise ETH or you want more SC or Decred.
More Eth with AMD cards - set all cards to slow mode -etha 1,1,1,1,1,1,1
Set around -dcri 22 for SC or Decred- run for 24 hours and divide shares by 1440 minutes to find out your baseline average.
Then, experiment for yourself with SC and Decred settings!

Just try higher -dcri settings out to find what you happy with in terms of extra SC or Decred coin accumulation.
Overclocking - just google the web for the professional reviews on you specific model/manufacturers' GPUs overclock benchmark and use them as a guidelines.

I think the recent price rise is caused by the halving. The halving should double or triple the price from $440.
It is possible for the price to be around $800 during the halving time, then it will rise to $1200 within a year.
